Competitions Question
Returning to the game after a few years and recently I've noticed some of my fillers are actually beating out the horses I'm BLUPing. For example, my filler has both lower skills (trained and IBS) and a lower GP than my project horse.
How are competition results calculated? Does *when* the horses were entered make a difference? (i.e. do their skills at time of entry matter?) My project horse was entered yesterday when she had lower skills (did further training after I entered her in the comp) and my filler was entered today with no additional training. Thanks in advance for any insight!

Wondering if I might have answered my own question. Instead of looking at the horses, I looked at the competition itself and noticed this one has a max skill which my project horse now surpasses today.
Can someone confirm if this is the issue?

Only the skills at time of entry matter, and it's the 3 skills used for that particular competition.
If you could post links to the horses in question, and let us know what competition it was, we can probably tell you a bit more

Yes, you must have trained it up a good deal after entering, as based on its current skills, Stella would beat Bree now.
Morale also plays a factor, but we can only assume Stella had much lower skills at the time, since it would no longer qualify for that competition now.
