My guess is it's because if there were unlimited, permanent levels, new players would have no chance of ever catching up with the older ones, who would have had years of extra time to work their horses and participate in events to grind to extremely high levels. As well as what you said; people potentially just getting infinite prizes from only one area. Besides that, you could make this case for *any* of the trophies. It's not like there's an upper limit to things like seniority or how many horses you can breed. Personally I don't mind that there's a cap, although some of them I think cap far too high or too low. The old trophies all had caps too; it made it satisfying when you could could finally complete them in a way that infinite continuation would not. Yeah, I do agree with everything you've said. I wish at the least the caps would be raised a bit higher, or maybe raise them another level in a couple years when people have had time to work on them/max them out. I think for promos specifically, I wouldn't mind if they were infinite in a sense because we constantly have promos. It just really threw me off that I've already maxed out the Merge trophy when we've only had it for 1.5 years? And I haven't even spent too many passes on the Merge. This is the first Merge where I've spent some extra passes on it. I usually don't because it's not a promo I enjoy. I feel like it should take multiple years to max out promo trophies considering how Howrse is very much a "long haul" sort of game lol.

Click to display The trophy Divines having a limit is a bit odd to hear, too. While I was never into the Divine rewards I kinda thought that was the whole point of the trophy update and the biggest plus side to most of the people who didn't utterly hate it. I also can't imagine they ran out of useless low-end Divines to give us *already* I mean, come on, not even a Grayfell?

Kaiju drops Titan's Challenge and I have had him since Dec.15, 2023 and he has only given me 4 TCs in that time. Thanks, but that is not what I meant  I meant the Golden Fleece and HoP fragment drop to get Kaiju and Cascade. Never mind! Got Cascade on the Dutch server with only 12 HoPs and I'm very happy with her and her son Geyser

No, they're getting ready for next week.
Under Spoiler because it's my speculation but it's long. Click to display Now, Sunday is going to be Quindecim day. That's an ungodly amount of passes just being generated in a single day, since it's going to be 1400p for every player who has a Quindecim and keeps playing. HOWEVER! Next week is going to have the Dreaded (for them) Friday the 13th, which will double the gains of every single Crocus in the game. FOLLOWED by the Love Divines that just spout passes. Not to mention the fact that they released one in Ascent and some players got many of those. SO, this is going to be the Most Pass-Heavy week of the year. This means they'll release Croesus next weekend, so they can flush EVERYTHING and make the packs more appealing. That's my piece.
