It would be interesting to see some statistic detailing what players spent towards obtaining the old trophies that now no longer exist.

Lottery II
Collect 6000 clovers

There's barely enough time to get half of those in a single lottery; on UK and AU there are 4 draws a day and even with only accepting high amounts of clovers I've only just gotten over 2000 on both, even less on this server. I get it, not all the trophies will be doable quickly, but this is an event that happens maybe twice a year, so why are the requirements for the trophies so high? If this is only the second clover one I dread to think how big of a jump there will be by the time we get to the gold trophies.

that's crazy. last time they did the lotto was a yr ago. i know cause that's when i sent the complaint of the fact that it would 168MILLION clovers to get 25 pass seeds.

The last lottery was actually back in August, where they first released the jenny and zebra. default smiley (y)

Or it could have been one of the battles, we have this event often enough to the point that it is easy to mix up what ends up being the "reward" portion

my contact us ticket about the absolute absurdity of the cost to buy 25 pass seeds (168 MILLION clovers) was 2/9/22. the prizes were Dark Chocolate (free) and white chocolate (600 passes).
If there was one in august i'm surprised i didn't say anything to contact us.

anyone else noticing with the new help desk that people are asking the EXACT same question in both the help desk and the gameplay forum. doesn't that defeat the purpose of the anonymousness of the help desk?

Seeing as they STILL haven't fixed the rosette trophies, could someone let me know what the 'rosettes with the same horse' levels are please? Is it 250, 500, 1000? Mines been stuck at 92% for days for no discernible reason

I think with the lottery pass seeds you're only supposed to get 2-3 and save up over... I dunno, 8 years. default smiley xd

Nothing for nothing, I suppose.

Honestly I feel so disappointed with that change. I just saw in Direct Sales horse with Wandering Coat which I miss in my collection - and almost buy it but I thought NO - it is still necessary for me? I have Golden Trophy with 100% "Special coats VI - Put 150 special coats on some horses" - does it mean there is no need to buy missing coats as it will not be counted in this trophy anymore?
I would like to have fully collection but price is high so it matters for me if it counts to trophies or not.

What's more, do special coats and golden apples count only if I give that item to horse or can I buy them from sales?

If someone could advise me if I understand it correctly (as I feel really dizzy still after this trophy's change) - I would be grateful.

Wandering Horses are also in Collections, and buying horses do still count for Collections. You can either apply it yourself, or buy the coat.

Since the Trophies specify that we have to put the coat or companion on horses, those must be applied ourselves. It doesn't have unique coats or companions for them. You can keep applying duplicates if you wish.
Golden Apples are only in Trophies though, not Collections

It's frankly disgusting that the trophies specify you have to APPLY the coat or companion in order to get the trophy. It was never like that in the past, purchasing a horse used to count towards trophies too. Why has Howrse removed purchasing horses as counting towards trophies, when purchasing horses is a fundamental function of the game?

The reason Howrse allowed players to sell and purchase horses is because that was a realistic function of owning and breeding horses in real life. This game was never about applying coats or companions to horses, that was just a fun bonus that allowed players to customize their horses. Nor was it about collection of horseshoes or clovers, and it wasn't about how many quests you went on with your divines or how many points you got with them either. Trophies were bonuses you got as you played your game however you wished, with a beautiful reminder of your effort you could once display on your page. Now it's a progress bar and a chore. Even if your goal was to own all the divines categories and have all those trophies, you didn't have to do anything special with your divines to obtain your collections trophy. The trophies mainly celebrated the horses you had - not what you could do with them, and it added value that there was more than one coat available for each item, and more than one divine available for each collection of divines. Because you couldn't just complete a trophy by having a bajillion of the same horse - there was a reason to collect the different ones. And that's the point of the sales, so you can buy horses you don't have. The trade force of players wanting to purchase divines and coats they didn't have to complete trophies used to be IMMENSE. But if trophies no longer account for, or severely undervalue the worth of having unique coats and divines, this driving force is stunted.

And think of the technical cost of applying 250 coats to horses (that's what my trophy is at right now). Every single 'coat' available costs a minimum of 100 passes, if we're just talking Golden Apples. That's 25000 passes, which, based off the prices in the store (I used pricing for the "most economical" pack) that would total about $242 USD. I don't know about you but I sure don't feel like spending $240 to achieve a trophy which will give me some points to fill a gauge which will give me a Fertility Wand or something. Even if I got a divine, it wouldn't be worth over two hundred dollars.

