[Info] The Retired Coat Gallery

This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

*#*#*#* If players feel the need break the main topic rules, such as sales ads/coat countdowns/spares-you can expect an instant forum ban without any warning prior to it *#*#*#*

Or account sharing, who knows.... The fact is, it is very frustrating that one cannot get a copy for themselves, and there are players selling 150 out of 200 copies of a coat after the release, and often at a ridiculous price... I understand profit, but this is getting beyond any reason ......

I know there is one player who will buy all the cheaper copies of a 100 use coat, so she can corner the market and have them all posted for 1,600 passes each. Before you assume they have lightning fingers, check the previously owned status. Seems like a real gamble to me.

The developers really need to step in and change how many copies a single person can get, as it's not fair how a few can get a big chunk of the copies, then turn them over for a massive profit. I'm honestly getting to the point where I wouldn't object to early release buyers having to wait a bit longer for the limited coats they personally bought on early to show up, in order to allow others a chance to get a copy of that coat.

surely its general release thats the issue... VIP release is capped at one coat unless you sell it.

Like i saw someone with a ton of hennessy coats this month all in sales and i agree that getting a considerable amount isn't fair at all especially if you're just going to flip, but i don't think those with VIP should be capped at general just because of a few individuals who might have not even taken part in VIP release.

Problem is, several people that go through early are also the ones picking up extras at normal to sell for a huge profit, a delay or limit would stop this from happening.

Anyone up for a RC game this evening?

I've chosen a random word, from the current page of the book i'm reading to start us off- then post one or more of your coats that loosely fits the bill that we can all admire.

I agree with you to a point but this basically ruins the whole premise of the VIP release. Or can you give me another reason for the VIP release to exist? Point is that it is usually MORE chaotic than the regular release. I don't think there's an easy solution for this. default smiley :(

On another note, there's a player who's been buying up RCs and sending them to the Safe Haven. They've bought about 5 or 6 of my sales recently and have had friends report similar. Makes me sad

I have this one from earlier this year. I absolutely adore how the artist did the mane and tail.

RC's stand for retired coats. They are the golden apple coats that have been retired by the game, or by the creator of the coats. People submit their own artwork onto Howrse and if they get the most votes, Howrse uses their creation to be a golden apple coat. Some of them the creator of the coat set to be retired after a certain amount of uses. The most being 900, the least being 100. Naturally, the 100 use coats are often more in demand, but it does depend on the artwork. If you go to sales and click the silver apple, it will show you all the retired coats in auctions and in private sales.

Is the black tobiano coat color on a Shetland Pony rare?
