So no one is using the Safe Haven. Why not get rid of it instead of changing it? Seems like that would have been the better solution.

There has to be some feature that allows players to get rid of unwanted or excess horses to help clear the system. Other pet sites have a similar feature.

Where the Safe Haven falls short, as has been discussed, is the payout. It's not enough of an incentive to bother with, unless it's an objective. Horse Heaven is also lacking, because Yggdrasil's reward falls short compared to pass horses. I haven't sent an older horse to Heaven since he was introduced. Younger horses don't count for him, so that excludes a good chunk of the horse population.

I'd love for the Safe Haven payout to, not only increase, but possibly get changing daily bonus amounts based on easy characteristics like breed, skill, GP, etc. (for the love of Pete, please no BM itemsdefault smiley (lol)). I'd actively seek out horses to buy and save for Safe Haven bonus potential. It may help shake up the sale prices a bit if players are out looking for horses that suit the daily bonus, but aren't desirable for competitions, breeding stock, or even ranking boosters

I'm also not against the Safe Haven, but 500 would only cover the cost of the cheapest public stud, this isn't even factoring in the vet fees. People are not going to send to Safe Haven when it will almost always result in a loss for them. I'd be a lot more likely to send and help clear up space if I could get at least the covering + vet fee on top of the amount they offer. It's the same with the divine that ages as you send horses over 25, the prizes just aren't worth the cost in the long run, but it would be more used if it was rebalanced.

There's one petsite I can think if that already has this feature: FlightRising. There are daily bonuses from breed, gene, and genecolour. Howrse only has to look at them for inspiration on how to make sending a horse to the safe haven more enticing.
Howrse could have a bonus for: x breed, x coat colour, x skill/GP between y#-z#.

Having a feature like this would both clear up sales and dramatically reduce the active horses hanging around in people's breeding farms which I assume would cause less of a strain on the servers.

Another suggestion is to give the safe haven a bit of an art refresh. Give the horses a meadow background or something so it's less, just... empty feeling.

I don't really like how you have to go through the sales now but I can also see how that makes sense.

Also maybe they should get rid of the number of horses ranking that just encourages players to stockpile horses on their account. Replace it with something else maybe? Could help encourage players to use the safe haven more.

They could also free up space by changing the way the coat trophies work, as people keep hundreds of mostly "junk" horses to keep them, whereas if it was changed to "own the coat at least once", it might encourage people to sell off or Safe Haven them, maybe even use them to add to the divine, if they didn't have to keep them to keep the trophies.

To the latest changed in TEAM play

So you have made changes to the way we breed from our team horses....

The changes are not good at all!!

know we can no longer find team horses to breed from when you click to find a stallion for your mare

you know how to manually enter the mares name and get the team member to reserve a cover from one of the studs you would like to breed from.

As if they where just any random horse in public sales

This makes breeding team horses very slow and very irititating! and time consuming for no reason

I hope this change gets taken back as its frustrating and a waste of time for team breeders

The only change i would have done for team covers is seperate into different tabs the stallions from different teams.

So that you dont have to look through different breeds when you need to cover a mare of a certain breed from the team you are working from, to avoid covering the top mare with the wrong breed stallion (or how ive seen it is now that the team affix only sees the afix stasllion so you dont see other team stallions)

Another change i find extreely bad for the teams is that you can no longer pick a specific team member to loan your horse too! why!! why make this change it was working so well as it was.

What if i dont whant just any team member to pick my loan?? you can just reserve the horse to the team sales if you whant anyone to pick that horse up. But loaning was the only way to specifically get your horse to the player you whant to carry on the training or breeding of said horse. ( i do like that you can pick 1 day loan)

For the admin of the team, what happens if they arnt active for the 30days or what if no other vips are active? does that mean the team gets deleted!?? because i find that very unfair after all the hard work that goes into making the team work.

Also if the team member who created the team isnt active for those 30 days and someone else gets the team how would they get the team back!!?? becase i dont find it fair that they would get their team stolen from them in just 1 month (real life exists outside the game)

We have a very small team that works hard to keep it at 4th place with the limited time of game play and different time zones of other players.

I speak for my whole team, this change does not benefit at all our type of game play and it really makes us not whant to bother with teams as its just like breeding any other normal horse in the sense of the amount of time that it takes to breed horses now.

It might work well for a top team that you can only dream about reaching their GP and that they dont need to buy horses in public sales to bump up the GP gain of your own team afixx. So i dont feel that none Team afix horses shouldnt be able to see team Stud covers...As long as they are the same breed it shouldnt matter.

