This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

This definitely explains a lot. I came back a week ago and thought I still had a good 50 more RCs to collect, just checked now and I only have another 8 to get that last trophy level. I think I picked up most of the pre-CS coats previously but I genuinely have no idea where they are in my farms.

I saw that too however I can say about a month ago I check and she hadn't been on since 2018 I think..

It stinks that they are changing the creators to "retired breeder"
I mean how hard is it to leave the designers name ..even if they retire from the game they still deserve the recognition.

I wish they would give us a heads up before they deleted accounts that have active pre creation space, would have given us chance to pick up some of the coats before they retired.

I don’t think DemureGirl has been on for years. Last connection date was 2018 and I do remember that that date was the last time they did a major clear out of accounts. Who knows *shrugs*

The bad part about giving us a heads up would be that a ton of players would be going to get the coats. That bumps up the number of uses for each coat drastically, and you'd have a ton of players flipping coats in the sales. I totally understand being frustrated, but it's better they don't mention account purges.

I'm not frustrated, just feeling a bit bad for those that do collect them. default smiley ;) Even just a PM to collectors to let them know would have been better than just purging the accounts quietly. I am not a big time collector by any means, but I still feel a heads up would have been nice to those that are.

I'm wondering, I abandoned an account a while ago on a different server and before I let it be deleted I got a message telling me it would be deleted in 14 days, perhaps all these players got the same message and didn't act on it, therefore the account got deleted, while DemureGirl got the message and acted on it before time ran out?

Or it's quite possible Howrse had something to do with it. During the last purge, a ton of player accounts were all marked as logging in November 28, 2018, (which I didn't realize until now is exactly 3 years ago). It's been mentioned in the last few pages, too.

The user in question logged in on the 28th, which is what prevented the account getting deleted. 3 years is a long time not to log in, so the email is a real possibility as the other users might have abandoned the email linked to the account, therefore never saw the notice.

Does anyone have a list of all the deleted accounts that had active Pre CS coats that are now retired? All of mine are mixed together so i am unsure of what all coats/accounts were retired. I'd like to go through and list how many are left of each coat on my copies.

This probably isn't fully complete, hopefully others can chime in, but tchestnut, horselovermia, GuinnessThe2nd, LuckyHorseshoe, Intrinsic, Hattie1, Loshadka, kailand, pimoose, sun1day, darkmaya, Twin Standardbreds, HeyBlondie, leopold and possibly cerona have all had accounts deleted recently.

Wow, the number of retired coats showing on the Directories page has gone from 4731 to 5070 this morning - that's 339 new RC's.

Is the method of selecting "retired coat", "not compatible with H.Ray" and then just hitting search fairly accurate in bringing up the most recently retired coats? For the most part, I found the names above by going through my own breeding farms and looking at the coats I thought were newly retired, but if you use the method above in the creation directories, I found some RCs by creators whom I know did not have retired coats (like afield5000). I wasn't certain if a bunch of others I saw were newly retired or not, so I didn't keep listing more. It's a way to cross reference your farms though.

RIP to the Regan6, Bonesy and afield5000 coats I still hadn't gotten to applying

Wow how crazy so many retired coats! Here are a couple that I have that just retired. Good thing I have been slowly trying to add them to horses, although I have missed a lot.

Ok, so I just checked, not all of them, but most. Just the abandoned accounts got closed down. This is gonna take forever to sort! Thankfully I have all of them and some spares of my favs.

Thank you guys so much for the names...looks like my work (and probably yours) is cut out for me! Is there by chance a typo in the pimoose one? That name doesn't bring up any coats in the directories.

I've been expecting something like this to happen for a while. I just didn't know if it'd be sooner or later. Actually, i expected all of the Pre CS coats to be retired, to make room or modernize or whatever. Honestly though, i thought Howrse would capitalize on it more. Thought they would announce they would be retiring them all on a certain date (kinda like the companions did) and give people a chance to buy and spend passes on the coats. I was looking ahead for this years ago and made sure i added all the available Pre CS coats to my collection, and boy i'm glad i did now.default smiley <:o)

I think it could be twins standardbred

The passes on pre coats went to the creator, it was a different system to the new one where they effectively buy the creations from the player. It was a max of a set number of passes and something like a pass for every 4 uses of the coat rather than upfront payment. That's why these coats could be retired by player.

Looks like I have been off my PreCS collecting faaaar too long, and I have also missed lots of coats that were on my wishlist. So back onto it.

Must.get.all.on.my.list.for.the.next.few.months. Must. And I am saying this with the clear understanding that even only Demure Girl creations will bankrupt me. Thank all the gods out there she is still playing!

For those who are having a hard time finding all these retired coats mixed in with the regular coats, follow these steps: Click Breeding farm/ my horses. Scroll down and click Advanced search. Click silver apple. Then click Search. Then click each and every breeding farm that has GA horses and the retired ones will show up. Not sure if you need Pegasus or VIP to get this feature, but it will save you a ton of time so I'd say worth it!
