Personally, I loved the wandering horses, even though they really required passes and such. In future, I'd love to see more promos that are less reliant on passes >.<

Maybe they could change it so you can't do comps. with the wandering horses? I think that'd solve the problems there, though I totally get what you guys mean about them.

That would be the only way they would not be so destructive and the only circumstance I would ever support them.default smiley :)

Nor am I - but I own a lot of Divines that I use for making Equus to improve my center (the main aspect of my game) and comps. are how I make most of my money.

Ah well, we all have different taste of what we like and don't like (personally, I'm someone who likes the Magic Ride - while I know a lot of players don't like it).

That's a good solution - but then, we'd have a ton of players asking why their wandering horse can't do anything except be used as an AP Farming horse/dropping producer (as the only options then would be groom, play, feed, bed and hope when they next wake - you get an aging point, and get some droppings to use/sell)

My thoughts would be to limit them to just ONE competition a day (not just one normal comp and unlimited Divine comps. I men one comp. overall) so that way, they can still be used to make some equus - while not hurting comps. all that much [Also, they need to not be able to be aged - I think they were allowed to age like a Wild in one of thelast events (could be wrong though)]

Or they could offer temporary competitions for just the Wandering Horses. Allow them to enter 1 normal, 1 divine, and unlimited wandering horse competitions per day

Even that would be hurtful. It isn't just one divine but one or two of these divines are very easy to get. Take a potential 10,000 players in any one day all trying to enter 1 open ( even 1 open and 1 divine) and since they are lower level divines and the percentage of this level comp being available in any one day in either open or divine is fractionally small.

The simple problem is supply and demand. Just not enough ECs set for this level in supply ( and no one wants to have a low level divine comp as it drops your EC prestige down to the 28-33% level) and too much demand. So consider an huge influx of WH low level horses all wanting low level ECs on top of the permanent low level divines already on the server that have been released over the last two years that have already put a strain on finding comps to put them in ( either open or divine ) and you can start to see the problem.

Now International will get through this under strain, the smaller servers like the Canadian, Australian and others this could prove a totally unworkable devastating problem.

Howrse needs to look at the structure of ECs that want to hold divine comps. Allow them the same structure as any other regular comp. Allow the prestige to go up. Allow rosette comps Allow and extra divine comp per EC thar does not affect the EC prestige. Suggest to players that don't want to do anything with their EC comps to hold divine comps. Rookie comps set for divine only gives the EC owner 1,000 every time they run and are virtually maintenance free as everyone is looking for them( and that can give that new player 5,000 e per day with little or no work)

The above is just the tip of the problem and the reason why I am for Howrse looking at the whole EC comp structure.default smiley :)

"I still can't figure out why everyone likes that promo so much. To me - it's more trouble than anything (especially once the Wandering Horses are on People's accounts - the competitions get so messed up (both Regular and Divine only) and its one of those I'd be content to not see it returned unless some massive changes are made to how the Wandering Horses themselves work."

The reason a vast majority seem to like it so much is because they were more accessible to everyone. Even starting players could have an easy, pass-free chance at a 'Divine' - even if just it just had a few skills - and for some they just had to groom regularly. (I'm working off the ones with Greek Gods such as Aphrodite and such, as I can't really remember the others). Plus it was easy to calculate how much you had to spend pass wise as you got a set amount of points for opening a HoP.

But yes, I see the problem about the ECs and hope that a resolution can be found as it's a promo that's loved by many.

*tries to recall which event that was* Was that the 'Set Horses Free' event? Think it was either Venus or Earth that was offered in that (for some reason, I do recall it was one of the Female Divines)

Part of me would like to see that promo come back as it might help 'remove' some horses from the game and even the playing field depending on what is asked to be 'set free'.

Another part of me is glad it has not returned due to how much drama it caused. Be it harassment towards a player who bought another player's horse and released it, players whining about how cruel it is to release horses, those complaining about what they are being asked to release, etc.

That - and this day in age given how common some of the original horses asked to be released are (ex. a Divine, a horse with X amount of skills,) - I don't think it would have the desired effect that the original seemed to go for (that being - remove various horses from the game to free up space [as if we get right down to it - the Set Horses Free event was basically a 'clean up' event (as like when selling a horse to the Safe Haven - releasing a horse deleted all but the most basic data about it)]

Anyhow - getting this topic back on track...

I can not recall who it was who asked me for confirmation about something with ECs and B_'s perk but

Click to display
I put in the query on Preprod that I had no option of Reserved Boxes with Bucephalus' Perk...

While I have not heard anything more back yet - the topic I made was marked as {Reported} and contained this reply:

Hello,

Thank you for your information.

I was able to reproduce this where both the Equestrian Centers and Reserved Boxes tabs do not show with multiple boarding.

Marking as Reported.

Cheers,
MeOw

So it seems that using Bucephalus for the purpose of Mass Boarding in one's own (or a Reserved) Center might actually be something that is supposed to be avaible, but isn't for one reason or another.

Apologies I have nothing further to add - but Preprod is still up *though nothing new is being tested* so I might hear something sooner rather than later.

Depends on what you classify as news.

if you are looking for info on the next promo and the like - see the above link.

If you know about that and are looking for new stuff - well, I've not found anything yet to even begin to hint what might come in the future.

I asked them about a pass free or 1-5 pass promo in contact us and they said they couldn't grantee.
personally I feel that all comps need to revamped.. Divines have taken over the regular comps and skillers have taken over all the rosette comps . there really needs to be a seperation of "levels for the skillers and skilled horses better then there is now. or a cap on number of rosettes as much as I hate to say it. When you are looking at 20 rosette comps and the same horses are entered in all the comps it gives no acess to other horses who are just as good to win any. No to mention a horses that is the top of its game to day in just a few hours is no longer good enough.

Agreed. It's worse when you feel they're hogging them because that horse may have already won that Rosette. It would be nice if when a horse wins a comp's Rosette, that comp no longer pops up for it. It makes sense since you can only win a comp's Rosette once I think.

Hello,

After looking into this issue and checking with the team, there is not a bug. The Reserved Boxes tab does not show when using the VIP perk for multiple boarding because it is not available with this perk.

Marking as Not a Bug

Cheers,
MeOw

So it seems that Mass Boarding is only for non-reserved boxes.
