This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

Odd, but I can't look at coat information for my RCs. Not the new ones that have reached VIP or that I have, as that's normal, but old coats. It worked fine earlier, but now I can't look at coat information when clicking the Apple.

Some players have been collecting 13 plus years, that is why we have huge collections. We collected before the trophies came along, before it became a normal part of game play and well before players realised they could profiteer from it.

So I'm sorry but why should I be happy that to maintain a collection I've worked hard on for around 14 years I am now an held to ransom each and every release?

Its not as if we are talking doubling the prices these days is it and it's not generally other collectors who are targeting us. So sorry again, but why should we be so gracious that flipping has always been a huge part of howrse exactly?

To buy the coats missed each month would be literally tens of thousands of passes now, not the packs I scrape together each month to use. As a player who plays within the rules, and with real life commitments, that is not anywhere in the realms of within my means in any shape or form. Again why should I be gracious about this, the system (creation space) no longer works how it was intended and in my opinion requires attention.

I now only choose one or possibly two that I really like. Saves so much stress.
This release I chose the 100 riding uni ( which actually looks fab in the moon ray ) and the 200 riding horse.
Oh and out of the blue, I managed to bag the 200 winged riding uni as it was a really slow seller.

I understand that many long time players have been collecting for 10+ years and I admire that, I really do, but why should your collection give you an advantage over other players who don't have that same collection? Why is your want of a coat more important than someone else's?

I'm not saying you have to be happy with the way things play out each release, everyone misses coats, but the reason why I commented is because I honestly get tired of people complaining in here each and every time (especially recently) about people flipping coats in sales as if it's cheating the system somehow.

I'm not sure if you meant to imply that flippers are somehow not "playing within the rules" and don't also have "real life commitments" but it really sounds like you are and that's a big assumption that I guarantee you isn't true. We are regular players, playing a game we love (/are addicted to rip), and funding that game in a completely legal way that has always existed. Older coats are flipped on the market literally all the time and no one bats an eye, I don't understand why it's such a big deal with new coats.

We all know they are worth far more than 100 passes. The market is only reflecting that fact.

Yeah, if getting 1 or 2 desirable coats for sales means i can afford VIP and some weekend divines, i'm not going to be made to feel guilty by people that were simply too slow to get it on release. Not sure why people feel entitled to coats... it's fair game for anyone who participates in release. The Viserys coat is very desirable and a LOT of people would like a copy, hence the price.

Anyway i missed the Viserys last night and would like it for my collection as i have the caracal and the panther, fingers crossed i can get it today default smiley :) All i need is the matching companions!

I'd just like to remind everyone that the first rule for this forum is absolutely no sales talk - because it leads to arguments as we see. If you intend to sell coats you have got, just put them in the sales, don't post about it in here!

PrimeHellix, I did not miss the point of your post. I am stating the fact that it’s not really considering shameless for the Lion to be priced as such when the other coats in that series have been valued around the same. Obviously some coats are worth more than others, I figured as an RC collector that’s something you would already know.

I just want to say as this seems to be a complaint every month. A LOT of players flip in one aspect or another. Weather that be wandering horses, rcs or normal ap horses.
Players on howrse are resourceful and with the collecting community being so profitable, I could see players who arent so interested in Rcs grabbing a few on release to sell so they can afford to fund whatever they do like in the game weather that be breeding or what not.

Limited horses always cause competition and someone will *always* miss out. Its just the nature of the game. Blaming players that sell isnt going to change the fact that sometimes you miss coats you want on release.

So I'm sure that as a nice and fair player, you provide ample opportunities for newer players who also want to collect to get older coats for reasonable prices, right? Since otherwise you'd be holding them at ransom for coats they really want, oh wait default smiley (8)

Alright and what about newer players wanting old release coats then, not like those are anywhere affordable either, some people use their fast release skills to grab an extra or 2 to afford those older coats, their vip or to spend on other aspects of the game.

I would gladly price mine down if i could (without it becoming a rulebreak) get some older wishlisted coats then. default smiley (y)

Nah mate just be on the game since 2009, collect every coat you can then hold them then sell at 2k a pop only to blame players that sell rcs they can just to be able to afford 1 of your horses.
