I pronounce it Shley, but I suppose that's incorrect now that you say that bonnie :P
By Retired breeder, 3rd June 2016 13:41:28
Yeah, I say it like Sh-Like.
By Retired breeder, 3rd June 2016 13:49:27
Thanks drums!

I pronounce it schleich with a soft ch. In Germany one part says soft ch and the other hard ch. My dad lived and was born in Germany, and says it both way. Although the company does say it shlike.
By Retired breeder, 3rd June 2016 15:43:44
i pronounce it like sh-likedefault smiley (lol)

also Lucky Horseshoe Stables sells really realistic tack for really cheep.i love her stuff.
By Retired breeder, 3rd June 2016 15:43:56
I say it shlike. If it were English, I think it would technically be said skleek, or skleech. But it's not English.
By Retired breeder, 3rd June 2016 16:10:11
Ya, Schleich about a year or two ago got bought up by a French company, so maybe their pronounciation changed with that.
By Retired breeder, 3rd June 2016 18:03:54
I pronounce it like sleeeech. I know many people pronounce it differently, but that's just how I say it.
By Retired breeder, 3rd June 2016 18:42:56
Ya, there could be several translations. So, I saw the Motor City Classics 1:18 scale horse trailer in blue and I love it, but It is just a tad smaller than schleich, although many schleich can still fit in it. It is only starting at $20, should I bid?
By Retired breeder, 3rd June 2016 18:47:31
It should be bigger than Schleich. I thought Schleich were like 1:22.
I have saved loads of my money for these horses and have all three types of stable, both types of fencing, almost all sets of riders (2x dressage rider, jumper, lunging, vaulting, hacking grey/pick, 2x purple girls, western), all jumps, wash area, about 200 horses I think and know all the breeds and genders and foals but there are too many to list, trailer and truck, rugs and halters (always need more though!), apples and carrots, 6x bales, barrow and fork, helpers x6, rabbits x8, rabbit hutch and fence, 4x cows and 3x calves, lamb, pig, fox, deer, fawn, 5x fairies and horses, 4x dogs and one puppy, 3x cats.

I do love them to bits though!!!! Bought a lot second hand but all well looked after.
