This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

*#*#*#* If players feel the need break the main topic rules, such as sales ads/coat countdowns/spares-you can expect an instant forum ban without any warning prior to it *#*#*#*

I missed 8 coats this time, due to me taking a nap and not getting my coats prepped default smiley (ow) totally slipped my mind that it was coat day! I'm sure I'll get them during the second release default smiley :)

I had my coats lined up by breed, but only got about half of what I wanted out of the 100 releases. Picked up a couple in the sales. I got absolutely smacked down by lag today. Took over a minute just to load some pages.

I'm not using the new Cat-Siths yet...just in casedefault smiley (lol)

Well I had to make an "unexpected" bathroom break default smiley (lol)

But I managed to get all but one I wanted. Which I grabbed in sales when I got home from work. Along with a few extras default smiley :) so all in all, not to bad of a release. And I don't have to wake up early! A definite plus!

Psst... you would be right to hold onto your Cat-siths. She may or may not have shared an image of a new cat coat on Discord.default smiley ;)

@ wynter12 Not a big secret. It was easy to guess Viserys will continue matching coats the minute the new siths were announced weeks ago, even without seeing any extra hints. So much for calm releases...

On release: got all I wanted. Not that much as I expected to be. Going through the new coats I see oddly disproportional and weird poses and horses wearing disturbing hats and carrying bags around, which in one or two cases in particular is spoiling otherwise a great coat for me. No idea what kind of a tendency is that. I suppose it's all a sense of taste, since art is terribly objective thing. Since I started playing the game this month is definitely the one I faved the least number of coats I ever did. Oh, well. Too bad for me.

I think it was because Howrse gave back to school as a theme for the August Creation Space.i personally don't like the themes because I dislike a bunch of coats with similarities in one month.

One thing that has always bothered me is when artists choose to make the horse small. Why!? We can resize it if it ends up being bigger then we would like. But you can't make it any bigger. It would be nice if Howrse could make enlarging from original size an option. The only benefit from purposely drawing the horse small is that you can choose to shrink it all the way and hide it in the background better. Hardly anyone does that unless the Helios ray background calls for it.

Didn't expect to be around for this one but picked up the one I missed since I was able.

Shocked how many copies of a 200 use in sales, same person by look.of it. I really think they should limit us to 1 copy, or perhaps 1 per 100 available to make it fairer on all. The one I missed isn't far behind either.

I'm so pleased I got the fairy pony! I've been voting for it every time I've seen it all these months, and it's finally here! I got the beautiful Hennessy, too; surprisingly. I assume the category made there be less competition default smiley (8)

I think their should be some limit, but I don't think it should be only 1 coat per person. We have that limit for pre-release and lots of us use coat release to make some extra passes. It's no different from buying coated horses and flipping them for a profit imo

- I think the coat's name was what I named the horse I had it on

I had that one on my og horse as well. It was a GA. When I first started my account they gave me a GA and a handful of coats to choose from with that one being one of the few
Took them really long to remove it

Is this coat by chance a new or recent retiree? I found it retired in my collection but i had not added the number to the name yet like i usually do when they retire.

Can't tell when it retired but the coat itself is from 2010...

I don't know much about the whole process of pre CS coats retiring, but if the creator themselves retire it, this creator hasn't been online since 2020 which means it may have been retired for 3-ish years, possibly more (?)

Someone correct me if I'm totally wrong about that default smiley (lol)

Ah, ok, thanks so much for informing us! It has been a long time, or seems it, since a Pre CS coat retired on us! I still like to use them!default smiley ^)
