[Known Issue][May 2025] Ongoing Performance Issues

Thank you to everyone who has reported issues within the game after the maintenance yesterday.

We would like to assure you that we're working to resolve these issues as soon as possible and ask for your continued patience while we continue investigating and applying fixes to the game.

I've listed a few of the most common issues below:
- Game lag,
- Game slowness,
- Delay in receiving password reset emails,
- Delay in receiving verification emails,
- Horse competitions becoming stuck "In progress"

Please know that the above list is not exclusive and is only the most frequent issues being encountered by our players.

Here is a new update on the current situation after the migration:

↪ Emails issue: Good news, the game is finally able to send out emails to almost everyone!
We are still having issues with Yahoo email addresses. The team is on it, but the rest is fine. You should now be able to confirm your email address or reset your password, for example. Please remember to check your spam folders if you haven't received an email in your inbox.

↪ Missing payment methods: The team is still working on getting Xsolla back as soon as possible. However, right now, we cannot guarantee that it will happen before the end of May Packs, unfortunately. Paysafe should arrive even later. We know how inconvenient it can be for some of you, and we are really sorry about that! Rest assured that the team is doing its best.

↪ Global compensation: We're still on it! The detailed amount and content will be finalized by the end of the week. Hopefully, we will be able to send it out next week.

↪ Test servers: The team is still working on it, hopefully they can reopen next week.

The team is also working on other issues, which are less visible to you, affecting our internal tools.

Step by step, things are getting back to normal.

↪ Test servers: Still work in progress and our #1 priority this week since we need to test features for the next update. We hope to be back up and running by the end of the week, but nothing is set in stone.

↪ Missing payment methods: We are still working on getting Xsolla back up. We know how inconvenient it can be for some of you, especially since May Packs are ending tomorrow. We are really sorry about that! Sadly, we can't guarantee it will be back up before the end of the week.

↪ Global compensation: We are still working on the final details. It will include a variety of items and resources to thank you for your patience during the bumpy migrations.

↪ Performance issues: We noticed an increasing number of reports signaling frequent blank pages, maintenance pages, and other display issues. It seems to affect multiple versions. We are investigating a bit deeper and will provide you with an update next time.

Here is an update on the current situation after the migration.

↪ Performance issues: We are aware that there are still some performance issues, affecting the French servers in particular and also the other versions. This is being investigated as a priority. However, the team still has some difficulties finding the origin of the issues. The metrics we have on our side don't reveal any performance issues, unfortunately.

To help the investigation, we could use more information regarding the issues you encounter:
• On what version?
• If there are specific times you are having issues?
• On what specific pages of the game?
• Screenshots could help as well.

Please share this information with us.

↪ Test servers: The test servers are back up and running (but only for FR, DE, and INT at the moment).

↪ Email issue: Emails should be working for everyone now (but might still land in your Spam folder). Please send a ticket to Support if you still aren't receiving emails.

↪ Missing payment methods: Xsolla is back now and should give you plenty of additional payment options. There is no update regarding Paysafe at the moment, as it isn't our priority.

↪ Global compensation: We're still on it, the detailed amount and content have been finalized. The developers will code the script when there is enough bandwidth - hopefully this week, but there is no guarantee.

There are also other issues the team is working on in the background, but things are progressively getting back to normal.

I bought a pack a couple of weeks ago that came with 1 month VIP status. I wish I hadn't spent the money on it as the game has been working so poorly lately.

General rankings haven't updated in at least a week for me - which is something I normally love keeping track of.

The lagging/slowness hasn't been horrible for me, but it's definitely noticeable.

My EC competitions are now set to run once every 1-4 hours depending on the race, but they run less frequently than when they were set to once daily even though I use fillers.

Ascent of Olympus seems almost impossible to win this time around. I know it's a game of chance, but it seems like the chance of winning has been reduced to 1% or less.

I know the game normally works much better than this, but it's especially frustrating when you spend real money on this game and things like this happen.

