Thank you so much for putting the equestrian center on mobile as well!!!!

...Wow. i should have expected some ridiculous nonsense like this but I am somehow still surprised. I'd like to know who even uses the horrible mobile site because it's certainly not me. Also what's with the push over to Discord? You guys going to remove the forums entirely the next update?

Love this update! Much easier to manage an EC when it's available on both the classic and mobile versions.

Thrilled to finally have the ec on mobile! Thank you!

...Wow. i should have expected some ridiculous nonsense like this but I am somehow still surprised. I'd like to know who even uses the horrible mobile site because it's certainly not me. I use this beautiful mobile app, which is so much more comfortable then trying to open classic version on phone. Not ridiculous, not nonsense. Having EC on app is absolutely great. Wonderful long awaited update! |
Sorry I’m a bit out of the loop here, where is the push for discord? I don’t see it mentioned anywhere?
Very very VERY happy about being able to access EC on mobile now!! Believe it or not, some of us do use it. Got tired of switching between mobile and desktop version just for a single feature.

the blue when you a horse to bed on Mobile THIS. We need this back. It was extremely useful visual. Now im all lost with those tiny moons. |
Well it is nice to see your ec on mobile but it is a little harder to handle it. You don't seem to be able to select multiple boxes or workshops for repairs etc. I think it will be useful for some things but I think overall the classic version will be better. But a start is a start and I appreciate that

It would have been nice to have seen the previous mess of a trophy update adressed before everything gets buried behind a new update instead.
Is the strategy literally just going to be not adressing it?

PLEASE bring the blue back when you bed a horse on mobile ! It was really useful, not sure why it's gone

Hiram Farmer, perhaps I am using a different site version than you? I have it up on my Android phone and it's so janky. I will tap on a horse to care for it and it will load some other random page, and scrolling is glitchy and impossible. That's why I'm so irritated because to me it feels like they're just adding more broken features to a broken website :/
Not to mention many of these updates to the mobile site seem to be coming at the cost of classic desktop features, such as destroying trophies to make those hideous mobile compatible icons.

It never lets me scroll and by the time the monkey head stops spinning I'm usually somewhere I didn't want to be. Adding the EC to mobile was great and all, but they need to fix all the glitches already present.

...Wow. i should have expected some ridiculous nonsense like this but I am somehow still surprised. I'd like to know who even uses the horrible mobile site because it's certainly not me. Also what's with the push over to Discord? You guys going to remove the forums entirely the next update? The EC being added to the app has been asked for for years now, many don't have the privilege of owning a computer. I'm personally chronically ill and frequently have to go and lay down an hour or two earlier than expected, so I often had to miss the ending of my workshops as I can be down for hours and the classic version on mobile isn't the easiest to use, so I usually passed on picking up my production for hours. It's only "ridiculous" if you don't have to rely on the app to play the game or when you are away from your computer for whatever reason. Not every change like this is going to benefit your game, that doesn't mean it can't be added and benefited from by others.

Ooo yea cool... we get the EC on mobile but nothing on people's years' worth of collection trophies being zapped out of existence.
|
I am glad and appreciate being able to work and check my Ec on mobile but as others have said I wish the blue background was still present to indicate a horse was bedded down. I used that to be able to quickly tell if I had started on a horse and not put it to bed as I am frequently interrupted while working my game and leaving a horse awake can be very frustrating with divines and Legendaries as they can not be aged the way normal horses can be.
As there are already plans to make further updates to the game it would be nice if returning the blue background to bedded horses was one of them.

Wanted to share my opinion too, even if it’s the same that most people have.
I love that we have the ECs now on mobile, it was an update we wanted and asked for for a long time. That doesn’t change the fact, that we still would like the old look of our trophies back! I really like the idea that you get prizes for your trophies, but what about the coat trophies? And how sad is it that I’m the only one that knows what these symbols stand for? Also, please let the sleeping horses on mobile be blue again, my eyes aren’t the best and I can’t see the moons on a background that’s nearly the same color. All in all, thanks for the ECs on mobile, but please change the other things back to the way it was before!

