The Maintenance update was referring to the small changes they made to accounts (the new Pegasus, VIP, and regular account perks)

Ok question.
What is the Teasure Hunt?
Indeed, though just remember that *unless things changed* the figurines can not be gotten outside of Europe.
As for the second part of your question - bringing forward the 'Master' Post I made about the T_ H_:
Click to display
*copied from the Preprod Topic*
This contest is a kind of treasure hunt where the objective is to find the medallion of Amira, the legendary horse. You need to find objects on different scenes and collect points. These points allow you to win prizes.
Hourglasses:
You receive hourglasses that let you play:
►when you first log of the day (4 day)
► during grooming your horses (limited to 2 per day)
► victories during your horses in competition (limited to 2 per day)
► the black market against the pass when there is an operation
You begin with two games available, represented by hourglasses.
A timer turns while you look for objects.
There are a total of 11 items to find during a game. When you find an item:
► you earn 95 points
► a 10-second counter appears
If you find another object during those 10 seconds, you earn 15 bonus points.
There is no time limit to find the objects.
Points:
You earn points by playing a part. When you reach certain levels, you earn gifts (list available on the contest page)
Clues::
There are 5 scenes where you can find objects. At the end of each scene a clue must be found to proceed to the next scene.
Scenes:
There are 5 different scenes.
Each scene you complete gives you Amira equipment. So if you have completed the 5 scenes, you will get 5 equipment items that will allow you to transform one of your horses in Amira.
Speed Ranking::
A ranking of the fastest players is available on the contest page. There is a gift to win for first place!
History:
The chapters in the history of Amira will be released step by step during the competition for games played by the community. This way you will know all about the adventures of the mysterious Amira.
Amira
Amira is a beautiful Arabian mare. She lives in Egypt.
Some days she can hide. On days when it hides, it shows a UFO. For the lucky players, this UFO has a Chronos Timer or Piece of Cloud. To others, it gives Aging Points, Sand, or energy for your horses.
Game:: shows a special UFO if it is hidden
VIP: Automatically retrieve the leather on crops and meadows
This horse can not be sold. Note that Amira can not have foals.
~*~
Basically - it's a hidden object game. You'll use a timer and be shown a scene. You need to find all 11 items in the scene to earn points (faster you find them, the more points you can get). To the right - you'll see a list of the items (note you can only click on and clear an item if it's currently showing on your list *so you can't clear the pick axe shown in scene 1 until it appears on the list*)
Once you have enough points for a scene - the next time you play it, you'll find a clue as well. Finding the clue gives you a piece of Legendary Tack for Amira, and opens up the next area to search.
~*~
The following are pictures of where everything is to 'speed up' your searching. Though I do have a few notes about these images before I post them:
1. You can only 'clear' an item if it currently shows on your list *so you can't clear the Cobra until you list says Cobra*
2. The Clue only shows up once you hit a target point value. Based on my experience - the values seem to be around the following levels:
Scene 1 = 41,000 *Final prize at 42,000 points*
Scene 2 = 50,000 *Final prize at 54,000 points*
Scene 3 = 60,000 *Final prize at 66,000 points*
Scene 4 = 66,000 *Final prize at 78,000 points*
Scene 5 = 75,000 *Final prize at 90,000 points*
3. Some items will differ in how they look from scene to scene (ex. in one scene, the Vase is blue - in others, it's red - but still easily identifiable as a Vase)
4. All Items are in the same places for everyone and everyone has to find the same things (just not in the same order - so you might start by needing to find the Vase, Chest, Cobra, and Gemstones...I might start with Pick Axe, Cobra, Monkey, and Chest)
The notes aside - here's the 'Cheat Sheet' (I recommend memorizing what and where things are so that you can make sure you find items fast enough to get the additional time bonus):
Scene 1
Scene 2
Scene 3
Scene 4
Scene 5
*The Ancient Arch (the only one written in red) - has had its name changed to 'OLD CHEST'. Apologies I have not had time to update the image.
*Scene 5 is also the only scene where instead of being listed as CLUE - the final item has an actual name - it is unknown if this will change once the event goes live on this scene or the others before it
And one final treat - this is the final pop-up you will see after getting all 5 'clues':
*At present time, it is unknown if extra prizes means unlisted gifts or if it refers to gifts you have not yet gotten (for example - the Clues showed up between 1,000 to 15,000 points away from the final prize for each level depending on which scene you were on)

Like with almost any promotion - you don't need passes to participate, but by all calculations I've run...you can not complete* the T_ H_ without using Passes.
Click to display
By complete - I mean get all 5 peices of Amira's Tack, not all the prizes offered. Give me a few minutes and I'll post the calculations I came up with for how many passes it takes. (I need to fix a few errors on things i found out before I left on vacation)

