Prepod is the beta test site for Howrse. If you are a VIP you have the chance to go on prepod (if you're quick enough) before it fills up when it opens.
On the test site, you're given basically unlimited equus and passes to experiment. However, what you do on the test account isn't transfered to your real account.
It opens when a new item is about to be introduced and closes when the testing ends.

For all those interested in the crop bonus if you own more than 1 Rain (previous conversation on page 837). On a 25 acre scarecrow meadow with manure my friend with 1 Rain had a projected yield of 1379 and did harvest 1375. With 2 Rains my projected yield was also 1379 but I harvested 1445. So I did get the extra yield for owning 2 Rains, it just didn't include the 2nd Rain when projecting at time of planting. I've asked Contact if this could be changed so the projected yield includes the bonus 5% for each Rain owned.

Wait, the cows are here? Can you own cows if you have an English EC? I've been waiting until the cows arrived before I chose the discipline of my EC...

At the moment, no. Only western ec's have them. But we will be getting some form of cow to use for leather to make certain things.

At present time - all we have are the Calves for Western ECs. They are used only for Cutting Competitions (as this is what sets the difficulty of the comp - how many calves)

When the other changes are launched - all ECs, regardless of type, will be able to have the Leather-producing Cows as they will be a crop of sorts.

No one knows for sure, but my guess is that the Great Challenge will probably start up again very soon

After a little hunting around the Internet - I've come across two images that might have just shed the most light possible on Draft Horses:

Like when the Balios Trophy updated to saying 6 (but only showing 5) before the 6th one (Volcanic) was released - both of these images were chalked up to being a hiccup in the system that caused them to show early.

If these images are true, then this means that Draft Horses are going to be an actual breed that we can care for and work just like the current set of horses (they will just be their own breed like Pony, Unicorn, etc.). Of course, beyond this - there is no way of knowing if they will be able to interbreed with the other species (excluding Donkeys) or if they will be like Donkeys and can only breed with other Drafts.


hope they´re also introducing other breeds / species than that one default smiley ^)

I miss those AP's since it looks like Howrse has cut down a lot on finding AP's while working horses. At least that's my experience over these last few days. My horses hardly find any default smiley :p

so since they are taking away the ability to put our horses in the box or meadow ( I don't use the meadows for anything but foal games ) does that mean the foal game have to change -- AGAIN ? That is the only thing that bugs me -- they just changed them a few mons ago

I'm not "freaking out" -- none of my foals need gaming atm --- thank goodness

Just so you know when you go to sell any horse that might be a very good one.

The foal games done will be the deal breaker if I buy or not buy. If you are selling middle range horses then it probably does not mean too much ( at least to me) but I don't want horses on my account that have not gotten all skill points it was capable of.

A new improvement is available for boxes: the drinking trough. It allows your boarders to obtain 4 times more energy and morale via the “drinking” action. This improvement does not count toward prestige.

just a question regarding this, will the fountain still give more than this ? if not, then i don´t get why the fountain shouldn´t be removeddefault smiley (8)

good question lotte123 --- maybe the fountain will go up by 2 % or so ? seems logical to do so
(and would keep the interest up for the Grand Prix )
