How to set an automated purchase to pick up 350 foundies? Would setting a birth year help at all?

You technically can't, because there is no search filter to bring up foundations.

The best you can do is set the search to purebred, and GP less than 352 ("original" foundations had between 350-351.2 GP).

But since there are loads of non-foundations listed in the sales that also fit those parameters, you still need to check the parentage the ensure you're buying a foundation. You can't check the parentage with the filters, which means an automated purchase can't pick it up either, because that is set according to the search filters you've input. If you set up an auto purchase, you're likely to pick up lots of non-foundations

A birth year would not guarantee foundations either, because you'll still have horses from that era (especially 0 GP project horses) with similar GP. It'll help narrow your search, but you still have to manually check the parentage for Ouranos and Gaia
I don't think there's a way to guarantee they will be foundies. But I think you can do purebred and GP under 352. If you only want 350 do 350. but most people include the ones that go up to 351.2 as original foundie types. which was the max before they started upping the foundie GP. and make sure to not include donkeys. again you can't guarantee it will be foundies. but most will be.
I just tested this to see what would happen.
few issues I found:
1. no way to eliminate donkeys. so you'd have to do one for riding horses and one for ponies.
2. with riding horses a lot of the Falabella family divines popped up.
3. with the ponies noticed a lot of ponies (quilin in the line) with GPs less than 300.
there's tons of 350-351.2 foundies in the sales. just no way to filter just for them (being able to has been suggested a LOT). They are really expensive.