Births still not being credited to my team.
If they don't fix this before the end of the month, my team won't even rate for the month.

The quote button is missing for me at the moment on my tablet as posts aren't displaying properly but, if your team births aren't registering, it's likely nobody else's are either so it may not be as big a problem as you expect. Cold comfort though.

So I'm not the only one getting white screen?
I thought it was my wifi acting up but then I went on mobile version on mobile data.
It lags and shows a white screen like loading but nothing happens, I even tried to reset page multiple times and it just shows the same and then finally gets me in the game.
I did daily objectives (missions with horses) and it shows as if I didn't do even one but when I look at the horse it shows I did mission.
I don't get why but it just started to lag now.
An hour before and thruout the day it was all alright and now it's lagging so much.
Do we all have this or is it just my acc/wifi acting out?

I've been dealing with the same issue. When I try to load a new page, I keep getting met with a white screen most times, and reloading the page often does nothing to fix it. Even making my way over here to the forums was rather difficult, but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing this at least.

I am having issues still.

- White screen / pages not loading
- Verification e-mail not being received (help?! I wan't to buy passes?!?!)
- "Allow cookies" keeps showing up and won't let me log in. It is saying I have been inactive for too long. I was able to use my mobile and send a link to my laptop and it works with that link.. but the normal "howrse.com" link is broken (for me).

Hello,

I have a black screen on my tablet in the classic version. Sales aren't working, and sometimes I can't buy a horse!
UFOs flew by, and after three of them, it said, "Oh, something must have flown by," and a fourth UFO simply disappeared into nowhere after I clicked on it.

At first, I thought my tablet was acting up, or my Wi-Fi connection was broken. But I'm reading here that other users are also affected!

I can't do anything on the app. It keeps saying error and won't load. I restarted my phone and cleared the cache, but it still didn't work.

I went on the website and mobile version, and it kept going to a white screen. I switched to the classic version and finally I am able to at least get here to post this. But even on the classic version there's bad lag and I'm constantly having to refresh the page cause it stops loading and goes blank.

I entered my horses in the Monday Prix only to find out that they were never entered. Now I'm going to lose my water fountain!!

i have likewise joined the whitescreen club. lots of back arrow and refresh just to navigate pages.

This is the first time I have been able to even login today. It kept being just a blank screen or wouldn't even login at all.

Joining the white screen crew, especially if I have to refresh because a care button disappeared. Takes multiple refreshes to get through and the my horses tab seems to get stuck on loading. Some pages aren't loading completely either.

It's also beginning to intervene with the event (won't use up an energy bar despite clicking on the enemy, just sits there and flashes the energy that would be used)

One of my reindeer can't enter comps. Just the one, all others are running fine...for now.

Oh, and emojis are broken.

Started off the day not even knowing that there were ongoing issues with the game from the maintenance and it has just gotten progressively worse until now the game is essentially unplayable. I'm in a weird spot because I managed to do about half of what I needed to but it would take hours for me to finish now if I was even able to.
This is kind of disappointing for a long time player to see. Why does it seem like issues now take so long to resolve and why is it radio silence when it's happening? The maintenance was several days ago, why are there still major issues? It's site wide so it's not like they don't know it's happening. Why is the only source for information on a forum post? You can barely even get to the forum with the issues everyone is experiencing.

Today is the first time I am experiencing issues. Whenever I click on a link within the Howrse website (on a laptop, latest version of Chrome) I get a white screen that I need to refresh multiple times (often 5-10 times) before the actual page loads.

I feel annoyed, but can imagine that people who have spend money on this game lately would be angry. These issues definitely don't encourage me to buy passes anytime soon.

Okay, as long as it was a few days it was fine, but currently 8 days have gone by when I had a prepaid VIP account and the game was unplayable. All I've seen since yesterday is a white screen. I was wondering if I should stop actively playing Howrse (and putting my money into it) and this helped a lot. I hope more paying players don't leave.
