Okay. Your first three are 90 points off. Then they are correct until the transition between the 6th and 7th one, which is 173 points off. Why howrse... why...

For anyone wanting to run their own calculations;

What you need
Daily Score:
Average score per horse: (Daily score / however many horses you entered that day)
Point value of the prize you want:

Including today - The promotions is 18 Full Days long (I am not counting the 21st, as it is not a full day and the promotion ends a few hours after update time and not everyone can be around at this time get a few more points)

Here's how to make the calculation *round up*

Daily score x 18 days = Total score

Prize Point Value - Total score = missing points

Missing points / Average score = number of additional horses (tickets) you must use

From there - just look at the ticket prices to see how many you'll need;

1 pass = 2 tickets
3 passes = 6 tickets
5 passes = 12 tickets
10 passes = 25 tickets
20 passes = 55 tickets
50 passes = 150 tickets

So using my numbers:

Daily score: 615
Average score per horse: 76 (615 / 8 horses)
Prize Point value: 21,000

615 daily score x 18 days = 11,070 total
21,000 prize points - 11,070 total = 9,930 missing points
9,930 missing points / 76 average score = 131 additional horses (tickets) needed

Best price for 131 tickets = 50 passes (1 pack of 150 tickets for 50 passes *allows extra tickets for getting bonuses if you don't want to wait for help* OR 2 packs of 55 tickets (40 passes), 1 pack of 25 tickets (10 passes))

**Please note this does NOT take into account any special deals that might happen with tickets. This is ONLY if buying tickets flat out with passes!

But I am getting 90 pts a race and that makes a big difference 720 a day

Is there any info on the new/upcoming divine? If there is can someone let me know that there is or maybe a page I could try to find it on?
(I'm sorry if this needs to be in a spoiler)

I thought I might only have to spent 10 passes on this promo..... apparently it will be more if I want the divine

So if today I got 623 points, i would get about 1100 total, but is there a way to get more or less points than the previous day...
I think the max points you can earn from team comps is 90.
The individual comps award points according horse level and what place they finish however. If they follow the pattern of the last time we had the championships, the maximum amount of points you can win is 104, but in order to achieve this you will need #1 ranked horse in the game.
This is the competition you would need to win:

The points system is correct. However, y'all are right. Each pass gives you 2 tickets.
And 50 passes gives you 150 so I guess the minimum price would be 50 passes.
Again, I know a lot of you posted about weekend promos. I stated that my calculations did NOT take those into account.

I am going to save !y last 14 passes and wait for a promo offer.
I need Pisces to get Aries!!!

I guess since everybody can find it on YouTube it is no secret worth hiding in a spoiler, but I watched someone playing with the promos vertion and there they had pack offers of 6 tickets for 1 pass. Meaning 20 passes should be plenty to get pieces default smiley :)

I dont consider this promos pass heavy then since you get a divine able to breed. She would easily be 20 passes in reserved sales, but then without the extra stuff we get through the championship. I am getting just more and more happy with this promos default smiley :)

Looking at the prizes we get I see that we get BMIs worth of 20+ passes anyway if we get to the divine. I am so happy Howrse made a non-stingy promo! default smiley :)
Most need the same amount of passes if you plan things out.

If you jump in day one using passes you end up using more passes.

Okay for anyone wondering about Pass Useage for this promo *without* special offers;

Based on the Point Numbers numbers SilverStallion posted;

1st: 90 points
2nd: 83 points
3rd: 75 Points
4th: 68 Points
5th: 60 Points

And how many tickets you get for buying them flat out:

1 pass = 2 tickets
3 passes = 6 tickets
5 passes = 12 tickets
10 passes = 25 tickets
20 passes = 55 tickets
50 passes = 150 tickets

And the fact the promo is 18 Full Days long *I am not including the 21st as it is not a full day and not everyone can log on early enough to participate that day* and waiting until the Last Full Day to use Passes:

1st Place
90 x 8 = 720
720 x 18 = 12960 total
21,000 - 12,960 = 8,040 points short
8,040 / 90 = 90 *rounded up*

Best price for 90 tickets: 35 passes (1 pack of 55 for 20, 1 pack of 25 for 10, 1 pack of 12 for 5)

2nd Place
83 x 8 = 664
664 x 18 = 11952
21000 - 11952 = 9048 points short
9048/ 83 = 110 *rounded up*

