Does anyone have the old vs. new coat photos so we can see what the coats were and what they changed to?

I am very amused that the markings on the tovero Quarter Horse and Argentinean Criollo coats completely change from foal to adult form. That is most definitely not true to life! default smiley xd

Arabians do though depending on the color. default smiley ;)

Ive read that the Gypsy Vanner coat idea has changed due to feed back....could someone PM me a picture, or "quote" a picture of them? Also, did they change the mustangs to?

Really is that true? Can they do that? That would be awesome! How about the Friesian one? default smiley ;)

Personally I like the new Mustang coats better than the old ones. I'm not saying the new ones are more accurate or anything I just think they the new one is a better looking horse than the old one. Most real mustangs I have seen have a relatively sort body in length from head to tail and a some what round tummy with a shorter neck and legs that is compared to horses like say Thoroughbreds or Quarter Horses.

I am so happy that they changed it.

Oh I like how they merged the feathering this time. Much better. Now I shall continue breeding them. default smiley :-)) Thank you Howrse for listening to us. default smiley (y)default smiley :-))default smiley (l)

I personally liked the first newer version better... The new one is nice but the older one reminded me more of the only GV I've ever worked with in real life. He was a lesson horse so his feathers and such were clipped mostly off so he wouldn't constantly come in caked with mud default smiley :p

That's not to say I hate the new one. It's nice, but there's no nostalgia factor in it for me default smiley (y)

I really don't like the new Gypsy Vanner look and it's unfortunate because they're my highest GP horses and I've been working hard on them. I love the current coats.. anyone else agree?

The Shetland foals look bigger than the fully grown pony!

How can you tell? There's nothing to compare it to default smiley (o) If you take a picture of a pony from really close up, and a Draft Horse from really far away, is the pony automatically bigger because it will take up more of the space on the picture?

mustangs
new

old
The new ones are really dull but the old ones were a bit unusual. The perspective for the old one is terrible. The front is angling towards us while the rear end is at a profile position.
In my opinion the body is to short and the legs are to long for the old one. The new one however are a little bit of an improvement its face is a bit strange with with nearly terrible details. and its hindquarters seem to small so mustangs get a 6/10.

I don't know. I thing that the thing that everyone is calling a tumor looks like the horse is just chewing a mouth full or more than a mouth full. default smiley ;)

You mean the jawbone? Which every horse has? default smiley (o) I've seen plenty of horses with really defined jowls, especially stallions.

Ugggg....

I was hoping the change would be an improvement...

I am totally selling my Gypsy Vanners or giving hem Gas just so I don't have to suffer the horror of seeing them.

I'll bet the GVs will go for a lot lower than they;re actually worth now in the sales because of their new coats

Was trying to figure out what was wrong with the new Marwaris, and finally figured it out. Their heads are too small. That, and they have lost the beautiful arch in their neck. Check out my page, there is a pic a the bottom of a real Marwari and you will see what I mean. The new ones look like paint horses...ugh! default smiley :k

You know why it looks worse than the older new version? Because the feathers look like fur wrapped around the legs...

The things on the horses' faces? Cheekbones, horses have them.

Wait. So the blended feathering is the first and they changed it to the leg warmers looking one? The one with the feathering that wasn't as long at least matched the rest of the leg and looked like it was part of the horse. The other REALLY looks like strange fuzzy leg warmers of a seemingly random color. Why would it's leg feathering be the same color as its mane and tail instead of the legs that its actually on? It looks like its wearing what ever those are on its legs not like its the hair around its hooves. In fact it doesn't even look like its part of the horse. There is a very distinct line where the "leg warmers" begin. Seriously if you turned that part blue.... Total monster boot cover things. I guess it would look fine that fuzzy if there wasn't such a distinct line and if it was the CORRECT color instead of the color of its mane and tail.
I there for completely agree with you. But I don't understand.default smiley :'( Why would they do that?default smiley (n) I take it back! No thank you Howrse. That is ridiculous! default smiley :k Please please change it!
