Affixes on Wild Horses

I just got the Chincoteague wild horse. I've never had one of them before. I tried to add an affix on him, but it won't let me. Do I have to wait until he's tame or can I just not add it? Thanks in advance

They don't get affixes, I have 2 that are fully tamed and trained and they can't get affixes either

Wilds, Chimeras and Pet horses don't get affixes because to give an affix you need to be the breeder, which you aren't, something that's noted as such in their profile with it saying Trainer rather than Producer, since you essentially caught them and then had to tame them.
