Ok guys~~I'm super confused. I think someone mentioned it before....so has anyone found the answer yet---I just picked a pegasus golden apple coat & saw that several of the "retired" coat's are still available in the BM. Sooo, are they retired or are they still active?? Just curious.

Wow, this is a serious issue and needs to be addressed! Over the past few days, I've spent thousands of equis and a lot or real money in the form of passes purchased specifically to buy retired GA coats. After reading your message gizmogizzard, I just selected one of my Irish Hunters and scrolled the Golden Apple Coats it made available. I have bought the following coats in the past few days:
PaintyPaint, Blackwind, Night & Day, Firehourse, Horse White, Starry Night, Jump, Blue Flame, Medium Chesnut, Fuego, la fuetna, Fire King, My Blue Dream, Calymphe, Painted Mustang and Horse In Black, all whom show up as retired when you click on a horse that has them, but all still for sale in the Black Market. I have also been trying to get my hands on My Very First Coat, Dk. grey/black, Panda Horse, Fire, Mr. Palimino, Grulla Sabino, Golden Trotter, Black Splashed Whte and Mother Earth, and it's the same story with them. And that's just one breed of horse - I didn't check anything else, yet. We certainly need some answers! Vayonetx, the coat you posted above is available in the Black Market right now as well. |

Wow.....Then it seem's that all the coat's that went "retired" the last few day's ....are doing this? I spent 100,000 plus passes on them all as well. I will definately be upset if they are truly not retired.

Nothing really special, just some of the recent retireds i think
Black pegasus Two of these ones, on an sweet/spicy Arabian-retired breeder, and a foundation hano brown and white paint coat a white horse i don't know the names of them. and i have one named White Splash in heaven, i think that was his coat name, and a black pegasus, not the same as above. |
much coats in this list arent retired people just assumed it was, cause it was "rare" not used many times but it was still found at GA listing that meaning its not retired.
I made my own retired GA post at my ec cause of this list beeing not even realistic. thou I have no time all the time be online and seek after more that I have already listed. I tried to contact some of GA collectors but cause this, if I dont have you as friend I dont write you an answer thing. I have not gotten help with list either. but coats at my list are guarantiied retired I have found those howrses and tested it by clicking and seeing if I still could use coat to my own, when it came up with the text it was not possible I knew it was retired.

someone has that whistlejacket coat in sales.

Plague, this coat cant be a retired coat, its still in the GA option things.
GA coats, page 4, "horse white"

That coat has the same issue a lot of supposedly recently retired coats have - when you click on the coat on the page of Plague's horse, it does not give the option of using the coat on one of your horses (normally a certain sign of a retired coat) - yet it still shows in the BM when you browse the coats.
Very annoying for coat collectors... I wonder whether it was a glitch that they show up as unavailable, or a glitch that you can still snag them in the BM? |

rebekka and frostycolkid, the whole problem is that all along the way to tell if a coat is retired is to click on the coat. If you click on the link frosty has above, you will get the screen that shows you can't buy that coat anymore. But it is still available in the sales. THAT is where the problem lies.

I just checked with one of my Chincos, and Pony Love, Twins Chesnut, Pollypony & Sherry Poon's are also a part of this.
I don't have time right now, but I'm going to go through later and see how much I've spent buying these "retired" coats. |
By Retired breeder, 13th June 2009 13:40:44
Ooh, I hope the retired coats are really retired...I've bought quite a few and spend at least 20 passes. I've sold quite a few 'retired coats,' that I thought were retired and would feel bad if people who bought 'retired coats' from me weren't really retired.
Hope it's not just a glitch, as do very popular coats usually retire such as blackwind? Not sure have not been around long enough... |
By Retired breeder, 13th June 2009 13:51:10
I think it's only the really recent ones that have had this issue - so the ones that showed as unavailable when clicked on in the last few days. Luckily, I didn't buy many of these new ones myself, but how frustrating for those who have spent significant amounts getting these for their collections...
I wonder whether it's worth asking for any official word on this? |

I just sent a letter to contact us...
Hello, In the retired coats topic lots of people, including myself are wondering whether the coats that seemed to retire a few days ago really retired, as it looks like you can still buy them with Golden Apple. But when clicked on it says 'select a new coat for horse' etc. I've spent quite a few equus & passes on buying some of these coats. I have sold some 'retired coats' as well for equus & passes and of course would feel badly if they were not retired after all. Is it just a glitch & you can't really buy the coats anymore, or can you? Are they supposed to be retired? And stay retired? Thank you Not to good at letters but Hopefully I'll get a definite answer... |

I sent a letter to Jaguar outlining the issue as well.

My horse has this retired coat that I have never seen before. Does anyone have a horse with this same coat? Here's the address:http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=5770211

Nope, haven't seen that one - if you're certain it's not still available in the BM, it must be one of the coats from the latest Black Pearl submissions that has already been retired. Depending on how quickly it was retired and how many people used it before it was, it could be quite rare.
