Since some people seem to care about this I just want to say that I'm a non-pass buyer. Yes, I have VIP status sometimes (I believe because of a past ranking I held) but I always have to earn every single pass that I sink into affording that subscription. Just wanted to say it is possible to be good without spending money but it did take me years to achieve.
