I want Howrse to have names for the X breeds for e.g. A TBx Arabian would display as a TB x Arabian on their breeds but still have the skills as their sire

I saw this too but when you open the link it says an error has occurred. Anyone knows what's going on?

I don't think anyone knows exactly, but knowing Howrse I'd say between 5 to 30 mins starting from the announcment, just give it some time ^^

I just noticed that they deleted the announcement from the homepage. Plus I was thinking, promotions usually start around 2pm France time (in 3 hours from now) so maybe that's when they will release the promo? Just making assumptions tho

They're rumored to start today, and a hour ago (as the Golden Fleece disappeared) an announcement popped up on the home page:

Can someone point me in the right direction or explain the pinata promo to me, as I really want to do the one coming up. I know you need to get so many points, I need to get Shiny Yellow. Can you complete it at the end by spending passes or do you have to actually complete all the challenges? How many points all up do I need to get in order to obtain the divine?

Sorry don't know if I had to do a spoiler thingy, didn't know how to. But it is the spoiler zone, so you probably shouldn't be in this thread if you don't want to know spoilers... default smiley ;)

There are 21 piñatas and the divine rainbow will be in the last one. You get to click every few hours to get closer to breaking the pinata and getting the prizes. There are goals to complete to help get more clicks for points or allow you to click more frequently (less hours between clicks) as you progress through the piñatas they require more points to open. And offer better prizes as a result. It requires Hops to get more points to comete.

There was a post not too long ago explaining all the pinatas objectives and points and how to open all the pinatas spending not so many passes, if you give me some time I can try to check the previous pages and find the posts.
But to answer your question, Yes, I think it is possible to open all the pinatas just using passes (or HoPs) and not doing the objectives, but keep in mind that they'll probably release the points in the HoPs offer during weekends, and not during the whole promo. Plus, doing obectives helps you getting more points and clicks, so I'd suggest you to do the most you can.

Got quite a few hops stored up so yay.

I thought shiny yellow was the prize for the pinatas. I thought you had to get all the other colour divines in order to get the rainbow divine?

Thank you! I plan on doing some, just know I won't be able to do them all. I am a pass player, so if I can get it easier by paying, I will default smiley (8) really wanna try and obtain all the divines in this lot default smiley (l)

It is.. I think she was meaning the rainbow divine, Shining Yellow [not the final one you get for having all divines] seeing as there is also usually another divine prize slightly earlier in them.

I meant the divine of the rainbow (as they are all rainbow divines) this one is apparently yellow and yes you need all to get the rainbow rainbow divine.

Pinata 2: 6 points
1. Stroke a Horse = able to be helped by 4 friends per day
2. Put a Pony to bed = 1 bonus click
Prizes: 10% energy for your horses, 2** Western Saddle Cloth

Pinata 3: 10 points
1. Congratulate a Player = 5 points for your pinata
2. Check out Ow's page = Able to click on the Pinata 1 time every 12 hours
Prizes: 2** Ear Bonnet, 1x Whip

Pinata 4: 15 points
1. Sell exactly 3 mashes = next 5 friend clicks earn 2 points each
2. Make a donation to Ow = 5 bonus clicks
Prizes: 10x Mash, 1x Water of Youth

Pinata 5: 20 points
1. Participate in a competition = next 7 clicks earn 2 points each (excludes friend clicks)

Pinata 6: 25 points
1. Specilize a horse = Number of points needed divided by 2

1. Find a Treat while feeding a horse = Clicks earn two points (excludes friend clicks)
2. Train a horse for at least 3 consecutive hours = 10 points for your pinata

Pinata 8: 40 points
1. Donate to Ow = Next 4 clicks earn 3 points each (excludes friend clicks)
2. Make the last click on a Friend's pinata = able to click on the pinata 2 times every 6 hours
Prizes: 1x 1* Classical Saddle, 10x Aging points, 1x Water Trough

Pinata 9: 50 Points
1. Finish last in a competition = 6 bonus clicks
2. Earn 120e from a horse with Plouto's Parchment = able to be helped by 8 friends a day
Prizes: 1x 2** Polo wraps, 1x Bell Boots, 1x Plouto's Parchment

Pinata 10: 60 Points
1. Earn 1 equus in a competition = 15 points for your pinata
2. Use an Aging point on a 15 year old horse = 5 bonus clicks
Prizes: 300x Fodder, 500 points for the General Ranking, 1x Hypnos' Blanket


Pinata 11: 80 points
1. Finish 3rd in 3 competitions = Friend clicks earn 2 points each
2. Be congratulated 12* times = Open Pinata on next click
Prizes: 1x 2** Polo Wraps, 1x 2** Bonnet, 1x 2** Western Saddle Cloth

Pinata 12: 100 Points
1. Participate in 1 Competition requiring 12% energy = next click earns 20 points (excludes friend clicks)
2. Make a donation to Ow = able to click on the pinata 2 times every 3 hours
Prizes: 4000e, 1x Medusa's Blood, 1x Achille's Heel

Pinata 13: 150 Points
1. Stroke a horse with a flaxen liver chestnut coat = able to be helped by 10 friends a day
2. Open a horn of plenty = number of points already received for the Pinata multiplied by 2
Prizes: 20x Carrot, 1x Piece of Cloud, 1x Zues' Lightning Bolt

Pinata 14: 200 points
1. Have won at least 1,000e in competitions with one horse = clicks earn 3 points each (excludes friend clicks)
2. Enter 60* competitions requiring 20% energy = number of points needed divided by 2
Prizes: 100% Morale for your horses, 1x Croesus Fortune, 1x Golden Apple

From this point on - all Pinatas now have 3 objectives for you to do...

