My Real Horses:
Our oldest just turned 30 as of 2020 (yes, we're very proud of him). He is a sorrel Quarter Horse who comes from Man O' War's bloodline. His spirit is very high, but his bad feet have never given him the grace to compete. Instead, he has been our family horse since my mother bought him when he was still unborn. He stands about 14'3".
My personal horse (set as my profile picture) is a "rescued" grey/roan Quarter Horse. He will be turning 8 this year (2020). When I bought him when he was 4, he was an underweight, defensive kicker, and he didn't care much for people. However, through hard work, and 3 years of pure ground-play to build trust and a relationship, he has come out of his shell and become a very sweet boy. He can be spirited on the right day, sometimes he even runs around the pasture with our Fjord and goes out of his way to jump fallen logs and short bushes, but mostly he spends his time sleeping flat out in the sun (I think he enjoys feeling free considering his previous situation, which I will not go into depth about). He stands around 15'.
Our youngest, a Fjord, is just 3 years old. He is probably the most sweet horse I've had the pleasure of being around. He is mostly calm, but is more spirited than usual for a Fjord. He is very curious, and is always in my pocket when I'm cleaning the pastures. He stands close to 15' (which is large for his breed).
I love them all dearly, and they are all very loving horses. Not a one of them has any second thoughts about shoving their nose in a halter when I go out in the pasture to catch them, and they all love being doted on.
