I will miss the meadows and boxes.


I use the meadows every day to feed my aging point farm horses. The meadows allow players to feed without using resources and also "find" items like carrots and apples.
I use the boxes to get an extra 3% energy and to find the tub of grease, hoof pick and comb.

In reality, horses are put in meadows/pasture to graze instead of being fed.

True, sometimes they are fed though, like where I live horses are fed 4 months out of the year.

But if you think about it, name 3 things on this game that are truly realistic. Can you? Probably not because there are not many thing are thing game like that.

I'm a little disappointed that Brook and Balios almost have the same appearance. Even though Brook carries his own uniqueness.

They are NOT the same look at the perspectif before you say something default smiley ;)
Brook has a other perspectif than Balius so there are NOT the same default smiley (8)

It was changed to Brook from Spring, as in water coming out of the ground, but they where afraid of concussion from the seasonal Spring.

A Brook or stream (according to where you live) usually comes from the source which is the spring.

Is Howrse really getting rid of the Meadows and Boxes? If so, why and what for? Isn't Howrse supposed to be a "Virtual" horse game? Doesn't virtual mean something like this: not physically existing as such but made by software to appear to do so? So, if we use stalls and meadows in real life, why not on Howrse? Does anyone know more about this? Sorry, I'm just having a rant.

You can imagine that such a huge change on an already existing feature isn’t a piece of cake.

So everything will not be going online at the same time. On one side, we do not want you to flee into the opposite direction. On the other side, we think that it can be useful our developers and game designers’ sleep sometimes.

Basically, everything that will be set online before the arrival of the production cycle is aimed at preparing this same arrival (for example: changes about agriculture, the horses food) and everything that will come out after the production cycle will be to refine and complete it. For example: rethinking the secret market or the draft horses introduction.

It is quite difficult to tell you precisely how much time it will take but we can already give you estimate: it will take more than six months and we are going to need several months before the production cycle’s arrival.

No they aren't getting rid of boxes and meadows, they're removing the ability to put horses in the boxes and meadows. IE putting a horse in the meadow for 30 minutes and getting some energy.

Do you know WHY they're doing this? So why can't we use them? This will just stuff up my foal games and BLUP schedule. default smiley :o I really like most of Howrse's updates, but I'm not looking forward to this one.

If they're getting rid of the ability to place our horses into meadows and stalls, I hope they at least increase the energy given from some of the other actions. Otherwise that'll be 1 hour less of riding or training I can do with horses each day default smiley :@

Why can't the game cancel this un-needed new change like they canceled the BMI cause if a lot players angry about it? I am upset I won't be able to turn my horses out into meadows anymoredefault smiley :@

I sigh at this. Meadows and stalls really being removed? I feel like howrse is a different game now, to be honest.

Having meadows just seems like a regular part of the game, makes it feel real. Like when I have a horse that I'm playing around with I can be like, "Well, girl, lets rub you down and set you out to pasture!"
