Welcome to Horseology!
Horseology is a not-for-profit horse and donkey rescue. Horseology provides sanctuary for any unwanted horses, and aims to be an alternative for Howrse's safe haven.

Surrenders:
If you have a horse that you would like to surrender, please message Horseology or simply put it in a direct sale for Horseology to purchase. Direct sales are checked daily and all horses are purchased for different prices. Please message Horseology for a quote on how much can be offered for your horse.

Adoptions:
Horseology rescues are almost all available for adoption. For adoptions fee, message Horseology. Most rescue horses tend to be inexpensive, and the fee money is put towards food and lodging for the other rescue horses. All adopters get their profile posted on the Horseology page along with a picture of the horse they adopted.

Stallions/Geldings:
Male horses over the age of 5 years are castrated to prevent the further breeding of unwanted horses. Most stallions are not available for adoption until they are castrated, but exceptions are sometimes made. If interest is shown in a male horse younger than 5, castration may be performed sooner. If interested in adopting a stallion, message Horseology for further information.

Breeding:
Horses are never purposely bred at Horseology. If any horses are born here it is because they have arrived already impregnated. Male foals will be castrated and mares are not bred here. Horseology discourages the breeding of rescue mares.

Competition Rescues:
The competition rescue horses are horses that have been rescued and trained for mild competing. They typically are not the best competition horses.

Training Rescues:
Training rescues are in the process of being trained in attempt to turn them into competition horses. The aim behind training rescues, that typically do not have great genetic potential, is to prove that rescues horses can also be fun horses to own.

Leases:
Most rescue horses are available for lease. If you have interest in leasing a horse please message Horseology for more information. The purpose of leasing a horse:
- To help the rescue care for the horses (Foster homes)
- Training future competition horses
- Trying a horse out before adoption
- Holding pregnant rescue horses until they foal
- Showing competition horses
