[UPDATED] Devs' Corner: November 2024
The whole "Next Trophy" thing is really dumb. I have others that are closer and why would the "Great Challenge II' be one since you can't even get that until that promo comes around again?
This "new improvement" is sooooo disheartening....

^ lol, my next trophy is apparently 5k seniority. only one thousand and ninety-some days to go!
-_-

^ lol, my next trophy is apparently 5k seniority. only one thousand and ninety-some days to go! -_- looking at that one as well. Same with: Get 250000 droppings or how about: Give birth to 1 Zonkey Going to be really challenging that one considering I do not have a single pair of breeding stock
|
Yeah, I can't work on barely any of them. It's disheartening beyond words.
And once you DO put all the effort in, all those months and years and decades of work, what do you get for it? +1 number on the ribbon display and the bar instantly set back to the halfway point so you can just start all over from scratch. It's not encouraging at all, honestly. I'm working (slowly) towards the competition ones, because those are the only ones I can complete, but it's a drag and there's no enjoyment in it.

What on earth is this objective??
Horse Yggdrasil II Breed a Yggdrasil horse aged at least 25 years I got one born way back in 2019, that I haven’t touched since. So he’s still a few hours old…. but the II objective… does the game want me to send 1000000+ horses that are 25+ years old to heaven? Probably right?

So he’s still a few hours old…. but the II objective… does the game want me to send 1000000+ horses that are 25+ years old to heaven? Probably right? I don't think it'll go that high since his perk caps at 150000 years, so the trophy likely will too. Assuming you sent every horse to heaven at exactly 25 years old, that would be 6000 horses sent. Which is still an insane amount, of course, but you could do less by aging them higher before sending them. But, yeah, it's still a bad objective. I don't age Yggdrasil since my horses are worth more than his perks so there's no value in it for me, so it's a trophy I'm never going to get.

@Crookedstar915 thank you.
Wouldn't dream of doing it either - I was wondering what on earth was up with that trophy. The sheer number of horses to get there are mind boggling. I had no idea Never understood why we needed that divine anyways - but guess it's like an reverse gold sink. The Howrse way to remove some horses from the game. Imagine how long it would take to naturally age ONE horse to 25 never using any AP's

Imagine how long it would take to naturally age ONE horse to 25 never using any AP's If you wanted to age them naturally, just set up a rolling farm like we did with pass horses so that you're always breeding a few to replace the ones you're sending all of the time. No, I certainly don't feel he's worth that much unless you really feel like bothering with him, but the process itself isn't that bad, and is definitely doable. Working the horses for it every day also gives you droppings and equus from missions.
|
When it comes to Yggy I treat it as an aging point farm, which also adds towards the dropping trophies. I will usually buy 25+ horses for a lot cheaper than 32 year olds, or 30-32 year olds if my farm of them is a bit far behind. It's expensive, but it's given me a way to get rid of the equus that will make vet fees cost more, plus I will eventually get something in the end. Outside of Black Friday I don't like having a lot of equus on hand, so this gives me a way to keep my reserve down.
I know I could breed them and age them up myself, but, well, I'm lazy.
|
I'm missing the days when the m arms didn't fall off of mortal horses, it's the only thing stopping me from using my 30+ orchids to make a 200+ mortal horse. For those that won't here, quite a few years back the arms only used to fall off immortal horses, so it didn't cost a ton of aging points to age up.
|
Yeah, I know that it is doable but I also have no interest in my Yggdrasil. He just sits there and will collect dust....well, actually he's already very, very dusty. Matter-a-fact, he's just a big dirt clog.

|
I don't remember that. It was quite a while ago now, maybe 6 or 7 years. This was back when horses couldn't have a m arm put on until 3 years old and horses needed to be at least 1 year and 6 months to have a nyx pack given to them.

Matter-a-fact, he's just a big dirt clog. Feel the same way. Not interested. But must admit. It still fills me with awe thinking about all the time the Yggdrasil players use to work towards the items to collect. Even if they buy the older horses and then age them... the number of ecuus that must require just wow. But I guess it is part of gameplay for them. I'm just happy I can opt out and do other things

This "new improvement" is sooooo disheartening.... ^ lol, my next trophy is apparently 5k seniority. only one thousand and ninety-some days to go! -_- Yep, to both of those! The next trophy thingy is rarely ever correct with even one, let alone the three of them. And i am sitting at 79% (still...it hasn't changed yet because it is so slow going, day by day) of the way to the "5000 days of seniority" trophy, and i also still have over 1000 days to go. Its like 3+ years, IF you log in every single day. The trophy that is really bothering me right now is the Chimeras VI one. It says to Help or ask for help 100 times with your Chimera horses. Its frustrating trying to gain with it, because very few people are asking for help. I know there probably aren't many newly released or untamed Chimeras (for those that bother to tame them anyway) out there right now, but it used to be fairly dependable that if you want to help others with taming, you should check right after update for the best chance at finding the requests, due to people racing to get theirs tamed. It makes sense right now that not many are "racing" to get theirs tamed, but i was hoping people would try, if for no other reason than to make progress on this new trophy. But i'm having a hard time finding the help requests after update, though i check repeatedly as well as later in the day. It is very much luck to catch any. The reason this is especially frustrating to me now is because i am sitting at 99% on that trophy. I literally need to help one person, one time to finish it, and nobody seems to need any help! Its so hard to be patient ugh.

so annoying. can't do any of it.

How do we know how many players have left the game or how many are currently active? I'd love to know and attribute it to the trophy Update in my head

How do we know how many players have left the game or how many are currently active? I'd love to know and attribute it to the trophy Update in my head 2nd Feb 2023 - 136265 4th March - 143122 We've actually increased players overall, but my seniority ranking has jumped significantly meaning that its mostly long term players that have quit! Considering they are the ones who are most invested to buy passes, Howrse have really shot themselves in the foot! I'm still playing, but a lot of the enjoyment has gone out of the game for me... as an adult, I can see how manipulative these changes are - its similar to the gambling tactics 'gatcha' games use where you eventually can't play properly if you dont spent money!

update on amethyst: still not a single pass drop for a solid month and a half now. strange thing is the rest of the gemstones are back to relatively normal (if more stingy) drops. :l starting to think this divine is just flat out broken or something now. super obnoxious. I have noticed my gemstones being much more stingy too, Gypsum has always been a wash but Onyx and Quartz used to be pretty reliable and now a drop is rare. Quartz has gotten a bit better but I almost never see Onyx's UFO be a pass anymore. No proof that anything has changed because can't see the code, but nerfing divines after they've been released and paid for would be pretty scummy
|
I personally find it really varies with the gems, sometimes they have a good month and sometimes they have a bad. This is what I posted in the VIP forum for February -
The total passes I got from my three Jades this month - Jade 1 - 220 Jade 2 - 190 Jade 3 - 270 I'm recording March right now, so 2 and 3 really have me curious about how much they will give during the month.
|
I haven't noticed a negative change in my Onyx and Jade; actually my Onyx has been kicking butt lately. 12 days in February he gave me passes, with a 5 day in a row stint at some point. My Jase also gave me 50p twice in February (along with smaller amts, I just didn't record those), and I think had done it at least once in January too. Gypsum has sucked though, but mine has always sucked lol.

Does anyone have a list of all the divines that you can get for trophy prizes?
|
So far, the only ones we know are Tiny, Tarpan, Tianma, Etrian, Skinfaxi (spelling?), and Dark Chocolate. We've been told there's a Xanthos at some point, but otherwise haven't been given a list. We learn them as players reach the milestone to collect a divine
|
Maybe complaining worked, Onyx and Quartz both gave me passes today
