About Me Hey all. I'm Jocelyn, known here on Howrse as BreyerNut. I've been actively playing for about four years now. I'm a teenage player who's been horseback riding for a few years - I am unable to own or lease unfortunately due to the ridiculously high price of board and general horse expenses here in New England, but I ride lesson horses weekly. My favorite breeds are Friesians, Standardbreds, Saddlebreds, and drafts in general/draft crosses. Besides riding, I am also a huge music addict - I'm an avid CD and vinyl record collector. My favorite music is alternative, rock, post-punk, indie, and goth, and some of my favorite bands are The Cure, Radiohead, Joy Division, Bauhaus, The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, New Order, Oasis, Blur, The Smiths, and David Bowie, among many others. If you'd like to chat music, don't be afraid to drop me a PM. Despite my "dark" nature, though, I enjoy some other very light-hearted hobbies, including model horse and My Little Pony collecting. I'm a huge addict of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series and almost all of the other MLP series as well, especially My Little Pony Tales. I'm not a fan of labels, but I could be classified as somewhat of a goth. I'm an atheist, and don't appreciate trying to be swayed otherwise. Finally, I'm a bit artsy. I enjoy doodling (I'm not the greatest at all) and I spend a lot of time doing horse photomanipulations, which often take hours at a time. I have a deviantART where I post most of my work (find me as MLPTalesNut.) I may or may not get into graphics making, but I still have to decide if the time I put into my work would be worth a fair amount of equus. |
My Game **NONE OF MY HORSES ARE FOR SALE UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED** Here on Howrse Int'l, I am focusing on breeding Friesians under my Bloodflower Friesian breeding farm and Marwaris under my Horrorshow Marwari breeding farm. I try to obtain skillers, but I'm not usually quick (or rich!) enough to make it to the top. I'm just here for fun, not really for competition. I have also recently started collecting Golden Apple horses, and will buy any GA horses you no longer want for the right price. I don't believe in the whole "SAFE HAVEN RESCUE" thing - remember, guys... these are pixels. This is just ridiculous. A lot of times we have horses that no one will buy and we need an extra 400e... so off they go. No big deal. I very rarely have horses for sale, and I will not sell horses that aren't listed for sale, so please don't ask. It really gets on my nerves. I also don't accept random friend requests, because I believe friendship is something that is earned, not given. As I said earlier, though, please don't send me random "HI" messages unless you have something I'd truly be interested in talking about. DO NOT ask me if my Archimedes is for sale. He was a gift from a friend of mine who quit and he will be staying with me for as long as I'm playing this game. Once again, NONE of my horses are for sale unless they have the for sale 'mallet' icon. One last thing - please don't PM me asking for items, horses, congratulations, to board my Archimedes at your EC, and the like. If you beg, then I definitely won't give you anything. I encourage everyone to just try their hardest on their game and not beg to try to get to the top! Sorry if it seems like I'm a bit tempermental... but I just have a somewhat long list of what I don't appreciate. hahaha. |
Breeding Bloodflower Friesian
Bloodflower Friesian is now defunct aside from a few golden apple horses I will be keeping. Horrorshow Marwari Horrorshow is my second breeding farm I established, started in late 2010. Here, I raise and train an assortment of Marwari mares, stallions, and geldings of varying GPs, usually mid to high 20* range and eventually above. Currently my only competition horse in the bunch is my 22* stallion Collapse Into Dream, who is BLUPped but not yet bolded, and finisheg rides while competing. He has yet to be bred, but I may let him stud to the public if desired. I will likely breed him to my only current mare She is the New Thing when she has reached her full potential.
The Fabulous Killjoys The Fabulous Killjoys was established for my desire to own and breed a few high-starred (42*+) and skiller PSHs. Named for the current alter-egos of My Chemical Romance, these horses are bred mainly for competiton work, but I actually have been doing a bit of breeding lately. My main mare and farm starter Our Lady of Sorrows has produced three foals so far, one of which being Switchblade Fights, my first foal I've bred to earn over 1000 skills and is still gaining. My twins Drowning Lessons and Bulletproof Heart are the first foals I have bred with 1000+ GP. Both are currently beginning training. Some of my stallions may be available for breeding; don't hesitate to ask. Most are high-GP 44*s with a 43* or two mixed in.
Hail to the Thief Hail to the Thief is a breeding farm in its very beginning stages, named for Radiohead's album of the same name. After deciding I needed a pony or two among my vast amount of horses, I bought my first Newfie, A Wolf at the Door, with 24 stars. He is still young and in training, but will hopefully shape up to be a nice competitive stallion. Soon after I purchased a second 27* stallion, Climbing Up the Walls, who has finished training and is beginning competitions. I am currently on the hunt for a 25*+ mare to train up to be a potential dam for a foal from A Wolf at the Door and/or Climbing Up the Walls. It is still undecided whether or not they will be available for public stud once fully trained. |
