Okay.

3 HOPs in, lots of companions, and a Harmony Pack. I have 14 passes left, so hopefully will be able to score a chest.

Well, I've opened 3.
In my first one I just got some money, turnips, mashes, etc.
In the second a frog and some money and food items.
In the third: A treasure chest!!!!
SO excited!!!

I have spent 15 passes so far and got about 5 MAs, a P Stone, M/Blood, 5 HoPs and a few companions default smiley :) No chest but I'm happy

i have used 35passes out of my 200passes that i have aqnd have got got a chest

they're worth trying for but set a limit (I got mine by spending ONE pass on a HOP, getting a HOP from that HOP, and getting a treasure chest in that HOP) You get Greyfell and diamonds and lots of cash + a variety of BMs so they're definitely worth trying for but be careful or you'll lose all your passes. Make sure to stroke Xanthos!default smiley ;)

Tbhh I think the game knows if it was a pass that you yourself purchased or you got from other players, or from pass horses as the ones you didn't purchase yourself give you just plain trash default smiley ;)
