[Known Issue][May 2025] Ongoing Performance Issues

Thank you to everyone who has reported issues within the game after the maintenance yesterday.

We would like to assure you that we're working to resolve these issues as soon as possible and ask for your continued patience while we continue investigating and applying fixes to the game.

I've listed a few of the most common issues below:
- Game lag,
- Game slowness,
- Delay in receiving password reset emails,
- Delay in receiving verification emails,
- Horse competitions becoming stuck "In progress"

Please know that the above list is not exclusive and is only the most frequent issues being encountered by our players.

Here is a new update on the current situation after the migration:

↪ Emails issue: Good news, the game is finally able to send out emails to almost everyone!
We are still having issues with Yahoo email addresses. The team is on it, but the rest is fine. You should now be able to confirm your email address or reset your password, for example. Please remember to check your spam folders if you haven't received an email in your inbox.

↪ Missing payment methods: The team is still working on getting Xsolla back as soon as possible. However, right now, we cannot guarantee that it will happen before the end of May Packs, unfortunately. Paysafe should arrive even later. We know how inconvenient it can be for some of you, and we are really sorry about that! Rest assured that the team is doing its best.

↪ Global compensation: We're still on it! The detailed amount and content will be finalized by the end of the week. Hopefully, we will be able to send it out next week.

↪ Test servers: The team is still working on it, hopefully they can reopen next week.

The team is also working on other issues, which are less visible to you, affecting our internal tools.

Step by step, things are getting back to normal.

↪ Test servers: Still work in progress and our #1 priority this week since we need to test features for the next update. We hope to be back up and running by the end of the week, but nothing is set in stone.

↪ Missing payment methods: We are still working on getting Xsolla back up. We know how inconvenient it can be for some of you, especially since May Packs are ending tomorrow. We are really sorry about that! Sadly, we can't guarantee it will be back up before the end of the week.

↪ Global compensation: We are still working on the final details. It will include a variety of items and resources to thank you for your patience during the bumpy migrations.

↪ Performance issues: We noticed an increasing number of reports signaling frequent blank pages, maintenance pages, and other display issues. It seems to affect multiple versions. We are investigating a bit deeper and will provide you with an update next time.

Here is an update on the current situation after the migration.

↪ Performance issues: We are aware that there are still some performance issues, affecting the French servers in particular and also the other versions. This is being investigated as a priority. However, the team still has some difficulties finding the origin of the issues. The metrics we have on our side don't reveal any performance issues, unfortunately.

To help the investigation, we could use more information regarding the issues you encounter:
• On what version?
• If there are specific times you are having issues?
• On what specific pages of the game?
• Screenshots could help as well.

Please share this information with us.

↪ Test servers: The test servers are back up and running (but only for FR, DE, and INT at the moment).

↪ Email issue: Emails should be working for everyone now (but might still land in your Spam folder). Please send a ticket to Support if you still aren't receiving emails.

↪ Missing payment methods: Xsolla is back now and should give you plenty of additional payment options. There is no update regarding Paysafe at the moment, as it isn't our priority.

↪ Global compensation: We're still on it, the detailed amount and content have been finalized. The developers will code the script when there is enough bandwidth - hopefully this week, but there is no guarantee.

There are also other issues the team is working on in the background, but things are progressively getting back to normal.

just noticed that the if you go to the page of the player that is in the ranks as #1 they are listed on their page as #2. that's kind of odd that the rank page doesn't match the ranks on the pages. I just looked at a comparison for myself. according to the ranking list I'm 1099 but according to my page I'm 1100.

Just the main post above by EchOw, which was posted yesterday (Wednesday).

The issues are being worked on, and with the French server having their migration this morning, hopefully things will get fixed and back to normal soon.

I assume you are working to get the HOP after completing the meter. So while you may be getting extra passes the thing is even if you complete the objective the meter doesn't advance forward when that objective gets replaced.

