From the howrse blog:
"The saddle cloth will become compulsory in order to enter competitions, in addition to the saddle and the bridle. Yet the bonnet and the leg wraps will be optional that way you don’t have to buy too many items of tacks for every single horse."

Hang on tight, folks. I think we are going girthless (:

I actually knew someone once who put. Just the saddle pad on the horse and got on. Keep in mind that it was a thicker heavier western one. She tried to canter, and she went right to the ground! default smiley (lol)

What you said about girthless reminded me of that default smiley (lol).

The one that seems nice is the KWPN coat
I love it that the new connemaras look slightly peeved. Completely suits the mare I used to ride.

I think the worst is the Quarter Horse. I personally think that the nokota looks more like a QH! Minus the spots, of course. This is realy depressing. I think that they should postpone the change, and take a look at some of the criticism and fix it.
Generally speaking, looking back to the earlier stage of Howrse's graphic, it is evoloving, only slightly. We are starting to see more breed characteristics in them, compare with the first version.

In my opinon, the Thoroughbred and the Knabstrupper are decent enough, but the Friesian and the Standardbred are a let-down.

Where do you find the new howrse coat pics?

On a lighter note, (since there is so much negativity in here right now!)

From what I remember from the first parade promo, there were saddles, bridles, saddle pads, bonnets, polos, and braids for the horses. (And western of all of the same). Do you think there will be girths? I can't imagine them making this change to the game and forgetting girths. But will it come with the saddle? Maybe saddle pad? Or be separate? That would be a pretty big "oops" if the fully tacked up horse had no girth! (:

Lol I had to go back and check because I couldn't actually remember if they had girths default smiley xd

But I found a screen-cap I took ^_^

I breed Spanish horses here, so I'm stuck seeing the Spanish horse coats every day. And wow... I love the current coats (while not wholly representative of the breed, they don't make me cringe like the suggested ones do). The neck just doesn't seem in proportion with the head... And the new Tekes (which I also breed, but on US server) have some awfully strange front legs. -shivers- Just my opinion.

Is that....a demon horse? Its eyes are red, and its teeth are bared. It kind of reminds me of a zombie x piece of seaweed.

Does anyone have all the coat colours for the Quarter Pony?

If Howrse ends up using that coat I know what I will be breeding to no end.

Kelpie! That is awesome default smiley :)
"The kelpie is a supernatural water horse from Celtic folklore that is believed to haunt the rivers and lochs of Scotland and Ireland; the name may be from Scottish Gaelic cailpeach or colpach "heifer, colt". The water horse is a common form of the kelpie, said to lure humans into the water to drown them. "

So a sort of evil horse rather fitting.
Here's the URL for the coat Jedainokishi -

http://gaia.preprod.equideow.com/media/equideo/image/chevauxv4/adulte/poney-leger/normal/300/pie-tb-plm.png?8/img

Just change the colour code to the one you want to see. The colour code is the last part fo the URL before the .png... In this case pie-tb-plm which is palomino tobiano. nr = black, bai = bay, alz = chestnut, etc. You can look at the url of other horse coats to get more colour codes default smiley ^)default smiley (y)

@Unicorn99: Ooh interesting... Is it perhaps another horror themed divine just like the Osiris from last Halloween? default smiley *-) What does it's '?' info say I wonder.
