I think the draft horses will be either like the calves used in the cutting competitions, or like seeds like the cows

Yep! I actually want them to be actual breeds that we can own. That would be fun!

I think they will just be "draft horses".

But actually this is a clever move for Howrse for you can claim their heritage as anything you wish.default smiley :)

So if your "draft horse" brings in more lumber than someone else then your "breed" is better.default smiley :d

...what?
What do you mean by heritage?

The word heritage means the gene pool your horse came from, either pure or mixed breed.

Simply claim what ever breeding your "draft horse" came from. You can claim Percheron, Belgian, Shire, Clyde..whatever.

I assume, if they do a draft breed they will bring the different types of draft breeds, similar to those of ponies, just as drafts. It may take a few days , but i'm sure they will be able to find a way to distinguish each drafts unique form and so on, however it would be interesting if they limited how many drafts were released into the game the first few games.

Adding draft breeds would be really difficult... imagine immediately releasing dozens of new breeds, and an entire set of competitions to fit *specifically* those breeds, all at the same update time. All this, plus new tack and harnesses, new coats for those breeds, and bug free coding to boot.
Though, I do wish that they would create this whole new category. I mean, we have normal horses from all over the world, ponies from every corner, and even mythological horses and divines...!...but no heavy types / drafts.

My guess is that - should Draft horses be a horse we can actually care for...They will probably release them one at a time (same as they do regular horse breeds) so as to not overwhelm the system with something new.

As for competitions - though rare to see, Draft horses can be used in them (albeit you'll be more likely to see them in something like a Pleasure class as opposed to something like Show Jumping, but you get the idea default smiley ;))

Either way - it will be nice to have the Drafts on the game in some form besides the few Diamond Apple coats that made Friesians look like Drafts coat-color wise (I recall seeing at least 5 "Clydesdales" show up thanks to the Diamond Apple) and/or the Draft-like GA coats. Closest thing to the Drafts now are the Gemstones - and that's only because of their size...

Wow! February seems like a long time to wait for all this stuff!default smiley :d
My guess is that draft horses will be used for something that has to do with the wood/iron/sand.

I really hope they introduce Irish drafts! They are the lightest of all drafts. I love them so much in real life! And just to let you know Irish drafts actually have competed at high levels if show jumping, dressage etc. etc. so they can compete with the other horses! They are also great for cross breeding! default smiley :d

Introduce Irish drafts default smiley (y)default smiley <:o)
I have been waiting for clydesdales and shires since 2007 when I joined the game. I really hope they are breedable. I really want them. If not I will be very upset. It's very unfair of Howrse to have all these random breeds and exclude the draft community.

Gypsy Vanners are cobs, they are not true drafts
Friesians are light drafts if you can call them that, they are really hairy warmbloods

True drafts are Belgians, Clydes, Shires, Percherons etc.

Also I am sure the delay is if they are introducing breedable drafts... they must be getting new artwork. Think about it, we'd have them if it was as simple as using the gypsy horse look, but those dont work for most drafts. So... I'm hoping for more breeds, more graphics...

Please horse deliver. I've been waiting way too long for this, as has the rest of the community. The game has changed in many ways and I have been a loyal follower. Please don't let us down.

I agree in introducing draft breeds to the game. They can compete in the same competitions as light horses and ponies, it's just uncommon. Many other horse sim games similar to Howrse have them on their games, so why not us?

Does anyone know what the sand/iron/wood products will do? I know we're supposed to be able to build boxes and tack and the like, but I don't see how sand ties into that default smiley (lol)
