classic vs new

The mobile version isn't the new version; it's just the mobile version. Many new players are on mobile, as Howrse created the app to diversify its players (and because some players were complaining there wasn't a mobile option to care for horses and their EC easier when they were away, and it has only been recently that Howrse has developed the game to better work on the mobile app.).
However, it is still a browser-based game and still works most optimally on the browser. The app is still often buggy and doesn't support the full range of features. A lot of newer players will see it on the App store as they're browsing through and download it before they'll ever realise it's a browser-based game. I think you'll find a lot of older, more original players mostly play on the web/classic version unless they don't have a device that supports it easily.

this game was never meant to be an app and is only an app to stop people from complaining it wasn't an app. the app has a lot of issues. the classic version works much better. and doing it on a regular browser is even easier. the app will never function the way the regular game does.

This made me Very true! I have tried using the mobile app and it very difficult to access and navigate most pages and get the numerical entry boxes to actually filter out horses. Buttt, it is nice to have when you are on the go. The one plus of mobile is auto-comping, which on classic I believe is a VIP perk.

oh my god i had no idea you could autocomp without being a VIP on the newer version
