Very interesting

So I heard we should make manure with droppings... But why? Can someone please elaborate? How is making manure going to be harder? More resources needed?

Because after the change you can only produce a limited number depending on the size of your workshop. It takes 22 hours to produce this number and it also takes straw(bedding) as a new additional ingredient. Which we normally sell. I'd recommend to make what you can before to have some on hand when it comes to plant your fields and not block a workshop right away with it or have to buy it in the shop (76e/bag).

I'm glad I never really got into the EC side of the game. That way I won't be wasting any passes with these new expensive features. I've ditched my EC completely when they started the changes, and I don't regret it one bit.
I'm looking forward to the drafts definitely! I only just read they will be like donkeys, but it didn't say if their gp would go up like horses or down like donkeys. I'd love to breed them if the are heading towards negative.

Still I'm not sure where my ec should be placed. I'd like to make tack, but there is no way just can change to a western ec, or is there any possibility we may be allowed too? But I mainly board my AP horses in my ec, so. Which location would be most helpful for making crops?

*facepalm* yes, rather than make the game a game, let's make it more tedious for everyone. Here you go, pick where you want your EC to be-- but wait! you'll only get benefits for certain phases of training your horse! then you have to move on to another EC if you want to full benefits of training. Oh, let's also take away jobs! Not like anyone needed those, right? But wait, there's more! Let's also make the maximum price for ECs twice what we give you for daily login! That won't hurt anyone, right? And then let's also add more tasks for the EC owners! We'll at least let you make some of the equipment (even though blacksmiths and saddlers did essentially the same thing and helped more than a handful of people), but you have to raise cattle to do it.

I'm not understanding these changes. At all. These don't benefit the game, in my opinion. Taking away jobs and giving us a measly daily salary of 100e while allowing ECs to charge double that? How does that help? Then essentially forcing us to spend more time trying to cut costs by raising cattle for leather, even though saddlers (was there another one as well?) did the exact same thing in exchange for hiring other players. Which not only helped out the EC owner by providing them with tack, but also helped out the saddler by giving them a reliable income.

What really gets me the most is the draft horses, though. Now, don't get me wrong, it's great to see they're finally coming, but wasn't howrse so adamant about never bringing them that all suggestions to bring them were immediately shut down? I don't know about anyone else here, but I can't trust a company that vehemently refuses something only to suddenly change their mind.

This is a game, and as such it should be fun (though everyone's idea of fun differs). It should be enjoyable, and for a while now, for me it's been anything but. Now, I have all but given up trying to manage my EC money because it all bleeds together. That's not how businesses work. That's not how life works, and for a game that seems to be trying to be realistic, it's failing in several easy departments. I'm disappointed with what has been changing as of late because there's no real reason **for** the change, except for the sole purpose of change.

Obviously there are going to be people who disagree with me and that's fine. Everyone is entitiled to their own opinions, but consider this:
-for realism, why is there no bank?
-why were jobs removed? Are we all supposed to be unemployed?
-why not make changes that actually benefit the community and encourage interaction? (keep in mind that many EC owners often rewarded employees who chose to stay with them, which encouraged friendly relations and gave the impression of a friendly atmosphere)
-Why not create a place for people to hang out, like a sort of off-topic forum where people with similar interests can group up and have fun?

I don't like posting "rants" without offering some sort of suggestion to help, because I feel it's absolutely useless to comment and say "I don't like it" without explaining why and, as I just mentioned, offering ways to improve it.

But hey, I'm just a non-important, non-buyer, so carry on now ^_^

It's, to my knowledge, supposed to be like a brand. If you look and see all the Dauntless horses, you can tell they are part of the Dauntless group. It's especially helpful to keep different projects seperate if you have limited breeding farms.

In essence, you can make group A and group B, for two different breeding projects, and put them in the same farm without the risk of accidentally mixing them up (unless you buy from someone else. it that case it's sort of like a mark saying "I bred this" which can help people occasionally look to see what their sold horses are doing default smiley :))

Draft horses are coming in May. They will have 3 coverings only like donkeys BUT in all other ways they will be like other horses. So their GP will be going up.

if your talking about building stuff in the workshop, it is almost the same as growing crops, you buy the matirials, select what you want to build and wait a couple of days. Also the new updates seem cool, but after around 1 day of using them they get boring and slightly tedious, however if you like ECs how they are now you may find the changes to interesting

whats happening in the overhaul in the black market
I am most definitely not looking forward to the EC changes. all I use my EC for, is 4 fields of apples, 1 greenhouse of wheat, and making manure. I also runs 5 competitions, but those are besides the point. my EC is for me to make some money. ECs are not even relevant to the idea of breeding horses. Most people in the real world, who breed horses have their own STABLES not Equestrian Centres run by total strangers.

This game is straying farther and farther from the original Goal, and I'm so disappointed. Ever since Ubisoft got involved, they've done what the usually do to good games. Ruin them.

Everybody I've spoken to about the changes is completely overwhelmed, and most are as disappointed, if not more so, than I am.

if you actually read that, thanks. This is just my point of view, so please do not take it too seriously, as I don't mean to offend anybody (except maybe the goof(s) at Ubisoft who decided that more promos and everything non related to horse breeding should be added to a game about HORSE BREEDING)

It is the secret market. They seem to be getting rid of it. I'm assuming they're doing this because everything you can get for passes there will now be able to be crafted i.e. showers, boxes etc.

I do not think the changes with making manure are good at all. The change will cut off a lot of income we recieve by selling it default smiley :(

Summer is in the TCs 23rd to 26th. Apparently originally the seasonal divines were supposed to be in the sales, with Winter most likely coming first followed by Fall/Summer. But I think it's being changed to putting them in the Titan's Challenge

That's all I could find sorry. Not sure if it's 100% accurate or not though.
I have been playing howrse for 6 years now, but recently I have given up. Change is constant, it's getting harder and harder to play for free. I have completely given up on my EC. Sure enough, the drafts are a good idea, but they're a feeble consolation prize for the irritatingly consistent upheaval. I understand that change is necessary, but it needs to be understood that not all are required. Like the horse vaccines that prevented illness, but caused so much bother that it was eventually removed. I barely log in anymore, I can't keep up, no disrespect to others, some of you may like it, but others do not. I just think the whole thing has become rather tiring. default smiley (n)

I agree completely, especially with the latest update. I read through what they're doing for the next update and when it comes out i'm going to be questioning the amount of time I put into this game, which seems to like making the game more irritating with each update! I love that they add new types of horses but they keep saying 'realism!' when what I would prefer is a fun to play and easy enough to understand game. I'm going to stop now so I don't end up with a rant just as long as the one I'm quoting.
Does anyone know after the updates whether or not it is still possible to destroy boxes?