So you must do the replacing objective in order to advance the meter to get your HOP.

Could the server migration explain why objectives are changing by themselves and for horses to be in a different order to what they were before?

Is the French server migration the two servers on there merging??

Haven't been able to breed or anything for the past few days now, and it takes an hour for me to take care of my daily divines default smiley (d)

I've filled the objectives gauge and have the hop but it just keeps giving me objectives and letting me know that I have fulfilled them. I am getting the passes for them as well. I must be almost a week ahead by now. Very strange.

Actually, when I look at my chart of how many passes I am receiving each day, even though the game is telling me that it is giving me more passes for bolding all these extra objectives, I am only getting the usual number of passes each day for objectives.

One of my daily objectives is showing 0% progress when I KNOW I've made 100%(finish last in 4 competitions). Since its a daily pass objective, this is...mildly...irritating to say the least.

I spend money on this game as many others do as well!
Shut the game down and get the game sorted properly so that we can all enjoy playing the game again! As it is at the moment, it's rubbish!

I soooooo agree with this statement!! We have purchased May Packs and the time limit will run out before this is fixed!!! So slow that to do a skiller will take hours!

for objectives like this it only counts once you open the game. I've got a get congrated a bunch of times and before I got on the game this morning I was congrated at least 5 times since the update. none of them counted. only ones (I'm done with the obj so not looking for more and advertising) since I got on the game this morning have counted

This is so frustrating!! It is taking forever to do my normal routine. There is so much lag, pages reloading all the time. I was hoping to get a pack this weekend but why when I can't fully enjoy and utilize the contebts!

I agree! Extremely frustrated and just keep hoping they can fix it, like today!!!! Weekend is going to be here and likely no one to do that! I'd also think there will be some sort of compensation!!!!!!

same I was going to go do my skiller for Gallop but at this rate it will take 6 hours default smiley xd

Just wanted to post a auick update regarding the game's overall performance this week since the maintenance. Please know that the absolute priority was to migrate all versions and fix the urgent issues on the go.

Now that the migration is over, the team can concentrate on all other issues, affecting payments, performance, rankings, etc.

The performance issues are high on the priority list and hopefully we'll be able to improve the situation soon (before the weekend doesn't sound realistic though, unfortunately).
We are aware of the issues, we know that the situation right now is far from ideal and we are really sorry about that. Hopefully the issues will be resolved quickly."

Yesterday (Thursday May 21st) I seem to have done 3 objectives, my meter has 7 fills where it should be 6 default smiley ;)
I had 3 notifications about completed objectives.
I did not get passes 3 times so no unfair advantage was done, just wanted to tell you. People might get confused if this happens.

Wow! after reading so many of the complaints here and elsewhere, I am so grateful my main issues are (no jinx) just lag when clicking care buttons, specifically FEED and GROOM, and some lag with Uni coverings. I am glad I waited on May packs, with the goal of having broodmares and unis ready to rock before purchasing. I'm still slowly aging up my foals and mares before I drop coin.
That said, I have seen it worse: the time the game was in fact shut down due to emergency server backup/transfer that kept people from losing their accounts, that was nerve racking. the time the lag was so bad no horse page would even load properly, that was worse.
To those in the depths of the struggle and agony, my condolences. Maybe Howrse will extend benefit time on the packs.
It's been a week, but it's only been one week.

Kinda crazy that the desktop version has been down for almost 4 days. I've been completely unable to log in anywhere except the app. It's not easy trying to keep track of breeding/gameplay on the app version and I really hope this will be resolved soon.

I just want to add another problem I just had. I purchased 200 wood yesterday to use for Embers and just went to give him some today and I didn't have any and had to buy more. And yes went through my history and it shows that I did purchase it yesterday and todaydefault smiley 8-)
And glad to know that it's not just my computer that has been so slow. I was going crazy and didn't even think of looking here. I was blaming my internet!