And here's the promised calculation:
Click to display
*Please note - all numbers within are based on getting the Max. amount of points every day! They are also based on MY experience with the event - as such, there may be some errors.
First - some numbers:
Max. score per Timer = 1195
Max. score per Day = 9560 (8 timers earned per day x 1195 points)
Points needed to get the Clue for each scene. Upon getting the Clue - you will get a piece of Amira's Tack, and unlock the next scene:
*The numbers I am using are the level where they showed up for me (rounded for easy math).
Scene 1 = 41,000
Scene 2 = 50,000
Scene 3 = 60,000
Scene 4 = 66,000
Scene 5 = 75,000
So now - let's crunch some numbers
Now, on Preprod - the promotion was 14 days long. However, for this - our main calculation is going to stop at the 12th day - with the 13th day being when we use passes in addition to the free daily Timers. (the 14th day will not be used as it is not a full day - but if you can get on before the promotion ends...there is time for additional hunts)
So, knowing that we get a max of 9,560 points a day - and knowing the point values to get the clue and unlock the next scene:
Day - Scene - Points *timers used*
Day 1 - Scene 1 - 9,560 *8 timers*
Day 2 - Scene 1 - 19,120 *8 timers*
Day 3 - Scene 1 - 28,680 *8 timers*
Day 4 - Scene 1 - 38,240 *8 timers*
Day 5 - Scene 1 - 43,020 *4 timers used - gets us 4 free ones*
Day 5 - Scene 2 - 9,560 *8 timers (4 daily remaining + 4 prize timers)*
Day 6 - Scene 2 -19,120 *8 timers*
Day 7 - Scene 2 - 28,680 *8 timers*
Day 8 - Scene 2 - 38,240 *8 timers*
Day 9 - Scene 2 - 43,020 *8 timers*
Day 10 - Scene 2 - 50, 190 *6 timers*
Day 10 - Scene 3 - 2,390 *2 timers*
Day 11 - Scene 3 - 11,950 *8 timers*
Day 12 - Scene 3 - 21,510 *8 timers*
Day 13 - Scene 3 - 31,070 *8 timers*
So, by the 13th day - we are still about half-way away from having enough to get the Clue. It's now time to use Passes.
Timers are sold at the following rates:
1 pass = 2 timers
3 pass = 6 timers
5 pass = 12 timers
10 pass = 25 timers
20 pass = 55 timers
50 pass = 150 timers
Scene 3 takes 60,000 points to get the Clue - we have 31,070 points - this is a difference of 28,930 points.
*all numbers are rounded up
Now, using the max. score of 1,195 per timer:
28,930 / 1,195 = 25 timers
Now to complete Scenes 4 and 5
Scene 4's clue is at 66,000 points
Scene 5's clue is at 75,000 points
To get 66,000 points - we need 53 Timers *3 free timers are gotten from this puzzle before the clue shows*
To get 75,000 points - we need 63 Timers
This is a total of 141 additional timers (53 + 63 + 25)
The best price for 141 Timers is 50 Passes (get us 150 Timers - so you have 9 timers left over to go back and try for other prizes).
If we bring in the 14th day - you might be able to save a few passes...but as it stands, expect this event to require at least 50 passes.
*Note; I was not around for some of the last days of Preprod - as such, I do not know if there was a 'double timers' event, or any other way Timers were offered. As such, these numbers do NOT take into account any sort of 'bonus timer' event and are based only off the base data of the promotion.
In addition - this is based off MY experience. Others might have gotten different results - so this is intended more as a generic guide as opposed to some concrete facts about what to expect.

I agree. I don't have the money to do all the scenes. I might not even make it to the second scene.

Not really;
Click to display
The hardest time I had with the event as a whole was finding the items the first few times playing a scene and making sure I knew what was on my list to find. However, after about the 3rd or 4th time, it becomes second nature and one can quickly find everything (I averaged about 8 - 10 seconds total to complete a scene once I knew where things were and how it worked).
The faster you can find everything - the more points you earn. The more points you earn - the faster you'll move through scenes.

The T H is something new, so I'm looking forward to it. Not sure if it will like working on my tablet though. I shall have to wait and see!
But I'm not a fan of A.....a though so not spending passes on this one.
Is there a list of prizes we can get on each scene? Because I found I got a prize when getting max points from a timer but just couldn't find a pattern in how they were given.

It worked on my Smart Phone - but it is difficult as the screen is much smaller (so I don't see it being any different on a Tablet - though I did need to be in Classic View for it)
As for prizes; here's the list
Click to display
The italic number is how many points you need before gaining that prize
The bold number in the white square is what Scene that prize is found in
Note that each scene starts at 0 points...So while you might 'complete' scene 1 with 42,000 points - those points will not carry over to Scene 2 (you'll start at 0 on Scene 2)

Even with the timer bonus it will still take ~30 passes to complete the promo based on ShorahNagi's calculations then, right?
That's quite steep.
If you count up the value of the prizes (excluding the Legendary tack set and items that don't sell for passes in the BM), we won't even come close to breaking even in terms of passes spent either.
Also, I find it odd that the new breed is offered as a prize on a scene that can't be reached without buying timers... A new breed could almost be seen as a consolation prize for the people who work hard at a promo but who can't spend passes on it for what ever reason, so it seems strange to me that it would be put out of reach of many players.
I wonder if that was intentional or if the designers actually wanted to make the breed reachable without passes but overestimated the rate at which players will make progress.
