Big fan of the V2 coats and the current fri coat... however the new coats need a bit more work in my opinion. Some are quite revolting and a twinge painful to look at. The GV is horrid, it's baffling how they took such a gorgeous coat and turned in into a nightmare. O.o

Oh well its about breeding for gp and quality; although a nice image is a pluss. I suppose it's just a way to sell some passes so everone that despises the coat will cover it with a ga XD

Ha ha! I remember those days! On my old account, my first horse was a white Thoroughbred. Those were the days...default smiley (a)
Those coats give me good memories of when I was just a newbie on my first accout, who basically didn't know how to do anything default smiley :)

I hated the V2 coats so much default smiley (lol) You used to be able to choose between the V1 and V2 coats depending on how you chose to lay out your page, and even though I liked the layout for V2 better, I kept the horse centered because I couldn't stand the designs.

I don't mind horse doing a re-vamp I'm glad mostly because there are sooo many talented artists out there to create beautiful coats. Going through all the Possible new coats I'm left with a sort of mixed feeling.

default smiley (y)
Akhal-Teke
Arabian Horse
Barb, Canadian horse, Lusitano, Peruvian Paso, Purebred Spanish Horse - default smiley (l)
Curly
Knabstrupper
Fjord i barely changed but updated the coloring
Hanoverian, Holsteiner, Irish Hunter,KWPN, Russian Don Horse - muuch better!
Nokota- I like it much better then the current one

default smiley (n) Nooooooooo please no.
Appaloosa, Argentinean Criollo, Paint Horse, Quarter Horse - they look sickly / sad
Friesian - Just NO! Awful! it barely looks black! hardly no feathers ugh! default smiley :'(
Gypsy Vanner - yuck!
Mustang - that head is soo tiny and just doesn't look right at all.

default smiley :-x Meh / Undecided / No Opinion
Brumby, Icelandic horse - Don't know enough about how they should look
Hackney, Morgan, Standardbred, Tennessee Walker - Meh seems to generic. I'd like to see some sort of movement reflected in the coat.
Marwari
Shetlands
Thoroughbred - Fix the Face and maybe
Trakehner - Don't know enough about how they should look
Wow I hope very much that the gvs do not look like that. The new coat is just awful. I really like a lot of the other coats, its just the gv ones that bother me.

Hmm, have they ever see a Friesian in real life. default smiley (o)
The mare on our school looks a lot and a lot different. And she was 'model' for her breed.
I like the old picture more.

I agree. It looks like they threw something together really quick and hoped it turned out like a Friesian. Too bad it didn'tdefault smiley xd

I actually really like the new Aussie ponies!! I think I may have to buy a couple of them before they update default smiley (lol)
Remember, if you don't like the base graphic, you can always cover it up with a Golden Apple.

To all the equine artists out there, if you don't like what you're seeing among these spoilers, then break out your art supplies and show us what each breed is supposed to look like. default smiley :)

I haven't submitted a coat in years. The one that made it into the game back in 2010 is an interesting mess to say the least. I might try again just to see if I can draw more accurate representations of my favorite breeds. Dozens of equine artists from across the servers have already proven that they can, so I expect the competition to be very steep.

The Welsh..looks nothing like a Welsh. They're supposed to have deep necks and a proud stance..that Welsh looks dissapointed and sad..as am I.
TheSilverUnicorn: GA is a alternative, not something you MUST use to cover something you think is ugly. is more like collector item- a item you use when you want the horse to look unique. I doubt anyone want to use houndrets of GAs on their horses -especially AP farm horses- only because the design is messed up. We are sharing opinions.

Good luck with the creation space tough. I would love to see what you can com up with default smiley :)

Oh my.....another change upcoming to the breeds....the Friesian looks terrible...most of the breeds have the same if not similar hind quarters. Good way to get more people to use golden apples....as some of the body types you just don't want to look at, the gypsy vanner being at the top of the list. default smiley (b)
I nearly cried when I saw the new Vanner coats. I only started breeding Vanners because I thought they looked pretty. Now, urgh. I can see most of my Vanners will be getting a Golden Apple coat as soon as possible.default smiley (d)

It would be absurd to say you must cover up the base graphic just because you don't like it. Who thinks that way? default smiley :p

Of course, the option is always available. Is it practical for AP farm horses? Of course not! LOL! (Unless your AP farm also happens to be a GA or RC collection, of course.)

However, if you have a fantastic foal with such high GP and inborn skills that you really believe it could be worth your time to BLUP, but you're put off by the base graphic, then the GA is definitely an option worth considering.

Likewise, if you have a favorite mare, gelding, or stallion with a base graphic that you love now, but it changes to something you can't stand when the new version is released, then slapping a GA on it may be the best option. It may even save you from bitter disappointment.

New graphics are coming whether we like it or not. Some of them are fabulous, but others are disappointing. Some are intolerable. Once they are here, we will be stuck with them until the next time Owlient decides to change them, which could be a few years down the road. I find it comforting to know I have an option to cover up the ones I don't like, if I want to. I'm sure others do, too. default smiley ^)

They should do voting for them! I only choose to breed things because I like the coats. I guess that some of them are really beautiful, but I think some have gone a tad downhill.

I changed my mind and I like the new Arabian coats better, but the Mustang and a few of the others are just, kind of, odd looking. Like the Mustang has a bumpy face... I think.
the arab and fjord look okay but as for the rest - makes me very glad my horses all have GA's on or are waiting for next release for one
