Any ideas on how to make a grazing muzzle?
By Retired breeder, 17th March 2016 11:41:30
I would just make a halter, then add more, kinda woven in, strands of ribbon to make a little basket shape. Or, if you prefer, tulle could be used with a plain halter.

Cool! Yeah you have to have the water like BOILING for it to really stay. I tried once to reposition two foals, their heads are now ever so slightly turned, but not as much as a wanted and their legs wouldn't stay. I'm going to retry one of them, though.
I'll remember that. I microwaved my water for two minutes and kept on reheating it.

Any suggestions for the type of paint? This is the pic I'm using as a model:

I did a custom (well, am still working on one XD.... Been procrastinating on doing the right side) with a sort of similar coat pattern and just used acrylicsdefault smiley :)!

Acrylics. Then, if you like, you can add gloss or chalk pastels to give it more detail, and mod podge or the likes to seal it.
Awesome job with your writing competition, Val! default smiley :)

Fun fun! Are you resculpting him?
By Retired breeder, 18th March 2016 11:43:23
Yes, i am thinking of straightening his head ( if i can) so he is looking straight ahead not to the side.

I need my mom to cool the leg and tail pieces I made for my breyer bodies, because I want to test if I can fix them with plaster putty. And maybe some glue and wire so that it doesn't break. But IF it works, I can resculpt whatever horses I want! Sadly, it's not really clay, so it'd be pretty hard to do a mane. I'd have to lay down a blob of clay, let it harden, then sand it to shape. Oh well, the busy season for swimming is nearly over, maybe then my mom will bake them. And maybe soon I can start riding lessons at a new barn! Yay!
Okay, so acrylics. Good to know. Also, do you guys used oil cloth when you make saddles or something else? I don't remember if that is exactly what it's called, but I was referred to using it on the schleich scale because it wasn't so fragile and would look and feel like leather.

Yikes. That's why I'm glad I don't go to public school. I think I'd fail math. And if I did my geography book in school, I might fail that too default smiley xd

Yeah I don't think it used to be, but I think schools (at least the one near me is) are switching to it now, because ABCDE just makes sense.

I'm bored. Any craft ideas?
By Retired breeder, 18th March 2016 23:05:19
I'm glad I don't go to public school, I used to, it's like prison there omg. I am however studying for my drivers license, whoohoo!

I may or may not reprint my Falabella gelding. I dunno, the thought crossed my mind and sounded fun, but unless I'm super bored it probably won't happen. XD
By Retired breeder, 18th March 2016 23:06:01
repaint, not reprint, omg. I don't think you can print on a model, unless you want to fame your printer default smiley xd
