How does it work ?

- The genetic potential departure will always be far from the best PG of the lowest race, so it is impossible to be advantaged by having the horse a new account instead of a good horse raised by a player.

- The genetic potential of unicorns base is calculated in the same manner as riding horses and ponies but taking as a reference the genetic potential of the lowest Unicorn race.

- It increases by 6 points per day maximum. As for now the starting PG is very far removed from the current PG, this will increase by 6 points per day for a while.

Also, from now on, directory races will display the profile of the race (the distribution of competences) based on the genetic level, which may be different than the profile of the race when it was introduced about the game. So, directory races now shows a profile for each breed that matches the actual evolution of the PG of each race.

The GP of the horse a new player receives when they arrive on the game and the GP of new breeds introduced on the game will now increase slowly to avoid that the gap between new players and the rest of the community becoming bigger and bigger.

How does it work ?

► The beginning GP will always be far from the best GP of the weakest breed of the game (unicorns included), so it is impossible to get an advantage to get a new account horse instead of a good horse that is raised by a player.

► It increases from 6 points a day maximum. As for the moment the beginning GP is really very far away from where the GP on the game is, it will probably increase for 6 points each day during some time.

► It will not change the GP of the horses that are already inside the game, it is only for the horses created by new players and for the new breeds

Also, from now, the breeds directory displays the profile of a breed based on the genetic threshold which can be a bit different than the profile the breed had at the moment we introduced it on the game. So the breed directory now shows a profile of each breed that corresponds to the real GP evolution of the breeds.

All calculations I've seen come up just with how many passes one needs to spend to complete the event. None of them give a point where you'd be stuck if you don't use passes.

Though that can be hard to figure out as there are a TON of factors:

What candy you got for free
What candy the kids want
How many kids you have visiting you per day

All I can safely is that without using Passes, you will not be able to get Bucephalus' Ear Bonnet. In a calculation I quickly ran though - I came up with 20,000-something points without using passes (assuming the number of kids you got increased each day, and you always got 100% satisfaction for max. points).

So in my case - you'd have enough to get the SoA - but nothing else beyond that. Again though - my calculation was very rough...you might get further, you might not get as a far.

I'm happy to answer your questions about this change to the Genetic Threshold.

We are making this change because some versions of the games are very old and the GP
is increased by the players more and more. The GP achieved by some of the senior players is far and away from that of the new players. It can be quite discouraging for new players. So we decided to create a system that will allow the base GP to raise on a daily basis .

The top horse of the weakest breeds top GP needs to be up to 700 of GP for normal horses
and 438 for the same unicorn breed to make the base GP raise.

It's hard to say for sure just what (if any) effect this will have on the NIB breeders. While I am SO not a competitive breeder - I can see some potential effects that can be both good and bad.

Good ones being

More foundation horses with a higher GP - adding in new 'blood' to NIB projects, while nothaving as large of an impact on the GP that would otherwise happen of breeding a 350 foundation horse to a 1000 GP NIB horse *okay, so I really have no idea the current high NIB GP - just an example*

New players who want to be NIB breeders get a bit of a boost

Bad reasons being

The GP increase is nowhere near enough to help a new player keep pace with the GP race

The auto-increasing GP is sort of a kick to those of us who had to do the Foal Games just right with our foundies back in the day to get an additional 1.2 (they're getting +6 for nothing!)

It can sort of undermine the effort that NIB breeders have done.

It's possible this change might not see the light of day OR it might be put on hold as they better examine it and re-evaluate it OR it will go live as is. All we can really do is wait and see what will become of this (as they do read over preprod feedback, and player outcry in the past has blocked (or massively changed) intended features (Zaldia's perk change being an example of that)

Points in the Horn of Plenty WILL be returning again for the end of the event.

This way, you have a bit of a 'safety net' if you really want to try for Zaldia (as the more I crunch the numbers - I feel its not possible to get Zaldia from your current position with what you have to work with)