Best price for 110 tickets: 40 passes (2 packs of 55 for 20)

3rd Place
75 x 8 = 600
600 x 18 = 10800
21000 - 10800 = 10200
10200 / 75 = 136

Best price for 136 tickets: 50 passes (1 pack of 150 for 50*)

4th Place
68 x 8 = 544
544 x 18 = 9792
21000 - 9792 = 11208
11208 / 68 = 165 *rounded up*

Best price for 165 tickets: 57 Passes (1 pack of 150 for 50, 1 pack of 12 for 5, 2 packs of 2 for 1)

5th Place
60 x 8 = 480
480 x 18 = 8640
21000 - 8640 = 12360
12360 / 60 = 206

Best price for 206 tickets: 71 passes (1 pack of 150 for 50, 1 pack of 55 for 20, 1 pack of 2 for 1)

So - without waiting for special offers, one can expect to use between 35 to 71 passes

*For 3rd place - Unless you are willing to spend more passes to get less tickets, there is no way to avoid 'losing' extra tickets (best to use them to get bonuses).

Now, while I can't confirm this *missed a lot of preprod* - if we take into account a special offer;

Click to display
We'll use the offer from the last event - which if memory serves was 1 Pass for 6 tickets *only applied to using a single pass/10 diamonds*

So - now, let's use those same numbers of tickets needed:

90 / 6 = 15 passes
110 / 6 = 19 passes *rounded up*
136 / 6 = 23 passes *rounded up*
165 / 6 = 28 passes *rounded up*
206 / 6 = 35 passes *rounded up*

So, though it might take awhile - you see it is actually advantageous to wait for a special offer to come around to use passes.

You will get a PM asking if it's correct and if it is then you don't have to do anything.

Wow. Just wow. This is proof how capitalism is taking over our world. In order to get the horse we desire, we MUST waste tons of money on passes. Unbelievable! default smiley :@
opal wrote:

Here's how I mathed this default smiley (6)default smiley (6).
Ps. 90 passes will get you Pisces. You can't win all competitions daily and receive Pisces.. Winning all 8 comps every day for 18 days (including the morning of it closing) only gives you 12,960 points. You will need an additional 8,040 points to get pisces.

(this doesn't take into consideration and offers like tickets in HOPS)

Information on the Championship Promo.

If you don't want to use real money/passes to win Pisces, I'm sorry, but it's not possible.

Here's the Math:

For each day, you can get a total of 8 tickets. If you enter 8 horses per day in competitions here's what you will receive per placing:

Each time you place:
1st: 90 points
2nd: 83 points
3rd: 75 Points
4th: 68 Points
5th: 60 Points

You have a total of 18 days to do this promo.

8 horses placing 1st (per day you will get 720 points) for 18 days gives you a total of 12,960 Points.

Since Pisces costs you 21,000 Points, you WILL have to purchase passes to win Pisces.
So, without passes, what can I get for completing this promo?

If you win all 8 competitions every day for 18 days, you will win every prize up to (and including) the Bonus Pack on the Prizes page.

How to Win Pisces using the least amount of passes:

Make sure to only enter your BEST horse. In ALL competitions. (Once a competition has run, that horse will be available to use again).

On the last day, if you have all 12,960 you will need to get an additional 8,040 Points to obtain Pisces.
So mathing this backwards:
(8,040[points]/90[points]=89.33 competitions EXTRA you will have to win/compete it which we have to round to 90.
You would have to buy 90 passes to win Pisces

You don't HAVE to. It's always an option, plus this is how Howrse makes money to keep running. Personally I would never waste money for a pixelated horse. This is how it's been for a while though, you want the pretty expensive divine from the promo? You have to give money to Howrse.
This promo like all others will not cost any more than the others. You just need to learn to plan it out.

Anyone have info on the next Zodiacs? I believe there isn't any images yet?

Click to display
The next is probably Taurus, though.

I've had some thoughts on what the leftover zodiacs would look like:

Click to display

Libra- Horse with a large scale balancing on her back (female)
Gemini- Two headed horse (No idea on gender or age)
Virgo- A long-haired horse? (Female)
Taurus- A horned bull-like horse (Male)
Cancer- Dunno... Definitely has pinchers, very crab-like... (Foal? Male?)
Leo- Front/head is lion, back is horse? (Male)

Just guesses.
