To everyone reading this - after nine years of playing on Howrse, I am taking a break with the potential of quitting. As I've gotten older, my real life has become more and more busy and Howrse began to feel like a daily chore. I do not currently have the time to log on regularly and if I didn't have so much built up on this account, I would probably quit sooner. Until I officially make that decision, I will try to log on every once and while, but don't be surprised if my game starts to deteriorate due to inactivity. Thank you to everyone I've met and worked with on this game.

Rant about the old Howrse-
To be honest, the new horses, the new tack, everything, I liked Howrse the way it was. Now the beautiful horses like Gypsies and Friesians look kinda... not pretty. And do we really need the extra tack? Polo wraps? Ear bonnets? Howrse was perfectly fine, and usually I get used to small changes like taking away the salt block or taking away pets, but editing the horses? I liked the way the looked.
What about karma points? Why do I only have ten? Why do I have the same amount as someone who joined yesterday? Why is there even a maximum? Remember when they went up with your seniority? Remember when no one had a Pegasus or VIP account, simply because it didn't exist? Why?
Remember the time before draft horses? Before you could make a unicorn a pegasus? When everyone suggested new divines in the fourm, and only a few were chosen? Before "The Great Challenge"? The objectives? The trophies only being available to those who completed the objectives? Before rosettes? Before showers in ECs? When Ow always said that the EC reserve and your personal reserve are separate? Remember the zebras and dogs? Choosing whether to put your horse in the box or meadow for the night depending on the temperature? Playing with the companions? Being able to put your horse in the meadow or box for the day? Before being able to "collect supplies" like iron, sand, and wood? Before having to repair boxes with supplies and being able to "farm cows"? Before the feed trough and water trough? Before having workshops? Before having multiple Howrse servers? Remember when we had to take tests based on seniority to be able to have a job? Remember being able to get a job and hire people like farriers, saddlers, groomers, and instructors, while all you had to do is pay their salary, which the EC owner basically got to choose? Where the higher level of job meant more money, so no one wanted to be a groomer? Before the "breeder's privilege"? Before breeding teams with team affixes? Before the insanely high boarding prices?