Also we do not agree that you can have your team deleted or taken away from you in just 30 days which is no time at all!! people have real thinggs to deal with in their real llife. The game cost money, and VIP isnt cheap at all! So for members paying for VIP that shouldnt even be an option. At least 6 to 12 months of inactivity to delete a team

I hope tsome of he changes go back to what they where for team play default smiley :'(default smiley :'(

I didn't understand a single thing you said here.

Real life is definitely a thing... but I'm confused why people are so upset over 30 days moving bold admin. It's not like they said you have to blup a horse every 30 days or lose bold. You literally just have to log in. If you go 30 days and you don't even *log in* then yes, your real life has clearly taken a larger priority than Howrse. And your teammates who are still playing and enjoying Howrse shouldn't be barred from things like payouts, which only the bold admin can do.

One would hope that is a group of people who are there to support you. Or maybe you completely abandoned them and they had to continue on with team duties. Either way, if you want *complete and total control* over a team, be the only one on it, or at least be present.

And where was team deletion officially stated? Unless I missed something, then for all we know, if there are no other VIPs or members, then when bold "passes" it might just stay with that same person because it only said it goes to the VIP who contributed the most. If there is no one else eligible, it may stay with the inactive person and restart the 30 day timer. Clarification can be used there.

Some things hit very close for people. They will protest default smiley (8)

Hopefully next they will introduce some additional logic to interrupt scripts then we would all be back to a level playing field default smiley :)

They should do a "number of horses sent to safe haven" ranking!!!

There is absolutely no reason to put loaned horses up for grabs for the whole team. The express point of loaning is for a specific team member to temporarily "borrow" the horse (mare) for a short period of time. Usually to tear breed. I know lots of teams that have 1 or 2 members with Aphrodites' Privilege and they are the ones who tear breed for other members.

If it doesn't matter who claims a foal (or adult) that's what the existing team sales are for.

I foresee this new loan feature will be a huge headache for Prix teams who use a limited window for producing top GP worthy skillers in order to please the buyers who rely on getting their preps/skillers in a timely manner.

Can you give me the secret to producing skillies within your window of opportunity? After all these years we would all benefit from that little tidbit.
Otherwise when it comes to loans that's nonsense. Your team knows there's a loan because a mare needs to be teared. If people were able to tear on their own they wouldn't need to loan and as far as I can tell team members know when prix is approaching that you are the one with tears so they're not going to take "by mistake".

Why are you protesting so much default smiley (lol)

Trot Prix is Tuesday. As a team we have a dedicated 24 hour tearing window that starts when entry to Cross Prix opens. In that time we tear as many mares as needed to fill orders from players and hope to get a few extra for direct sales. Once Cross Prix runs our tearing window is closed and preps are either reserved to those who places an order with extras put in directs so buyers have 24 hours to complete skilling before trot Prix.

With GP so high the range of IBS is now over 500 points from lowest to highest. We only use foals that are within 25 points of top IBS. Unless luck is in our favor we can tear up to 10 mares trying to get skiller worthy IBS. 20 minutes to breed each mare til she's 30 years old. 10 mares is over 3 hours.

This isn't the point. The point is I have to be online to claim the mare. I work a full time job and a part time job.and can't access Howrse at work. My team has co so they can loan to my account and tear when I'm at work or asleep. With this new loan system that can't happen anymore so I either don't sleep for 24 hours or take the day off work.

I think in their minds that's the whole point. default smiley ;)

By the way, I got this answer about the Croesus' Fortune:

" It seems that after today's update, the item's bonuses were added retroactively. Therefore, we consider the issue resolved. The lack of update in the Dev's Corner is just a question of communication that probably should have included the update of Croesus Fortunes, but since we have already described the item's update in the previous version, that partly explains why it was not mentioned again."
----

Yes, I replied to them because my howrses and Divines that already have the Croesus' Fortune are still having to find the Tub of Grease. So no, the issue in not resolved. default smiley (n)

Which divines in particular, or is it all of them?

I've looked at over a dozen of my horses that already had a Fortune applied, and hadn't had anything more than groom and bedding done in some time, and they all have the bonuses on them.

Whoops, my phone had a melt down.
Did you have to do a lesson with them today to find the Grease?

I ask because those horses have the Grease currently applied. If you age up the normal horse so it loses it, or grab a horse that does not have the Grease, you can send those links to Contact to show that the bonuses weren't retroactively applied

I can't see a fortune equipped to the horse linked here, either. I *do* see the comb, hoof pick, and tub of grease the item was supposed to be replaced by, though.
