Hey there! I've just been waiting for someone to ask this question lol. Sorry in advance for how long this might be...

I started out with jumping lessons. They were amazing! I would soar through the sky on my trusty gelding, Jackson. However, there was an accident... I was jumping 3'3 at this point, and I was ready to show finally. But God had other plans. As I went over the jump, my body froze. Jackson felt this change in my body, and got in his head. His front right leg caught on the oxer, and down we went.
We tumbled head first, and he did a somersault, throwing me underneath his body. He was miraculously, perfectly healthy and sound. Me on the other hand... I broke 3 ribs on each side, both my wrists, and fractured 2 vertebrae in my back. It took months to get me back to top shape, and after that, I decided to not QUIT jumping, but to move on to something a little more, safe, per se.

Then there was Dressage. Poetry in motion. DO NOT be fooled at how hard it can be. Yes, I will admit it is quite hard, but DO NOT QUIT! It's extremely rewarding in the long run. *Sorry I had to get that out lol*
Dressage lessons were fun! ...haha for the first few weeks. It started with learning how to do a proper english canter. On my LAZY lesson pony, Paisley, I had no idea how to get a forward, in the bridle, rocking-horse, kind of canter. Eventually, I got it. And like all equestrians in some point of their journey, there were times when I wanted to give up. There were weeks when I didn't even show up for my lessons. There were times when I doubted myself SO HARD, I donated all my breeches... only to have to buy them back at full price again lol. During my journey, me and my new pony, moved barns, and got a completely different trainer. He made riding worth it. He taught be the basics, and got me to where I am now. (3rd lvl)

Sadly, a few winters ago, I had to give up my dressage life. Not for a traumatic experience, or a horrible injury, but for my horse. My horse was getting old, and after years of showing and 1000s of ribbons won, his joints were giving up. I decided to move him to something a little easier. Western Pleasure and Dressage. We competed for the last years of his riding days, and even won a championship! Do I still miss my Dressage Days? Yes. Yes, I do a lot. But I know that once I get another pony, even if I had to give up on my other one, dressage is here to stay. I miss performing shoulder in, leg yields, baby half passes, shining in the spotlight in front of the judges. That was me.

Ahem, so the answer is, I would do Dressage. Again, I AM SO SORRY for how long that was default smiley :(
I hoped you enjoyed!
