I completely agree... I think they need to give the new one more of the 'pudgy' look like you said, and fill out the mane and tail. Maybe then they wont look so bad.... default smiley :s

I'm assuming once all the coats are updated. I think the reason for changing all the horses is so they fit the new tack properly.

I've got to go for a bit. I'm crossing my fingers that Howrse will leak some improved Mustangs, Friesians, Gypsy Vanners, and Shetlands while i'm gone!

I would agree with you on this, but I don't think Howrse would be capable of dealing with it. . .in the newer graphics, they clearly have short legs, a 'pudgy' body, and a small but thick mane. However, they tried too hard to make it realistic. If they could just make it cute and sweet, like our nice old graphics, it would actually result in the horse looking, overall, more realistic.

Well, almost each breed has a different coat. I hated that the breeds shared the same coats before. But, some of them look awkward. And some of them look awesome! On some of the foals and adults, you can tell they aren't done. Like on the Lusitano foal, it has mane or forelock, so I guess they aren't done with that one. default smiley (y)

Oh, and the mustangs need a mane, so I hope they aren't done with that one either. And the other ones that look kinda weird.

None of the Shetlands look anything like the ones I had 30+ years ago. Mine did not look like so called miniature horses, they were big enough to actually ride when my friends and I were 12-14. I do not like how the US has bred them down in size. I can't even imagine riding these all over the countryside like we did (or swimming them in the river). I think that is why I've stayed away from ponies on here, they've just never seemed real to me.

A little criticism:

Make the horses actually have manes
Make the horses less round
Let the gypsy vanners have more feather
Have the bodies look more furry
use a LITTLE brighter colors

they are the only breed like that
