[Known Issue][May 2025] Ongoing Performance Issues



HellOw everyone,

Thank you to everyone who has reported issues within the game after the maintenance yesterday.

We would like to assure you that we're working to resolve these issues as soon as possible and ask for your continued patience while we continue investigating and applying fixes to the game.

I've listed a few of the most common issues below:
- Game lag,
- Game slowness,
- Delay in receiving password reset emails,
- Delay in receiving verification emails,
- Horse competitions becoming stuck "In progress"

Please know that the above list is not exclusive and is only the most frequent issues being encountered by our players.

We thank you in advance for your continued patience regarding these issues.

Hello,

On May 28th, all the servers underwent maintenance to address the performance issues.

We have already received positive feedback from multiple players. Can you please let us know if the server performance (lag, slowness) is better or resolved for you?

And now that this was addressed, the team will continue tackling the rest of the issues, for example:

Unavailable payment methods;
E-mails from Howrse are not being received;
Inability to log in;
Special horses are not providing their gift;
The Pieces of Cloud Pack from the May Packs are not working;
The ranking is not updated on some versions.
And a few others...

Please note that once the main problems are resolved and the game has stabilized, we will work on compensation for all the issues that happened in the past weeks.

Once more, we are really sorry about the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience over the past weeks!

A few other things players may notice is that the rankings haven't been updated, objectives resetting, and missing UFOs.

Hello, this issue is still here!! I did both tasks but since they all the time changing they dont count it (one I did at monring - it worked out as passes I got) but another one still incomplete because of all the time changes!! default smiley :-xdefault smiley *-)

Hello! I just thought I would ask if anyone else has experienced the login failure since the last update? I use a browser that clears cache and doesn't keep me signed in so that the game always runs smoothly when I am on it. Ever since this update, every time time I go to log in, the "cookies" banner that pops up on the bottom of the page when you first go to the website won't disappear no matter how many times I select "Accept" or "Deny" on it. If the banner is up, it says "You have been inactive for too long, please refresh page". I have to keep going in circles to get it to finally disappear so I can log in.

I’ve been using the mobile app for quite some time, long before these issues came up. I actually prefer it over the desktop browser due to it being quicker for me, in terms of performance, and doing competitions with horses. Only time I hop on classic version is to stoke the xanthos links as they can’t be opened/used within the mobile app.

So far, I have not encountered any issues on the mobile app. There is no lag or slowness. The current event has no issues with energy/attacks being used improperly. I’ve also been able to complete the daily objectives without any issues.

May I suggest those who may be having problems, try the mobile app and see if you’re able to at least get/complete those daily objectives as those passes can be quite useful.

I do hope that Howrse does compensate somehow for the players who are having all of these issues as it prevents them from playing and taking part in activities, especially if they are time-specific.

@SharpShooter, you are not alone. I am having the exact same issue. The only way I am able to log on is to google search a Howrse cached page, and from there I am able to get through!

I wish I was joking when I say my lag has a lag. But I'm not. Also finding myself extremely grateful that I'm not too interested in getting the current event divine. I'd be super upset if my objectives being on the fritz meant I missed out on fragments for one I really want.

As a side note I did try to do my objectives on the app today when they started acting up on my browser but they were messed up there too.

Chiming in with yet another report of objectives resetting before they can be completed. I complained about this yesterday, and sent a ticket to Contact. Last night the problem appeared to be resolved and I was able to complete objectives. This morning I was able to complete one objective before having to leave for an appointment. When I came back this afternoon and tried to work on the 2nd objective, I found that once again it is resetting so whenever I complete what it said a minute ago, it is now saying something else and not crediting me with the objective I just completed.

I logged in immediately after the last daily update to check what my objectives were, but didn't complete either. When I logged in again just a few hours ago, they'd both changed to different objectives. Rather annoying, as one of the new objectives was something I couldn't do and had to trade. This was on the mobile app.
Also still experiencing a lot of lag, particularly when trying to enter horses in competitions, or switch between the different care tabs on the app.

I'm experiencing same things.
I did and validated my objectives yesterday morning, but I didn't receive 20 passes and 10 frags. About an hour later, there was a new 10pass objective, but I STILL didn't get my 20 passes. I sent ticket to contact us with pictures, but complete silence.

I just kept getting more and more objectives yesterday and today I finished the guage and got the hop. I did get my passes each day.

I was wondering if this was a known issue. The last two mornings since the update, has been really slow. The afternoons seem to be better, but in the morning it's almost impossible.

It's really slow, and I can't complete the 2nd objective as it keeps on changing constantly, like what on earth is going on

I feel like the lag is even worse today, and blupping is a nightmare as it took me like 3 minutes of refreshing to sign up for one competition.

I'm not really experiencing any lagging as such but the team rankings are way out of whack, I've bred a number of foals for my team and that hasn't part been reflected in the rankings.

Hey guys I'm also having issues fulfilling my objectives as well it keeps changing the task, pretty sure I've fulfilled the 20 passes one 3 times now before I realized it's changing on me, hope you can fix this soon!! Thanks admin!!

I cannot login on my laptop anymore. Every time I try to login, it says you’ve been inactive too long. Please refresh the page.. and then once I try to refresh and login again, it just shows the same message over and over. Can someone please help me with this?

Just keep getting a new objective every time I click on. So i can't complete them to get the frags or Passes. Frustrating tbh

Not sure if this is the reason but what I am finding is if you complete both objectives they don't reset. If you complete one but wait to complete the second one it seems to trigger the reset.

This has happened with me.

The reason why I think this is the case is on the Australian server this happened and the next day I did both objectives right away and they didn't reset but when I hover my cursor over the Daily Objective under Achievements it shows a 2 in red which indicates there are two objectives to be done. But both are done and no new ones are showings. This happened twice now with objectives completed but still showing the 2 in red.

Yes I am also experiencing this issue as well and I have reported it.

Its super frustrating as I use this game to manage and control my anxiety.

I was able to get around it yesterday by pulling up the website again. Not refreshing, but retyping in the url.

I saw someone else mention to try pulling it up in google, and clicking the address from there.

New twist on the daily objectives for me today. Got the two done right away this morning and credit for them. The second one continues to change and while I don't get anything from it does allow me to 'validate' the changed ones. Progress? Kinda?

My objectives have been switching out, where if I complete the two within a short time, they'll validate and I'll get my passes and everything.

But then a few hours later I'll get a ghost notification of two new objectives but if I go to the page, it shows the already-validated ones. However there *is* an objective there, because yesterday I groomed a Divine and it randomly said 'you completed an objective' and lo and behold it had switched to groom a Divine. Validating it gave me an extra 10 passes and took away the two ghost notifications.

I hope I'm not going to be penalized for the extra passes because of a game error. I didn't do anything purposefully; I couldn't even see what the glitch objective was and it was pure luck I happened to complete it. Currently today the same thing is happening; I have the ghost notifications but since I can't see what the objective is I can't actually do the objective and it'll be luck again if I complete it.
