Is there eventually going to be a system where players can adopt horses once a day?
Speedy answered this question for you yesterday. Players place their horses there so other players won't be able to get them so I can't imagine Howrse letting us adopt horses from there. I also believe it's been said that their information is deleted once they are sent there so once sent it can't be retrieved

Though if you mean adopting in general and not necessarily from the Safe Haven I don't think that would be introduced either as there are tons of unwanted horses in the sales. If we had an adoption system (which to me means it would probably be a cheep fee) then horses prices would go down as players would have a harder time selling them.

I'm expecting it won't be until the end of August, since there is usually one promo a month and the maze is starting soon.

The masterpost for the next promo has been bumped up on nearly every page lately. It should be within the last 3 pages and has all the info you need to know about that promo

Maze 1: Drum Horse and Golden Horseshoe

Maze 2: Ow's Helios Ray and Golden Horseshoe

Maze 3: Titan's Challenge and Golden Horseshoe

Maze 4: Divine Sekhmet and Golden Horseshoe

default smiley (b) Other information
- Maximum no. of points bar can hold = 100
- No. points recovered per hour = 3-5 (calculations are based on 5 to utilise the maximum possible number of strides)
- No. points needed per stride = 10 (better than the 20 points we needed last time!)
- Treats can be found on *all* levels of the TC, not just on the 3rd level.
- Mazes must be completed *in order*.
- When entering a new maze, points in the bar returns to 100.
- No teleports/shortcuts.

default smiley (b) How to Participate

The promo is all about moving one step (or pace) at a time towards the exit. One pace is made up of 10 points on a regeneration bar, which can increase by 3/4/5 points per hour, depending on how many skills your horse has. So if you have a top-skilled horse that regenerates 5 points per hour, it will take two hours for you to have enough points to move one step through the maze. Also, it's worth noting that you can't take care of the horse that you have chosen unless you switch it out/finish the maze.

Sweets can be picked up along the maze. Each sweet icon you come across gives you three sweets, which equal three free steps. You can also buy sweets for passes if need be, as well as spyglasses which can uncover more of the maze before you get to that area (since the maze is covered completely from the start, and you would need to uncover the squares as you go along). Sweets can also be found in levels of the Titan's Challenge once the offer becomes available.

You can't get kicked out for making 'wrong' moves, but it will take you longer to finish as you would have wasted steps. Besides paying passes for sweets/spyglasses/Titan's Challenges, you don't have to spend passes.

default smiley (b) Sweets can be found on *all* levels of the TC, and can still be won even if you lose (between 3-5 sweets per level)

default smiley (b) Number of skills needed for pace regeneration
Please note that I do not know the exact number of skills needed for each level of regeneration. To be safe, I would try to use a horse that has skills *above* the minimum of what I have found.

0 - 1485 skills = +3 per hour
1554 - 4632 skills = +4 per hour
4688+ skills = +5 per hour

Average number of sweets per TC level = 4 sweets

default smiley (b) Maze 1 - Draft (Drum Horse)
If completing straight away...
-> 100 free paces = 10 free steps
-> 25 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 6.25 TCs (12-14 passes)
OR
-> 25 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 3.125 TCs (6-8 passes)

If waiting for free steps...
-> Can be completed in 50 hours (2 days 2 hours)
-> No passes needed!

default smiley (b) Maze 2 - Ow's Helios Ray
If completing straight away...
-> 100 free paces = 10 free steps
-> 69 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 17.25 TCs (34-36 passes)
OR
-> 69 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 8.625 TCs (12-14 passes)

If waiting for free steps...
-> Can be completed in 138 hours (5 days 18 hours)
-> Would take 7 days 20 hours with maze 1
-> No passes needed!

default smiley (b) Maze 3 - Titan's Challenge
If completing straight away...
-> 100 free paces = 10 free steps
-> 109 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 27.25 TCs (54-56 passes)
OR
-> 109 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 13.625 TCs (26-28 passes)

If waiting for free steps...
-> Can be completed in 218 hours (9 days 4 hours)
-> Would take 16 days 0 hours with mazes 1 and 2
-> No passes needed!

default smiley (b) Maze 4 - Divine (Sekhmet)
If completing straight away...
-> 100 free paces = 10 free steps
-> 143 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 35.75 TCs (70-72 passes)
OR
-> 143 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 17.875 TCs (34-36 passes)

If waiting for free steps...
-> Can be completed in 286 hours (11 days 22 hours)
-> Would take 28 days 22 hours with mazes 1, 2 and 3
-> Need passes to finish

