where is the snow ball fight? I thought that was supposed to be taking place Click to display We don't know. It could start on Thursday or maybe next week. Also this needs to stay in a spoiler as it isn't common knowledge. |
Not sure if this has been posted yet. But found this on the changes log on prepod.
Click to display You have been waiting for them for a long time: teams of horses with traits and donkeys have finally arrived! The teams of draft horses and donkeys operate on the same principle as teams of horses and unicorns. So you can raise donkeys and horses with your friends and enjoy the features of the teams, such as horse loan, team mates, team forum, common affix, Team, etc. Tip: Discover the features of the teams in detail in the Help Guide Rating and rating: The scoring of the farms is left out for now, but donkeys and draft horses have been added to the team ranking page. As for unicorns, the Flots and Grand Prix rankings do not appear for donkeys and draft horses. The teams of draft horses and donkeys therefore retain the following rankings: Prestige Genetic potential Births Specificity of donkeys: We take this opportunity to remind you that the purpose of donkeys is to decrease their genetic potential, rather than to increase it. Thus, the Genetic Potential ranking is reversed compared to other species: teams with the lowest genetic potential are displayed first. Tip: You can create a team if you subscribe to the VIP account. Go to the subscription page for more information.

Reguarding the divine
Click to display The horses of the Plant Kingdom are divine horses. Each represents a type of vegetable. Their skills increase depending on the Droppings you give them and the season. After a certain skill level, you are then able to prune them to receive a prize. When you've collected all 7 of each different Plant Kingdom horse, you will receive the final horse in the series: Lotis! Divine Plant Kingdom horses cannot die, be sold or appear in rankings. They cannot: breed, be customized, enter the Grand Prix, be aged manually. They do not count towards the prestige of the equestrian center in which they are boarded. Once a day they can enter competitions open to all horses, as well as competitions for divine, wild and legendary horses provided they have enough energy to do so.\ Liana is one of the Plant Kingdom horses. She can be watered instead of drinking. This horse's skills increase when you give them Droppings. The skills increase depends on the amount of Droppings the horse is given, as well as the season in the game. When she reaches 1200 skill points, she can be pruned. Her skills will then be reset to 0, but she'll give you 1 x rayonheliosHelios' Rays! This mare cannot be sold.

I honestly don't see the point in the new
Click to display draft and donkey teams. They can only breed 3 times each, so it doesn't make too much sense, at least not to me.

Click to display its more of a challenge, normal horses can be bred as many times as possible but because drafts and donkeys can only be bred 3 times raising GP is more challenging and people love a good challenge, and it makes it more fun too

Click to display its more of a challenge, normal horses can be bred as many times as possible but because drafts and donkeys can only be bred 3 times raising GP is more challenging and people love a good challenge, and it makes it more fun too Click to display While I can understand that, I don't see the necessity in having a formal team to accomplish that. Just my take on it.

I honestly don't see the point in the new Click to display draft and donkey teams. They can only breed 3 times each, so it doesn't make too much sense, at least not to me. Being on a team makes it easier to coordinate everything. Plus, the team rankings give a more firm recognition of the work players have put into their breeding and allow people interested in competitive breeding to see exactly how they compare to rival teams (not to mention the prizes teams can get for being top of the rankings).

Click to display All of which is important for worthwhile breeds and worthwhile endeavors. I don't think that either draft breeds nor donkeys are worthwhile investments, so therefore adding the team feature for them is, to me, completely pointless. Especially when there are far more important and beneficial things that could have been worked on in this time. Just my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own.

Click to display Donkey teams are actually something people have been asking for for a while now, and while drafts are relatively new, no doubt dedicated draft breeders want similar recognition. Personally I am glad to Howrse introducing something players want and have been asking for, even if it is not a feature I am likely to use, because it shows that they do listen to us sometimes. If they were going to stop doing anything to make time for more beneficial developments, I would rather they stopped making new divines and dedicated that time to fixing the divine comp problem or something similar instead - we have more than enough divines and there is a lot they could be doing instead of making more. Arguably, only handful of the breeds on Howrse are worthwhile, as only a handful have the best skill ratios for rosettes and Grand Prix competing, or make good EC boosters. If all new (breeding related) features revolved around those breeds, things would get boring and restrictive quickly. Only a small proportion of players are interested in competitive breeding at the top level - a lot of players prefer the more relaxed approach that comes with aiming for the top position of a less popular (and therefore 'worthwhile') breed, which is much more achievable for many than breeding skillers and trying to compete against teams like Dauntless and Inferno.

Do you know when this change would come about? Pre-prod is open through January 16th, so probably some time in the middle to end of next month

Does anyone know when the next promo will start? Thanks in advance

About the next promo...
Click to display I wonder if Liana the divine and "the Plant Kingdom" is the start of the rumoured new pass system. Isn't that supposed to be a tree divine as well?

About the next promo... Click to display I wonder if Liana the divine and "the Plant Kingdom" is the start of the rumoured new pass system. Isn't that supposed to be a tree divine as well? There was speculation about this due to the similar looks, but it's unlikely as Click to display Yggdrasil is not able to increase its skills like the Plant Kingdom horses will be able to. Yggdrasil also has his own separate trophy you gain more of my sending old horses to heaven and he gives you no gift I use "unlikely" as who knows if Howrse will decide to completely change things up when they release Yggdrasil here and turn him into a Plant divine or something. But as it stands, he is not part of the upcoming set. .

I honestly don't see the point in the new Click to display draft and donkey teams. They can only breed 3 times each, so it doesn't make too much sense, at least not to me. If you have an Isis and Hera's Pack you can get extra foals, although I haven't tried to do it with donkeys. I have no idea how to decrease donkeys so I just got one of each color and they wait around until needed for an objective or something.

(In addition to last message) Also you earn double from missions which means when skilling a draft horse you win twice as many mission skill points. Which is, I believe, an additional 357 skiils max

Question about the new Y___ divine...
Click to display Correct me if I'm wrong, but Yggdrasil will grow when we send a horse over 25 to heaven now, right? (lowering the pass horse age to 25 from 30) |
Question about the new Y___ divine... Click to display Correct me if I'm wrong, but Yggdrasil will grow when we send a horse over 25 to heaven now, right? (lowering the pass horse age to 25 from 30) Yes, you will get Click to display tree rings - the things used to age Yggdrasil - by sending horses that die aged 25+ to heaven. It will not be lowering the pass horse age, though, because pass horses will be removed from the game completely at the same time as Yggdrasil is introduced. Yggdrasil and the new "horses sent to heaven" rankings are the use old horses will be given in place of them giving a pass. The pass system will be replaced by a points meter that works similarly to the current Loyal Player Pass, but the meter will go to 30 points instead of 300, and can (provided you get 10 points each day) give up to 10 passes a month.
