do you have statistics on that tho?

Howrse is too complex to be a good mobile app game. Those should be simple and fast to be functional and prodictive. There is no way in hell players who do more then "bed 10 horses and click promo yay done" would be able to be as efficient on mobile.

You do you, but realisticly and objectively howrse would not be a good app game.

It does come to personal preferences and habbits (I rejoined recently, thus prefer app. Most of rejoined folk uses app.)

Sorry, gotta disagree here. I used to play in 2015, returned last year, and 1000% prefer classic. I know a lot of other returning players that do as well. Mobile is too hard to navigate and entering specific comps feels like punishment. Plus there are still a lot of things on mobile that aren't available at all. The creations directory alone is so big I can't see it ever being fully functional on mobile.

Considering that they want to make mobile and desktop 1:1, I can't help but wonder if they're going to scrap the directories at some point, too. default smiley :(

The future of Howrse looks bleak, what with all these mobile-only updates. I know I won't play if they go mobile-only and scrap the desktop version, or break it so thoroughly that it won't even be worth playing anymore.

Good development + good coding can make Howrse good app game.

Probably not, honestly.

I think the trouble is that while there's some stuff that's evidently easier on the app (AP farming from what I've heard, as well as congratulating if you're going for the popularity rank) other stuff isn't. BLUPing is supposedly a nightmare, and a lot of people struggle with the sales as well. Considering the main point of the game is to raise and sell horses, that's not ideal.

So while it's still a matter of playstyle ultimately, I don't think Howrse is ever going to be a good app game unless you're only doing really basic stuff. Like maybe newbies and casual players like the app version, but competitive players and the people at the top use desktop and I think that says a lot about the way the game works on mobile.

Here's my feedback:

On the horse sales page, the sales options have been updated and now adjust to the horse selected. - Never noticed

We made a fix to solve a problem with the morale penalty that was not correctly taken into account during the beach rides. - Never noticed

The color of the buttons is changing to ensure graphical consistency. - Don't care

Multiple sales at the Safe Haven for VIP and Pegasus players are now accessible only from the dedicated option on the breeding farm page. This can no longer be done from the multiple horse sales page. - Don't care

Corrected a bug that allowed you to sell team horses with a genetic potential higher than the threshold defined by the team through multiple sales. - Don't care

The success message (top of page) for multiple sales now informs you if some horses cannot be sold. - Don't care

WHAT ABOUT the Promotional Videos???? Fix something that matters to us! Make the horrible Trophies more appealing to us!

Not one, single, solitary thing on this month's list of improvements is anything I'd even NOTICED as being a problem that needed fixing.

I'm glad the team sales bug thing was fixed. If the next step is to make it so the cap doesn't affect horses already sold to other players, then that's even better

I'm on the fence about the morale one.default smiley (lol) It bugged me the manual stated there should have been a penalty that never incurred. But now we have to pay attention to morale when doing beach rides. Adds to the challenge, I guess

Ho, hum, changes that don't mean goose berries to most of the players.

How about something we can use?

How about a filter in horse sales that allows you to search for horses with Ouranos and Gaia as parents? NIBers would love this!

How about changing the color of skills when filled, for the players with weak eyesight to see that the skill has been completed? Like changing from blue to black? I know it would help me.

On the subject of backgrounds, how about categories, such as meadows, castles, Halloween themed, trees, canyons, beaches, seascapes, etc.?

Wait, can someone explain the beach rides thing to me? Why do I have to pay attention to morale now?

If morale is not at 100% when doing beach rides, your horse won't transfer all skills possible. Similar to how health applies to earning skills from training, rides and comps.

The morale penalty has been stated in the Manual for awhile, but I don't recall when it stopped working. I know I tested it some time back

I would like to see a warning before my employees are gone.

Only allowing us to use a certain amount of energy needed to finish a skill was a nice addition in the recent past, but it doesn't always work. So, I am still checking to make sure I am not wasting any energy when finishing up training of a skill.

Here's my feedback:
I have no idea what any of these changes refer to:
--sales options, beach rides, Multiple sales at the Safe Haven for VIP and Pegasus players are now accessible only from the dedicated option on the breeding farm page. HUH??
The only change that makes any sense is fixing the bug that allowed team horses to be sold above the assigned team GP!!

I don't understand what "the sales options are updated and now adjust to the horse selected" means, the options look the same to me, I don't see any difference?

I also wish that since they've noticed issues with the team sales cap they would put the effort into updating it so that horses sold outside the team aren't affected. The cap should apply only to team members and ex-team members, full stop. People are getting screwed out of money and they usage of their horses because Howrse will not address this. I don't know why they didn't fix that first since that's the MUCH more pressing issue, not a minor bug that allows you to skirt around it.

You forgot to add that you have adjusted the speed of the UFO's.
They now race around the screen, Cheetah speed - seriously it's honestly hilarious. Also SO frustrating to try and catch one, so now I just reload the page default smiley (d)

Please add a search for the Achilles heel, it's incredibly annoying having to go through horses one by one to see who has what.

To be clear, a penalty for low morale is different than a penalty when the horse is not healthy. When they are healthy and have low morale it takes more energy for the duration of the training. Instead of getting 10 hours worth of dressage skills, you would likely only get 9.5 hours worth. You can still do mountain/forest rides without 100% morale and it doesn't make a difference.

For beath rides, you were also able to do them when the horse had low health and it didn't matter so does anyone know if now there's a health penalty?

I went and tested it and you can have low morale and there's no impact for a ride, training or comp but it now tells you there's a penalty for beaching. That's a silly rule because if you comp your horse and it finishes 3rd-5th that means you will be penalized when you beach. All your comps will now have to run before you beach or you must have a ray.

Whoever was responsible for updating the Dev's corner didn't do their job (as well as whoever should have doublechecked it). The last entry is still 11th July.

Yeah I'm confused too. There wasn't a notification email sent, nor is there an update. Is there just nothing to report, or was the post about the update made in error?
