These are the beautiful Malvern Hills in Worcestershire UK where I grew up and rode all my ponies and horses. I started on ponies - a gentle old Shetland called Tigger then 2 grey Welsh Mountain ponies Olwyn and Cawdor Meg and a black New Forest called Limbo who I went to Pony Club camp with. Then I had Cherry Pie a fleabitten grey Anglo Arab mare and Verity a dark skewbald TB x hunter who I helped break in and rode all over the Malvern Hills. Finally came Holly a bright bay TBxWelsh Cob with impeccable manners whose background included endurance competitions so we enjoyed many long rides as she never got tired! She came to me in the most unusual way. I had moved away from home but went back to see my dentist. Popped down to the nearby stables where Gill a renowned endurance rider kept her horses and she offered me a ride on Holly. I loved her and ended up buying her!
