Hello! I'm a college student who's been playing howrse for several years and like almost everyone else, I played when I was a kid and had to restart when I was old enough to understand everything!
I'm currently raising Criollos and trying to be competitive and earn rosettes with my horses. I'm also trying to slowly accumulate a collection of retired golden apples!
I ride horses in real life, mostly quarters and paints. I have three personal horses, as well as riding and caring for my dad's two horses and my grandpas horse. I also train horses for the public, starting colts and training them for team roping! My main event that I compete in is team roping as well.
Apologies in advance for the awkward sizing of my pictures, I haven't figured out how to adjust them yet lol
My horses:
Harlan's Diamond Dude
"Wrangler" is a twelve year old, 16 hand, palomino Quarter Horse gelding. Wrang was the first horse to wear my Cursive DM Brand and he is a jack of all trades. He is a 1-2D barrel horse, solid head and heel horse, he runs 20-21 second poles (When I can hold on anyways,) and he also ropes breakaway! Wrangler was the horse I rode for most of my college rodeos the year I competed. He is Harlan and Hancock bred. Hancock was a half Percheron and half quarter horse stallion, who was bred with the hopes that he would inherit his fathers speed and his mothers toughness. The stallion was said to be blazing fast, but he would lose all four shoes before he could finish a race. The Percheron cross made the horses super strong and hardy and retained their athleticism, but many of them had a tendency to buck. These horses were ideal for ranch work, as they were tough enough to work all day without tiring. Harlan was a halter horse, and he was know to be a great broodmare producer, giving his foals a good mind and cow sense.
Belle Starr
"Belle" is four and she is my heel horse that I use most often. At a whopping 13.3 hands, my friends call her my super Shetland, even though shes a full blood quarter horse. Shes a chocolate buckskin and is the sassiest little horse I own. Her bloodlines are foundation quarter horse breeding, going back to Bert and Oklahoma Star. She was line bred for the stallion Lucky Star Mac. He was an awarded cutting horse, and has bee referred to as one of the greatest cutters to have existed. Her bloodlines trace back to a ranch that was run by a good friend of my grandfathers before he passed. My grandpa said that gentleman raised some of the best horses he ever rode.
Stylin Like Me
"Holly" is a black and white medicine hat paint. She is currently 14.2 hands and growing. She's a two year old, and I have trained her myself from the ground up. She was raised by a family friend, and is a great granddaughter of the great Colonel Freckles.
My Families Horses:
Stylin Doc Quincy
"Blackie" is a twelve year old solid black paint gelding. He stands 15.1. He is Holly's full uncle, with his full sister being her mother. He has been used by professional ropers and he is phenomenal for heading, heeling and breakaway, and I am currently training him on barrels as well. He belongs to my dad.
Joe Id Watch
"Joe" is thirteen, and he belongs to my grandpa. Joe si 15.2 hands tall, and could drag a house if he wanted to. He is a grandson of Watch Joe Jack, which makes him a great grandson of the legendary Two Eyed Jack. Hes a massive strawberry roan, and turns heads everywhere. He is a phenomenal heel horse, and occasionally likes to surprise people with how good he is to head on as well. Joe was raised on the Pitzer Ranch.
Freckled Jackpot
Last but not least, "Jack"! Jack is a two year old stud prospect, and as flashy as they come. He is a MASSIVE 15.1 hands and we think he will be around 16 hands tall when he finishes growing. He is dual registered with AQHA and APHA. He is a beautiful red roan with a flaxen mane and tail, as well as four white feet and a bald face, with spots on his belly. He is a grandson of Colonel Freckles on his mothers side, and a great grandson as well on the sire side. He is Holly's half brother on the sire's side.
