We probably won't have any new breeds for a while, Haflingers, Percherons, and Shires are all very new, three new breeds almost all at once doesn't happen often.

cls - Nobody knows for sure when it will happen, but most promos start on a Monday, and the 20th is the first Monday after the Summer Ride ends.

Ohhh I sure hope it doesn't start the 20th! I'm gone all week that week with no Internet, and I might actually have a chance at this upcoming promo. Oh well, whatever happens happens.

For those asking about Draft Horses and regular breeds;

There is nothing known of other Breeds at this time - at the time it was revealed that they would be added to the game - it was stated we would get Two breeds. Shires and Percherons are both Drafts - thus, we have our promised two breeds.

It's possible in the future they might add more Draft horses - depending on how the current ones work out...likewise, Howrse might feel that Drafts are not working out and never release anymore. All we can do is wait and see.

As for new breeds of regular horses - again, all we can do is wait and see...Though we'll probably get a break from them for awhile (ex. the last new breed was the Haflinger was just released in June - before then, it was the Lippizan back in December/January). It seems to be that new regular breeds only come out every 3 to 6 months - but of course, that's just based on observation of the past.

The next promotion will probably be the Water Balloon Fight (a UFO throwing event). Given that events like this usually run between 5 to 7 days - and tend to start on Mondays or Tuesdays...

I'd say that we could expect to see the Water Balloon Fight as early as 20th or 21st (as this is also around when testing is coming to an end - and most promotions tend to start either shortly before or just after testing ends).

After this, I'd say we'd probably start the new Great Challenge, though there is a chance that the two would run side by side...I feel the Challenge will happen a bit later on (as there still seems to be a lot of bugs that are being worked out).

speaking of challenges..how many are in this current ride promo?

and glitches..default smiley (li) it has been 6 days since contact us..last communicated with me about the glitch in this ride..and the same glitch manifests itself in any maze type promo.

howrse acknowledges there is a glitch. there are other players who also experience this glitch.

the glitch..the promo frequently "eats" a roll. so when i should be getting 3 rolls..i get two rolls..or if i'm supposed to get two rolls from dice pack..i get only one roll.

the latest silly request from contact us..is that i take a screen shot of when i purchase a dice pack..and then i take a screen shot of when it glitches..sigh

screen shots are not going to do anything. howrse can look at the rolls i have taken and very, very simply determine that a roll went missing.

sigh.

anyhow..again how many challenges in this promo?

Are there going to be tack items for Legendary Horses only able to be gotten through GF's and the lottery? Or are there going to be items in the HOP's? If the only way to get them is in the GF and Lottery, then I don't know if I am going to like it.

Legendary tack for Altair will be in the Golden Fleece and the lottery,eventually, there will be an Altair Pack. However, nobody knows the cost of the Altair Pack, or win it comes out.

The list of objectives and the rewards you get from them:

1. Groom a Horse = Able to roll the die 3 times every 12 hours

2. Donate X amount of Equus to Ow = Able to teleport to the highlighted space

3. Give an apple to a horse that is 10 years old = 3 bonus rolls *horse must be exactly 10*

4. Enter X amount of competitions = Able to teleport to the highlighted space

5. Take a horse on a 5 hour ride = Move to a space of your choice within a radius of 4 spaces *Means take a horse on a 5-hour consecutive ride of any kind*

6. Find an Aging Point UFO = Able to teleport to the highlighted space

The Great Challenge is what will bring us the Mongolian Horse - however, keep in mind that the Mongolian horse is a breed of Legendary Horse, and not a regular breed *basically, they're like a Divine/Wild horse*:

The page in the Directory on Preprod matches up perfectly to the first Legendary - Altair, whose breed is listed as Mongolian Horse:



*Note that a legendary horse's skills are based on that of the horse you transform - thus the skill set shown here seems to be an average of all the Mongolian horses on the game (as it seems most on preprod decided to turn some of their higher skilled horses into Altair)

In regards to this;

Legendary Tack will be gotten in the Golden Fleece, by completing the puzzle during the Great Challenge when we are collecting Horseshoes, and in the Lottery itself (The grand prize for the lottery is all 5 pieces of tack). There will also be the Altair pack which you can purchase - though the price of it is unknown at this time.

It was also stated on preprod that - while each Divine will have its own set of Legendary tack (so you can't put Altair's Saddle on with someone else's bridle)...any tack that you collect will not be removed from your inventory, and that it will remain there - leaving the possibility open that there would be other ways to get the tack in the future.

For those who had asked about the Temperament section of the Legendary Horse's page...I put forth the quesiton on Preprod - asking if that element was just 'flavor text' or if it's actually something new that will play a part in caring for them (sort of like how you need to Tame a wild before it will do comps. and the like).

This question was met with a reply directly from Ow which I will now post here:

Yes it's basically flavouring that comes from the stories default smiley ;) They are all individual characters and we wanted to present them with a little cue on their personalities inside the stories.

So there you have it folks, it's flavor text like the Country label on a Wild's page