I agree [Found on Page 110]
It's frankly disgusting that the trophies specify you have to APPLY the coat or companion in order to get the trophy. It was never like that in the past, purchasing a horse used to count towards trophies too. Why has Howrse removed purchasing horses as counting towards trophies, when purchasing horses is a fundamental function of the game? The reason Howrse allowed players to sell and purchase horses is because that was a realistic function of owning and breeding horses in real life. This game was never about applying coats or companions to horses, that was just a fun bonus that allowed players to customize their horses. Nor was it about collection of horseshoes or clovers, and it wasn't about how many quests you went on with your divines or how many points you got with them either. Trophies were bonuses you got as you played your game however you wished, with a beautiful reminder of your effort you could once display on your page. Now it's a progress bar and a chore. Even if your goal was to own all the divines categories and have all those trophies, you didn't have to do anything special with your divines to obtain your collections trophy. The trophies mainly celebrated the horses you had - not what you could do with them, and it added value that there was more than one coat available for each item, and more than one divine available for each collection of divines. Because you couldn't just complete a trophy by having a bajillion of the same horse - there was a reason to collect the different ones. And that's the point of the sales, so you can buy horses you don't have. The trade force of players wanting to purchase divines and coats they didn't have to complete trophies used to be IMMENSE. But if trophies no longer account for, or severely undervalue the worth of having unique coats and divines, this driving force is stunted. And think of the technical cost of applying 250 coats to horses (that's what my trophy is at right now). Every single 'coat' available costs a minimum of 100 passes, if we're just talking Golden Apples. That's 25000 passes, which, based off the prices in the store (I used pricing for the "most economical" pack) that would total about $242 USD. I don't know about you but I sure don't feel like spending $240 to achieve a trophy which will give me some points to fill a gauge which will give me a Fertility Wand or something. Even if I got a divine, it wouldn't be worth over two hundred dollars. The reason that we have horse sales, and that we are able to price them for passes OR equus, is so we don't have to spend real life money to get the horses we want all the time. Not to mention that the said coats themselves are go for 100+ passes in the Black Market but are often worth LESS than what you pay for them in passes in the actual sales! The wandering horse coats, Book of Monsters, Magic Hat, 5th Element, the majority of those coats, if applied to a horse, would not go even close to 100 passes in the sales. It is simply overall not worth the cost you'd pay to achieve the trophy or the prize. Even Golden Apples, without additional items, are worth less than 100 passes. There are two horses sitting in direct sales right now priced at 90 passes with a Golden Apple. However, Golden Apples will go in sales for about 300k, even though technically speaking, 90 passes according to the game is equal to only 90k. Players are much more willing to spend equus than passes on horses they want. Howrse is trying to force players into spending passes by making it a trophy requirement to apply Black Market Items. Are you going to wait for the events to grant you 250 Golden Apples, Magic Hats or whatever other customization item? Good luck, considering how stingy the events are now. You can't even BUY companions in the Black Market so you are forced to take part in events if you want to achieve your companion trophies. It's still going to take a very long time to complete these trophies, like YEARS (and some are downright impossible, like winning hundreds of rosettes with the same horse, who's brilliant idea was that?), if you don't spend a lot of money on them. The collections are just an organized view of the horses you own - they have nothing to do with your trophies. Completing a collection no longer counts towards trophies, it only counts towards the numerary value the trophy states you must achieve. Applying 250 of the same Wandering Horse coat will be worth as much trophy wise as applying 250 different ones, which kind of makes the fact that there are different coats available for the same item moot. And of course, buying them has no effect on your trophies whatsoever.

It would have been nice to have seen the previous mess of a trophy update adressed before everything gets buried behind a new update instead. Is the strategy literally just going to be not adressing it? That's their usual strategy yeah. Just... keep plugging along and wait for everyone who can't play with the update to get disgusted and leave, and for the newbies to come on and replace them (since they won't even know what they missed, THEY won't complain about it) I did kinda hope they'd prove us all wrong this time and actually address their nonsense but nope. Enough players have flat-out quit that they're probably not getting as many complaints.
|
Discord doesn't make much sense to me... While it's more open, yes, it will have less people and less opinions. Is that what they want? My guess is they've been getting so much negative feedback lately that they're trying to tuck it away where it'll be seen less. Not sure why they care, since they don't respond to it anyway or seem to even READ it since they never do anything about it, but yeah. I think they really do want to hide it. Looks better in public, I suppose? :/

Really liking the addition of the EC on mobile. I just recently was getting into managing an EC and it was difficult maneuvering on the classic version via mobile.
I hope that with the trophies they make it where you can click on the ribbons and see all the trophies listed that the player obtained. To me, the trophy system is similar to Playstation's trophy system. You don't see what trophies you obtained specifically right away, but they're listed in categories like it is here. (Bronze, Silver, Etc.) I don't mind it because I'm familiar with that system. I just wish that others can see what specific trophies I earned by clicking the ribbons. I like the visual of them. It's not as cluttered looking as before.

I like the EC addition to mobile, it speeds up workshop retrieval and crop harvesting, but they need to bring back the blue background on bedded horses. The moon is sometimes blocked by the horses images themselves (mostly winged horses wings) which makes it hard to tell if they've been taken care of.

I do appreciate the e.c. being added to mobile. It helps a lot since I don't always find it worth it to check on one thing on classic.
I do not understand why the blue background was taken away for bedded horses it was a big help, please bring it back. Its already hard to tell between the gold and bronze trophies I don't need to have to double check what's going on with each horse too when I just want a quick glance to make sure they are all done for the day. Remember that most people playing mobile are using a smaller screen and bigger contrast helps leaps and bounds, we should be going forward with things that need work not backwards on what already does. Also, as far as trophies go I'm not a fan of the trading the beautiful artwork of the trophies for basic ribbons that don't show anything significant or interesting. I don't mind switching it up, I like the goals and gifts (there is something nostalgic about it). I do, however, understand why some people are upset. I think with things like the coats (non special) trophies, we should not have to have in possession every one of the horses, instead maybe have breed one of each ( I mean it's so many, each species, breed and color and so on) but also, the people that collected coats (like apples) spent a lot of time, effort, and money to meet goals are now having their efforts taken away. The changes also have the potential to disrupt the sells when it comes to coats, companions, etc. And how some people play. I feel like I didn't articulate this really well but hopefully I get across my own opinions.
