Funny Experiences?

I thought I would start a topic where we can share any funny experiences we've encounted while riding or with horses! They're such magnificent yet goofy beings its never a dull day with themdefault smiley ^)

I'll start! So yesterday I had a chance to ride our riding school's newest adoption - a reformed French Trotter (OTFT)! His canter/gallop was the weirdest gait I've ever felt - poor boy is still figuringing his legs out. But he is the sweetest boy ever and would attempt to nibble your coat if he smells treats haha!!

I had a halflinger almost buck me off for no reason... and she was 15 yrs old, so old horses still have lots of energy. She began running away from us when we came to ride her, because she wanted to be lazy! (She was a leased horse) and so we broke the lease cause i didnt want to get hurt, and we spent 30 minutes each day just trying to catch her!

At one of my horse riding lessons I was riding Aries, an OTTB gelding, just walking, relaxing after cantering. Well there was a tractor not to far, and I guess he decided the tractor was a giant scary monster, because he runs, and then just stops. It was funny though because I landed on such a fluffy spot of sand it was actually comfy lol

Back when I was a young teen, just learning to ride, and starting to canter, my instructor took me to a field. We trotted for a while, and he said, that before we canter I should tighten my girth.
We stopped and I pulled my leg up, so I could lift the flap on the english saddle.
As I pulled the girth tighter, the horse I was on, lowered his head carefully, and very calmly coughed, and stepped ever so slightly to the side.
Next thing, I was sprawled on the ground, right by his feet, and all three of us, horse included were very confused.
To this day I don't know how I managed to fall off, but it was really funny.

I still got to canter after getting back on!

I was riding the cutest horse ever on Saturday. He was a little bay guy, and when I was bringing him in from the pasture, he dropped his head to take a nibble of grass, and I fell right into their water bucket. Not to mention the weather was already cold, Hero (that was the horse) had just made it ten times colder.