Pinata 15: 250 points
1. Congratulate a player on their birthday = next 10 clicks earn 5 points each (escludes friend clicks)
2. Fully equip a horse that wasn't already equipped = Friend clicks earn 4 points each
3. Fully train 1 skill = 100 points for your Pinata
Prizes: 10x Aging points, 1x Tractor, 1x Cronos' Timer

Pinata 16: 300 points
1. Buy a horse for 3000 Equus = Number of points received is now 120
2. Donate to Ow = next 10 Friend clicks earn 5 points each
3. Agree to an Item Exchange = able to click the Pinata 3 times every 3 hours
Prizes: 100x Droppings, 1x Shower, 1x Poseidon's Pack

Pinata 17: 400 points
1. Give a carrot to a horse born from Ouranos and Gaia = 10 bonus clicks
2. Stroke a horse that is more than 40 years old (non special, non divine) = clicks earn 5 points each (excludes friend clicks)
3. Reach 100 BLUP with one horse = 120 points for your Pinata
Prizes: 6,000e, 1x Lunge, 1x 5th Element

Pinata 18: 600 points
1. Give a mash to a horse that has between 234 and 328 dressage skill points = 10 bonus clicks
2. Find a hoof pick when completing a mission with a horse that is between 7 and 8 years old = able to be helped by 12 friends per day
3. Groom a Donkey = Number of points already received for the Pinata multiplied by 2
Prizes: 20x Mash, 1000 points for the General Ranking, 1x Nyx Pack

Pinata 19: 1,000 points
1. Win 25* Competitions = able to click on Pinata 3 times every 2 hours
2. Donate to Ow = Next 10 clicks earn 10 points each (excludes friend clicks)
3. Purchase a horse for at least 1 pass = open the pinata directly on the next click
Prizes: 15x Aging Points, 1x Hera's Pack, 1x Greyfell

Pinata 20: 1,500 points
1. Win 2* competitions with a horse born from Gaia and Ouranos = 10 bonus clicks
2. Put a horse in a Helios' Ray that is Green*= Friend clicks earn 10 points each
3. Have a breeder's reserve that ends in 11,111* = 1,000 points for your Pinata
Prizes: 10,000e, 1x Philosopher's Stone, 1x Themis Scale

Pinata 21: 2,000 points
1. Remove a Unicorn's Horn = Clicks earn 10 points each (except for clicks from Friends)
2. Give birth to Twins = 15 bonus clicks
3. Win 1 Rosette = Number of Points needed divided by 2
Prizes: Shiny Yellow

*Objective numbers marked with a * are subject to changed based on different factors (number of horses, equus amount, etc)



And here's the strategy on how to use HoPs/passes! From page 1066 (say thanx to phönix for this!)

you get a different amount of points on each piñata so it depends on when you buy the HOPs. It's always stupid to buy them when you're on your last piñata as one HOP only really gets one-two group (a group is the amount of clicks you get each time you can click as it's almost always more than 1 click/time in the end) of clicks out of the way while a HOP on... the 15th piñata where you might get.. 6 points every 3 hours (just an example) and the HOP will give you 24 points, you "save" 9 hours worth of clicking. If you understand what I'm trying to say :P (this is all an example).

And since this one will probably only have HOPs during a limited amount of time (some of the piñata promos have had them during the entire promo) it's more difficult to plan when to use the HOPs.. default smiley :p Also it seems like we'll get double points in the end.. which makes it even more difficult.

this is also why it's not stupid to open HOPs during the early piñatas even if you only get 1 point, as you probably only get 1 point per click and you click once every 12 hours meaning you save 12 hours with each point you get in a HOP. It might actually be wise to open HOPs that early!

To get through as few HOPs as possible is to take statistics from previous piñata promos (to see what amount of points you will probably get on each piñata in a HOP) and calculate at what point the HOPs you open will save you the greatest amount of points. A good indicator that it is a good piñata to use it on is usually 1. A piñata that has an objective that doubles/triples the points you already have when you finish the objective or 2. a piñata that takes a long period of time.

In the case of #1, this is because the points you get in a piñata is depending on the amount of points needed in total for the piñata. Say you have a piñata that require 1000 points. The last objective is something like "Do X. Reward; The amount of points already earned trippled" meaning you won't validate that objective until you have 334 points. In this case, you might get 35 points in every HOP, but that means that the HOPs are actually worth over 100 points! This is also since these objectives in particular tends to take quite a time to reach 334 points or whatever since you already got a great advantage on the piñata (the points you have tripples) so it's usually a good idea to use HOPs in that situation.

in the case of #2, it's good since the piñatas usually take a long time due to few points in the HOPs OR a long time between the clicks. It's usually a good idea to use HOPs here as it usually shortens the time significantly with each HOP you use!

I've finished the piñatas on less than 10 HOPs but then it was only 20 piñatas (not 21 like this time).. on another server obviously as I don't have any divines here lol

Obviously it's muuuch cheaper if you do all the clicks (which I've always done, be prepared to lose some sleep default smiley ;)) ...
