Also, does anyone know the exact dates we'll be able to use HoPs to get decorations, and how many decorations we'll get from opening one? Thanks!

Wait. So I've heard that people are getting divided in the calander. I thought only on the 24th you had a chance? Whats up with that? All I've gotten was ornaments

You can win divines by opening up each "day"

Check out the main post on the Events forum topic. It states:
So no, not everyone got a divine today, though there was a chance *waves unlucky hand*

That's incorrect. You have a chance of winning a divine on the 24th and on Sundays. So today, the 13th, and the 20th as well.

If you look back within the last 3 pages, you will find your answer. It's been talked about a lot. Specifically page 1530

Thanks! It's not really good memory though, it's just good research skills.
If I wonder something about the upcoming promo I typically search for Shorah's posts. And I glance in here once in awhile just to keep up what's going on spoiler wise. The resources are all there, you just have to learn how to use them to your advantage

I think most players don't think to look back at other pages, they probably think they're the first to ask the question. Many are young, or inexperienced, or forgetful.
It doesn't make it any less irritating, though.

Well...for the sake of defending myself.
I always try to find the answer before posting a question. I apologize if my curiosity (and sense of humor) has offended anyone.
Now, excuse me while I pout in the corner and lick my wounds.

It does get a little tiring on the nerves to answer the same question over and over again. I just answer if I feel like it. Mostly because I'm sure the age old answer of 'read a few pages back (and not even being specific as to which page or post)' gets annoying as well. Not to mention answers like that over and over again puts us in a bad light. Like in a way it's saying, 'why should we just hand you the answer, go look it up'. It's an answer that rubs me the wrong way (although I am guilty of giving that answer) from experience.

Indeed, I can see both sides. I think everyone means well, and I hope you aren't actually upset Ruger, I don't think anything was intentionally directed at you.
Hugs.

What is the Community Christmas Tree in the Tree Decorating Promo? Thanks in advance!
It is;
Click to display
a Giant tree we will all work together to decorate. The first server to decorate the tree in full will receive additional help for the event in the form of Decoration UFOs that will happen during the last week of the event.

In regards to that...

While the dates are not known - generally, help like that happens during the middle of the event, and again towards the end. Assuming the promo does start on the 10th - this means we can probably expect to see decorations in the Hops from December 18th - 21th, and then again from the 25th until the end.
You will get 10 decorations - and the breakdown of them seems to be the following *at least, this held constant for the 20 or so hops I opened*;
3 Tinsel
1 Plain bauble
1 Striped bauble
1 Tree bauble
1 Spiral bauble
3 Ornaments - random
*The color of the Tinsel and Baubles will be random - remember, color does not matter for the decorations the trees need (though pattern matters for Baubles)

I feel this will help a lot of players in regards to horses and the T_ D_ promo;

Result for the optimum:
1. horse: Percheron, exactly 8 years old, coat light grey
2. horse: Donkey, exactly 5 years old, coat black
With this combination the
Short journey needs 6 hours
Long journey needs 14 hours
Very long journey needs 1 day
Very very long journey (to the divines) needs 2 days
Gender doesn't matter. Skills or GP doesn't matter.
It's important that the first horse is the Percheron, otherwise you will travel much longer.
A black percheron, 8 yrs + a black donkey, 5 yrs will need 6h 18 min for the short journey
A light grey percheron, 8 yrs + a white donkey will need 6h 18 min for the short journey
Horses or donkeys that are not exactly 8 (or 5) will need a few minutes longer for every two months differnce for a short journey. That cumulate up to several hours and days for the longer journeys.

Hey, so um is it a 100% chance that if you bring back and decorate a divine tree you will get a divine? If not, what will be in the divine's place?

I can agree, it does get tiring, but I'm not young or inexperienced, and I sometimes can find it hard to find information.
So, what's my chance of getting a Divine on Sunday?

Since you will get it for absolutely free: low. Very low, most likely.
