I logged in every day of this event and still only got through four of the "maps". Also, a lot of the questions to get past the obstacles are so obscure if you only play this game and don't have horses as a massive presence outside of it, the only way to get past was to Google it or guess and risk getting it wrong. It was also boring to play; just mindless clicking and an attempt to get your hard-earned passes.

The prizes were very much just "meh" for me. More of what I've got already, and that's about it. I suppose it's a good way for new players to pick up items you can get almost anywhere else, though... like eqques, tack, certain companions and ageing points, as well as the black market item you get if you manage to complete the map.

I managed all the boards with just doing them daily. It was simple, and fun for me. The end prize could of been better in my opinion but it was still a nice event I felt I actually made progress on without pass buying to reach the end.

Hello:

I completed all the boards and collected most of the prizes.
I also collected most of the fragments for the Yellow Dwarf.
After purchasing 9 Tyche's Crowns, I completed the Yellow Dwarf.
I am now waiting to see how long it takes to receive the Champion Seed reward.

It was not as expensive as some of the previous promo's.
I had a lot of fun with this promo.

I didn't have to spend a single pass and still made it through to the end. With this in mind, I thought the prizes were fair.

Very happy with the prizes considering I was not able to complete the event due to unforseen
circumstances.

Finished without passes. Prizes were okay, not great but free. Last prize should be better than three horseshoes. I don't consider the new horseshoes to be anything more than special tack. They don't have a long time usefulness in the game. The horses you put them on, unless divine, will be obsolete in short order.

Some areas of the mazes were such that no matter what was spun, you couldn't avoid certain boxes. Most of the time it was a good box but this really takes the randomness out of the game.

Was only able to complete 4 of the boards; biggest 'gripe' was that the boards felt... Very repetitive/dragging? As in they were very long with few variations, for the few daily spins we got (even accounting for the +4 we could get doing the daily objectives). It certainly wasn't bad, but my enthusiasm for checking it every day definitely dwindled after the first week because progress felt kinda slow, especially if you got a string of bad luck and only rolled 1 or 2 and then kept hitting the -1 spaces.

Overall, not bad - the prizes as a whole were decent, would have liked the ability to more likely complete the Yellow Dwarf fragments just from this game (or at least get close enough to justify buying a couple of Tyche Crowns to complete the set; it seemed like, from the fact that I completed 4 boards and got 208 fragments total, I would've maybe ended up with 500, which given the likelihood of finding fragments, is a big enough gap to completion that I wouldn't risk buying more passes/Crowns). It was a neat concept, and I did like that we could participate a fair amount through playing the game and without "needing" to buy passes to see real progress.

I was able to complete all of the boards. I did buy one set of extra spins, but only because I lost track of what day it was & thought I was on Sunday, but it was only Saturday. Oh well, at least I was able to restart the boards & I picked up a couple prizes I missed the first time around with my extra spins.

Just wish the final prize would have been a Divine. Now to try & build up my passes again.

I usually don’t like luck-based things because for some reason, I always mourn that I could have gotten better stuff. I don’t mind most luck-based stuff on Howrse, though, because I usually never see what I missed, lol. But I think my luck was pretty terrible relating to chests, because even though I finished all the boards, while the average was only 46%, but I only got 113 prizes and the average was 127! That can’t possibly occur unless I got the short end! default smiley :p

Anyway, I’m glad to get an Iris Coat, which I really like! Now I can gain a breeding set if I wanted! default smiley :d And I got a GA from the Tyche’s Crown! Perfect gift, I’ll say! default smiley :d I almost got the entire Dragon Samurai Tack set, except for the Bridle. Instead, I somehow got a second Ear Bonnet, which is really ruffling up my perfectionist nerves. Oh well, I hope I get the entire set again in the next event except for an Ear Bonnet and an extra Bridle (I managed to complete the Knight’s Tack set when I got four out of five of the set in an event and finally got the last one in the next, so I wonder if it will happen again!) default smiley :-)) I also got lots of black and white tack, which will be good for color bonuses. And I also got M. Blood, P. Strokes and K. Dials which I definitely need. default smiley ;)

I’m also pretty glad you don’t have to do it at any specific time, because the roulettes will still be there the next day, and the day after that, etc. (unless it’s the last day of the event, lol). Since you just have to ride two horses and enter two comps which is usually the bare minimum of what most people do, you don’t even have to look at the page for days and still not lose any progress. That’s great for me since I can’t be wasting too much time on Howrse. default smiley ;)

The only thing I disagree with was making the Archimedes’ Quiz part of the main event since that was just supposed to be a side thing to get APs. (I know the game was originally supposed to be educational since it was meant for kids, but uh, it had already veered far away from that long ago, especially with all the adult-y prices for things.) That’s one reason why I sometimes didn’t bother to look at this event because I was too lazy to check the Archimedes questions website if I were stuck on this. I guess it makes sense to put an obstacle somehow, but I doubt it should be something that is completely optional to main gameplay in general. I’ve seen players in the thread get annoyed at this, too, so yep.