Pass calculations...
-> 100 free paces = 10 free steps
-> 143 steps remaining
-> Promo runs for 19 days (estimated)
-> 19 - 17 days (time taken to complete previous three mazes) = 2 days remaining
-> 11.5 free moves (1st day of promo) + 2 free moves (last day of promo) = 13.5 free moves
-> 143 - 13.5 = 129.5 steps remaining (rounded to 130 steps)
-> 130 / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 32.5 TCs (64-66 passes)
OR
-> 130 / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 16.25 TCs (32-34 passes)

Does anyone have a master post of the potions promo? Also, when will that begin?
By Retired breeder, 26th July 2016 21:44:25
^ That needs to be in a spoiler....and the link is right above bibb's post.

No, not yet. It's not in testing yet, so we don't have much information on it besides the information posted by Pearl Onyx, bibbs, and LittleBird below;

You collect ingredients that are needed to make a potion that will give you a gift. If you were here for the Tree Decorating promo this past Christmas then that's the closest promo I can compare it to if you weren't here for Potions promos of the past

Bumping up some links to P__posts.

And a translation of it. You might just want to wait until Pre prod opens for this server to get more detailed info about it.

The potions have finally returned! default smiley <:o) On the magic theme, atmosphere HP guaranteed (not really sure how to translate this)

Principle:

The principle is simple: you need to collect ingredients to make magic potions. Each potion gives a particular gift.

How do you make a potion?

Let's go step by step to understand well:

1. Figure out the ingredients of the recipe. To do that, click on the potion you want to prepare, on the list of ingredients, choose some, then test. If you hit the bull's eye with an ingredient, it is put in the space above. The number of tries is unlimited, but you can only free six potions per day.

2. Now, you need to collect the ingredients! Here is the list of possible sources:
-Thanks to the daily objectives
-In the flash sales
-By buying them with your passes
-With the Alchemist's Pack

And for the unicorn hobbyists, the fourth objective is always to remove a unicorn's horn, horseshoes and removing a Pegasus' wings. (weird idk)

3. Prepare the recipe! Find the potion you wish, click on "prepare" and that's all there is to it!

Patience! Each type of potion needs a certain amount of time to be ready. It's about:
-2 days for Virgo
-1 day for BMIs
-12 hours for employees
-6 hours for shop items
-4 hours for ingredients
-2 hours for Equus
You can also use boosters that reduce the time for preparation by two hours. Boosters are cumulative (in other words, you can put several on one potion).

5. When the potion is ready, you win the gift!

Ingredients:

There are sixteen ingredients of different rarities:

Serpent's venom, mosquito larvae, mushroom spores, (???) sap, four leaf clover, snail slime, hippogriff's claw, stardust, griffin's eye, moonstone, dragon's scale, phoenix's tears, unicorn horn, violet potion, blue potion, red potion

The final three ingredients can also be made in potions default smiley ;)

Gifts:

There are six types of gifts: divine, ingredients, BMIs, employees, Equus, shop items

Useful information:

-The necessary ingredients change while this contest is active.
-You can make the Virgo potion and not make any others.
-The number of ingredients in a potion double if you make it a second time.

You have to be a VIP, and if all VIP spots get filled up, Ow invites several normal players.
Retired breeder wrote:

Bibbs literally bumped up a masterpost for the next promotion a few posts above yours. It will start probably on Thursday, like most other promos have. These questions have been asked multiple times over the past few pages.

Everyone, please READ (caps for emphasis) at least the last 2-3 pages before asking questions. Chances are, the question you have has already been asked.

Retired breeder wrote:

Normal players get invited to test no matter if all VIP slots have been filled or not. There are 250 VIP slots (I think) and I'm not sure how many non-VIP players are invited to tests, but it's probably a substantial amount as well. More than just 'several' players, in any case.

What I found out while digging through about 2,000 lines of source code for an unrelated project:

Click to display
They're bringing back solar system divines during the next few promos. In the source code (which you can view here (which I in turn accessed from the page of the horse I was blupping, so it's worth noting that yes, this is current), I came across a list of images for the solar system divines. It's worth noting that there wasn't another complete series of divines with a set of image links.

Basically, the divines are set to appear in the little blue promo bar over the course of a promo or two, which is why they're linked in the source code.

They're bringing back solar system divines.

If anybody is interested in digging through the above source code linked (I might do that later, if nobody else has), it might be possible to find the images of the unreleased horoscope divines.