The reason that we have horse sales, and that we are able to price them for passes OR equus, is so we don't have to spend real life money to get the horses we want all the time. Not to mention that the said coats themselves are go for 100+ passes in the Black Market but are often worth LESS than what you pay for them in passes in the actual sales! The wandering horse coats, Book of Monsters, Magic Hat, 5th Element, the majority of those coats, if applied to a horse, would not go even close to 100 passes in the sales. It is simply overall not worth the cost you'd pay to achieve the trophy or the prize. Even Golden Apples, without additional items, are worth less than 100 passes. There are two horses sitting in direct sales right now priced at 90 passes with a Golden Apple. However, Golden Apples will go in sales for about 300k, even though technically speaking, 90 passes according to the game is equal to only 90k. Players are much more willing to spend equus than passes on horses they want. Howrse is trying to force players into spending passes by making it a trophy requirement to apply Black Market Items.

Are you going to wait for the events to grant you 250 Golden Apples, Magic Hats or whatever other customization item? Good luck, considering how stingy the events are now. You can't even BUY companions in the Black Market so you are forced to take part in events if you want to achieve your companion trophies. It's still going to take a very long time to complete these trophies, like YEARS (and some are downright impossible, like winning hundreds of rosettes with the same horse, who's brilliant idea was that?), if you don't spend a lot of money on them.

The collections are just an organized view of the horses you own - they have nothing to do with your trophies. Completing a collection no longer counts towards trophies, it only counts towards the numerary value the trophy states you must achieve. Applying 250 of the same Wandering Horse coat will be worth as much trophy wise as applying 250 different ones, which kind of makes the fact that there are different coats available for the same item moot. And of course, buying them has no effect on your trophies whatsoever.

Sorry to be negative here - BUT I do not use the app other than when we have the labyrinth promos to navigate the map. So it won't make any difference to me.

Makes me sad to see you now require we go to discord to even vote.... seriously howrse.
Will be my last comment on this change. Vote 1

^ I wasn't able to vote either.

I am ridiculously tired of everything being taken off-site, such as horse giveaways on Facebook (a site which many of us deliberately avoid).

But at least that is a surplus feature.

Not being able to give negative feedback or vote on the site itself is a whole different story.

So far loving the EC on Mobile. I'm sure there will be bugs and some getting used to but really like the idea.

Please bring back the blue when you a horse to bed on Mobile. This is how I normally make sure a horse is bedded. Its just a time and comfort thing.

Keep up the good work.

It’s sad we have to vote on discord, as many of us don’t use it default smiley :(

But nevertheless, I LOVE this feature! I get objectives all the time that are like “start a production in a workshop” or “retrieve something from the workshop” and I use mobile a LOT now! So this is very helpful! And it’s just helpful to have my center around so I can check on it and grow/harvest crops and cows!
Thank you for that!

But it makes me sad too that there are giveaways on Facebook, and we have to vote on discord, and all that stuff! It makes things feel a little unfair to those who cannot use those. Those who try to stay away from there. I wish you brought all of that here to Howrse! I’ve never participated in any giveaways or things on discord, bc I DONT use them, And won’t use them.

So please think about that if you could!default smiley :)

Other than that, THANK YOU! For adding the equestrian center to mobile!!!!default smiley <:o)default smiley :-))default smiley (7)

I guess I'm old school and behind the times, but I only play Howrse on my PC at home....no mobile device, no app, so the EC changes make no difference to me.
I also don't have a Facebook acct., so anything the game may be doing there doesn't concern me.

I truly wish the game would spend more time addressing the ongoing issues (lag, frozen comps), instead of tossing out these "improvements" which, in my opinion are improving nothing much at all.

Putting things on Facebook makes sense in my opinion, it's advertisement, they're trying to grow the community. If you comment or like their post in hope you win, your friends will see the post and could try playing.

Discord doesn't make much sense to me... While it's more open, yes, it will have less people and less opinions. Is that what they want?

As for the centres, I'm glad. Finally, I don't have to open windows for chrome to access it. However, I do hope it will get some update because it's now very messy, hard to find some actions and often behind more steps than it could be (e.g. buying recources from store. No option to just buy "enough" and you have to sort through the sections too)
