Our developers have something to tell you! Every three (3) weeks, our devs will provide you with information about their work in the “Dev’s Corner.”

This publication is a way of keeping everyone updated on what’s happening with the game. We invite you to discuss and leave your feedback for each of the publications.

Note: All posts must adhere to the forum guidelines and be constructively made.

Take a look at our very first Devs' Corner publication!

Warm wishes,

You do realize that not everyone has 20/20 vision, right? Why make things smaller and less noticeable? I keep aging my mares past breeding day because the cover button is too pale and small.

Plus the new stroke button (with 4 fingers) looks like a muppet flipping the bird.

it's a no from me
The groom button looks uneven. The outlines look poorly rendered. Many of the shapes are too skinny. The competitions buttons were never really that clear anyway. Maybe try designing the interface with accessibility in mind?

The hand looks so odd! No need to make a princess gesture! It's between the dainty princess hand and the gesture I give to drivers who almost hit pedestrians crossing the street.

I do NOT like the new covering symbol. I know its silly but it looks really old, like 2009 howrse.

Why not fix things that need fixing? The icons were fine before. You know what isn't fine? The distinct line between the tail and rump of the finnish.

No for some reason when I'd do a certain order of groom, feed, stroke, etc it would reload my page. Knew it wasn't my fault when it was happening on my mobile desktop too.

It still amazes me that with all the things that actually need fixing.. these are the changes that Owlient implements.. not just needless but actually making things more difficult..

Well, I have to agree with everyone else. I don't like the new icons.
Even my dislike of change aside, they do somehow look older (less detailed, worse graphics, and less helpful) and more bright/distracting. I don't understand why we have this change - for instance, the "cover my mare" option just looks weird and skinny now. It looked fine before.

Howrse, can you... undo this update? Pretty please? I'm sure it would make a lot of players happier than this update did.

Ha ha ha... funny you should mention that. Howrse didn't fix that issue when they changed the appearance of the buttons.
I've had that problem for a while and still have it. It wasn't the look of the icons.

Useless and unnecessary updates, that are more troublesome than helpful

Why not put some more effort on things that really need fixing

Why fix something that's not broken? The new icons look so strange and the small size is not inclusive to those with vision impairments. default smiley (n)

I don't really mind most of the icon changes, I think the older ones looked better but I can live with these, its just that 4 fingered stroke and the squished looking lesson button that really bother me.default smiley :s

Howrse would be wise to use PrePod as a way to get input on cosmetic changes. Why not poll those on PrePod (which I assume has a nice variety of players) to get positive and negative feedback instead of springing things on us that cause unnecessary angst among the customer base that pays to keep this game going?
