I only made it four boards today, and ended up wasting a ton of lives since I'm no good at memorizing these kind of things, but I got good prizes so I'm happy. I don't remember this event from when I used to play I guess.

REMEMBER,

You don't have to use the Crystal ball on board 2 when Emma tells you to, you can use it on another board. Just click on a tile and ignore her default smiley (l)

As always Nalu93, your helpful comments and tips are always welcome!

Thank you very much! default smiley (l)

You can write them down if you don't want to risk memorizing.

I just draw a grid on scaps of paper and write down a name for each tile, but others will take screenshots, pictures on their phones, or use spreadsheets. Whatever works for youdefault smiley :)

The spoilers chat has a picture with all the different types of tiles. If anybody thinks it would be useful to them.

What I noticed after playing on a few different servers and making a misclick on puzzle two:

If you end puzzle two with only four lives (so intentionally make a mistake), when you open puzzle three, the game will give you four extra lives for free. So you will start level 3 on eight lives, which is more than if you don't make a single mistake on puzzle 2!

I tested this on a couple of servers and if I finished level 2 on five/six/seven lives, I would start level 3 with the same amount of lives. But if I finished level 2 on four lives, I would get four extra lives, starting level 3 on eight lives!

it'd be really hard to make it much past the first couple flip on board 5 without spending passes. just normal play close to finishing 4 just starting 5 is right where you should be. I miss counted earlier. I have 6 to match on 4 but have already flipped a match (the last card I flipped matched one I flipped earlier) and of the 4 others left 2 have been flipped so won't have to guess the match when I flip the 2 unflipped ones. so I just have to make the 3 matches which won't cost me any lives tomorrow to move to 5

does everyone get the same regular prize cards on each board. I know not in the same spots. I've already gotten a Hypno's Blanket, whip and spurs.

Got to board 6 with 6 flipped opened, which means the board will be essentially cleared for free tomorrow haha! I love this event cause its pretty simple (pen and paper, write it down)

and @Hiram Farmer I got those too!

Is this an event that we should be able to finish without spending passes?

Memory event is really not for me, cause luck is never on my side, and I am always behind most players lol! Don't care tho, since there's no goo Grand prize, so I'll just get what I can

For me, this is such a casual event. If I get the prizes, great! If not, that’s ok too (just trying to improve my memory here default smiley (lol) )

If I was playing to get a divine for free, it would be much more stressful.

For those who have memory issues with the tiles, make a little board and write them down! That's how I get through this event, either that or I take photos of each opening on my phone and go back through them.
Before I got my first phone, I'd draw a board on a piece of paper or anything near me at the time. Most random thing I used was a piece of tissue paper because I was wrapping presents and it was right there and convenient, so default smiley (lol)

Legit a simple drawing will help anyone through this event. Then just fill the boxes in with something to help you remember the item, I usually just wrote the items name, example being 'heart' or 'bridle'.

I truly am upset about there only being TWO trot horseshoes. Shame on you Howrse for making one discipline seem less than another. All other horseshoes so far have been the proper 4. Also, a Divine to only offer 2 pass seeds? I don't understand the need to make the Mushroom series so expensive, with such little payout on the Divine perks. Another one I'll be skipping but can't wait for some of the goodies in the event!

"Today, 1 x Crystal ball joker free!"
Does it mean I have to use it today or I get it today for free but I can use it whenever I want?

It needs to be used today, tomorrow you'll get a different one (shows outlines of all cards in a certain family). They don't stack though, if you don't use them they disappear.

I got about halfway through level 4, and have flipped enough that I can make zero mistakes on it tomorrow. The prizes are meh for me, but I don't mind since it gives me time to ease back and save up passes.

I always use Google docs spreadsheet to keep track of tiles I've already flipped over. Saves time and frustration. Plus since my kitties like taking things no chance of misplacing whatever notepad or scraps of paper being used.

I decided to use my iphones notes, and the table option. Currently for rounds where the board is only 4 across it works pretty well

I must say the prizes are sorely lacking. The Divine is another dust collector in my opinion since I'm not willing to waste 30 days making a measly 100 passes. Howrse really needs to revamp the pass seed growing system. Not enough payout vs the time involved to do it.

Im not paying passes on this event. I might use the tychee crown on mushroom divine if i get that far she gives pass seed but i have to grow straw for her.. The last event i wouldve paid alot of passes on if i could had. I just dont know what to do with sOA coat since i dont sell horses anymore.

Especially when the Divine itself only drops 2 seeds at a time, so you need to go through 13 drop cycles just for a 100-pass payout. AND pay this all yourself in equus or sacrifice a field, of course, since it's a pay-to-drop one that eats straw. default smiley (8)

Yeah, it's pretty bad.

might be a bit sly but if your fast enough you can snap a pic from your phone of your laptop with the tiles flipped. If you take about 187 pics you can get through without losing too many lives default smiley (8)default smiley (8)
